• Mac ppc is now incompatible with most Web sites who need Flash Player?

  I uninstalled Flash Player to shoot badly to another problem I had last week. It was not the cause, but when I tried to re - install, Adobe would only my system download and install Flash Player 9. I'm sure I had a version of 10 before, but I can't say for sure. In any case, this is when most every site that requires Flash Player (including the Adobe site has stopped working for me on this system by saying that I have to install Flash Player 10.2.

  As a ppc running osx 10.4.11 is clearly on the Adobe download page can use Flash Player 9!  This means that this computer has just become obsolete for use on the web?

  It doesn't seem to be a thread on the web but nothing concrete, and I find no download anywhere for Flash Player 10 under 10.2! Same Version Tracker as far as I can find has nothing.
  
  Can you confirm that it will not work with the site to Adobe Flash Player 9? Has it been changed or upgraded in the last week or two?

  And... Do you have any ideas where I might be able t find a version of Flash Player 10 under 10.2?

  All these sites were working on this computer until last week, so I know it's possible (unless, of course, all these sites have changed last week).

  Is there anything else I can try?

  You will need to download the Flash Player 10.1 (81.7 MB) and save it to your desktop. Then you will find the 10.1.102.64 version for the Mac platform. There is also a Readme file.

• Flash site; using DW for ftp; you need flash player?

  I did a site in Flash CS4.  With the help of DW as my ftp.  When I download my index.html and go the field he says I need to download the latest flash player, I already downloaded.  Is something I do in DW or Flash that will not allow the swf to render in the browser?  I'm new to both applications.

  I am running Windows XP Home Edition and Internet Explorer Version 6.0.

  I think I have a problem with step "install."  My currently installed programs in the Add/Remove list includes 3 Adobe products:

  Adobe Download Manager size 0.40 MB

  Given by size of Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX No.

  Adobe Reader 7.0 size 61,54 MB

  I get 100% via the download and installation process and finally access the confirmation of installation screen.  But I never have the 'film', which apparently means that installation was good.

  What I'm missing or what I am doing wrong?  Why did the size of the file missing for FP 10 ActiveX in Add/Remove programs.

  OK, first of all, go to tools > manage add ons (both are responsible and have been) and find the Shockwave Flash object... ActiveX control... Flash10e.10.0.45.2 must be listed and enabled. If this isn't Flash10e.ocx, click Shockwave Flash Object and

  Look at the lower bottom, the "activeX update", right click on that and let it update.

  The DLM in Add/Remove is upward and is supposed to be for himself, so remove it and if you see a getPlus, also delete it and Reboot (restart) and then uninstall it from your computer.

  Usually, the size of the file for Flash Player is not listed and doesn't mean anything anyway. What is important is that it is registered.

  I think that IE7/IE8 can sometimes indicate the size.  Probably because it is not a program per themselves. Flash Player is a browser plugin.

  Check that SWO, maybe that's all that you lack.

  At home, my computer connects to the internet by dial-up. Packages of 17 MB download may take a few hours, and I need Flash Player for Firefox and Internet Explorer.

  What I did was d/l product packages on a public computer with free broadband on a USB at home with me. However, I find is no longer a link to player packages. I can only find the link to the installation program, which, once run to install the product on the computer on which it runs.  If I take the home installation package I download once more for 2 hours for each version of the player.

  Is there a link I can use to d/l the product packages themselves, rather than the heel of the installer?  I need a link that will allow me to d/l for each browser, or a link for each browser package.

• Flash player seems to be missing in Mac, Mavericks - even once it is installed successfully.

  First of all, I am in a current Mavericks OS on a Mac Powerbook with Firefox 39.0.

  First of all, I started to receive messages that I need Flash Player to see this or this new video, so I installed a copy, maybe not the "best" source. then I started to receive messages to the effect that it would not be OK, so I went in "tools / modules / plugins and selected 'never turn on'." I looked for a way to remove this module, but could not find a way.

  Then I went to the Adobe site and installed Flash Player from here. This completed and indicated that the installation was successful. But then, I find that this new version does not even appears in the list of plug-ins, and of course, that it is never active, therefore effectively invisible.

  I'm sure I've been through things upwards but have no idea where to start to remedy that. Help!

  Finally, the current Flash Player is safe to use?

   Problem solved. Apparently Adobe Flash Player installs a plugin to Firefox that is named "Shockwave Flash", and I had disabled that thinking it might have been an insecure bit of software.

  I made one off-reboot the box. After more than 200 updates all seems to work fine only takes 35 seconds to load instead of the 10 minutes before.
  But have one problem: try to watch Youtube videos, I get the message I have flash player, no probs.
  I download flash player, it said installation successful, fine, not when I go on Youtube and select the song that I'm informed that I need flash player to watch.

  I expel flashplayer and install again, but still same message you need flash player to view.

  Have you tested it with different browsers?
  IE9, Firefox or Google Chrome?

  Check if all the cities of the browser have the same problem with the Flash Player.
