I need an office workstation or 16 GB of ram

I need a minimum of 16 GB of ram desktop/workstation with 64-bit processor clocked at more than 3 GHz and the windows 7 64-bit operating system or free. Less than 900 $USD. Any recommendation?

You can configure almost all OptiPlex systems for this.  For example:

OptiPlex 7010 with i5(4-core) @ 3.4, 16 GB, Win7x64 = $ 828 (i7 is growing $ 923)

  • All the machines of the company have the option of Windows 7
  • All machines in use shipped with Windows 8.x
  • All systems come with a 64-bit version of Windows
  • With consumption machines, one with 16 GB of RAM of the plant will cost you $1000 or more
  • Company machines are more flexible configurations
  • You could get a consumer/home machine, then make a deal after upgrading RAM for less than $1000

Hi - I'm confused and need help. I want to upgrade my RAM 8 GB to 16GB. According to records online for my model, I need 2-204 pin DDR3 DIMM. I have been in contact with Crucial for ordering a couple, but they insist that I need the DIMM 240-pin. They suggest that it is perhaps typo on the HP site because 204 pins are for laptops. I sent them a copy of the sheet of HP and they insist that I need 240 pin.

Could someone point me in the right direction?

    Greetings,

banhien and Crucial are correct. 204 pins is the memory of the laptop and there is typo on Memphis B memory specifications...

It's your motherboard, Memphis B. Watching chipset is an Intel H87. It shows two supports DIMM DDR3 204 pins.

It is the motherboard HP S of Memphis. Watching chipset is an Intel H87. It shows two supports DDR3 240-pin DIMM.

  • Need MS Office 2000 sr - 1 Premium CD

I don't know what I did to my computer, but whenever I click on a video, I wonder in MS Office 2000 Sr - 1 Premium CD.  If I click on "Cancel"I still get to see the video. ". But it's annoying to have to click on 'Cancel' all the time.   I went to the Microsoft page, the info was there for download, but it is not download.  How can I get this download?

If you have the Office 2000 installation CD and product key - go to control panel and add or remove programs and uninstall/remove Office 2000 (Microsoft Office 2000).

You can install it again later.

See if that solves your problem for now.  If so, good.  You can work on Office 2000 installation later.  Although, to be honest with you, OpenOffice is free and WAY better than Office 2000.

If you want to install Office 2000 instead of something that could actually open files Microsoft modern Office (see the OpenOffice link above), you can.  Install from the CD.

    Reset.

Download and install Office 2000 Service Release 1 (SR - 1a).

    Reset

Download and install the Office 2000 Update: Service Pack 3 (SP3).

    Reset.

  • Need help: X 3100 is 128 MB of RAM with XP on N200 with 2 GB of RAM

I bought the N200 TY2ELTK Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz 1 GB 160 GB yesterday. Upgrade to 2 GB RAM. Vista pushed 384 MB of video RAM. Today, I downgraded to XP Pro but graphic ram appears as 128 MB.

Can someone help me with this problem? I expect any suggestions...

Thank you so much everyone. I see the point. Unless I have install Vista, my vram will be 128 and it is normal. I will keep memory footprint as high level chart. It will do the trick. I need a laptop for my translation work, and it will be much too good for that sort of thing. In the future, I may try Linux. I guess I'll take advantage of this forum a lot. Take care of everyone.

  • Workstation 8.0.2 CPU / RAM / pagefile settings

I'm just starting with vmware workstation 8.0.2 and so far so good.  This has been impressive in virtualization.  A couple of questions tho that I have not been able to find an answer online.

My host: (Dell T7500) Dual six core (12 cores) Xeon 2.8 ghz with VT support, 48GB of ram and several SAS 3 GB/s RAID disks configured and a smaller separate host drive.  Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

Range of VMs for Win XP 32 bit, Win 7 32 bit, Win SBS2000 Exchange SQL Svr, Win SBS2011 oracle running and some fresh Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit machines.

To get the most out of my hardware / performance.

    1. Should I have the BIOS for the VT virtualization support, correct?
    2. I have also hyper threading enabled in the BIOS Windows 24 hearts bishoprics.  What is the best way to use the processors?
    3. For Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit guest I am limited to the processor cores (2), no matter if I put the number of processor cores per processor for a total of 2 cores or numbers.  Is this correct?  It's the OS will support? Performance is the same regarless of the settings - correct?
    4. With 48 GB, I have made it all the virtual memory in ram host for true - correct?
    5. What is the size of swap file would be on win7 Ultimate 32 bit comments if I allocate 2 or 3 GB of physical RAM for the guest?  Is there a rule of thumb for size distribution and file of the RAM of the guests?
    6. Finally, I use Symantec Enpoint protection (12.1) on the host and the guests and said to the host computer to ignore the virtual file extenstions.

Everything seems to work fine, but I feel that I fell into it.  No indication on these parameters would be greatly appreciated.

To get the most out of my hardware / performance.

    1. Should I have the BIOS for the VT virtualization support, correct?

Yes. Otherwise, you can run the 64-bit clients.

    1. I have also hyper threading enabled in the BIOS Windows 24 hearts bishoprics.  What is the best way to use the processors?

Hyperthreading allows the Scheduler to OS comments a bit faster delegate processes to processors. The work itself is not faster, as the real number of CPUS is not increased, but it helps. So, Yes.

    1. With 48 GB, I have made it all the virtual memory in ram host for true - correct?

I don't know if you have done this. But you should as long as the amount of RAM you have given to all guests is available for VM Workstation RAM.

    1. What is the size of swap file would be on win7 Ultimate 32 bit comments if I allocate 2 or 3 GB of physical RAM for the guest?  Is there a rule of thumb for size distribution and file of the RAM of the guests?

I would leave that decision to the Windows guest OS.

  • I want to buy MS Access for our office. We have windows XP Professional, version do I need?

    Hello

I am trying to buy MS Access to our office that runs a Windows XP Prpfessional package. Access has not come with our package, so we need to buy it separately. I'm confused on the question of whether I need a version upgrade or a full version... Please help!

    Thank you very much

In addition to the table comparison of Malkeleah has already been mentioned, it is possible to buy access as a stand-alone product, which will be certainly cheaper than professional Office. It depends on if you need other Office products or have other installed Office products.

If you already have an Office suite installed, and want to buy a later version of access as a stand-alone product, I post Office Forum to ask if there can be problems with execution, for example, Access 2010, alongside Office 2003...

    Hi JoelStringer,

Outlook Express is a program built into Windows XP. It is not possible to uninstall Outlook Express.

If you installed Microsoft Office, you can uninstall of Add / Remove Programs.

Microsoft Silverlight is a powerful tool to create and deliver rich Internet applications and media experiences on the Web.
