I need more RAM?

Using CS4 and the project becomes bigger and bigger. It is now up to 85 min HD occupied; effects, transitions, 60 title my models.  I have to reboot often enough to avoid crashing.  If I catch him in time so that nothing is lost, but...

I add to the slowest project of my computer runs.

That makes sense, but what I wonder is this a symptom of need more RAM?

Currently, Vista 64 bit, 8 GB of ram.

I have three sata of the HHD, a dual core processor and a new videocard evea. I know the modeol, but for now, it's fast enough with a good memory.

Thanks Jim

ICRA response from an Adobe employee is almost always going to be YES.

In other words, if you have a 64 bit OS, then RAM is always the best and the best way to improve the performance of the system with Premiere Pro.

Another suggestion to clean your project is to clean the media cache - it might be useful to run a little bit if you have not done in a long time.

See you soon,.

  • Windows 7 need more RAM for games that xp

Why some games need more RAN for windows 7, for example:

arkham asylum Batman needs 1 GB of RAM for windows xp and 2 GB for windows 7

The more you get on versions of Windows, the more RAM is required. There are a variety of reasons, but all simply, Vista and Windows 7 require more memory that make old versions of Windows. New technology requires more power.

The game itself shouldn't need more that about 500-600 MB of RAM, however, the specs say you should leave little memory RAM remains for tasks of Windows and other programs you may have running in the background (such as anti-virus, etc.)

  • Satellite Pro L100 need more RAM for the graphics

I have a Satellite Pro L100 with a 256 MB of the igp x200m no specialized version. Must automatically RAM my system RAM based on what system total RAM I have installed. 512 MB it took 64 MB, 1 GB, but 128 MB. I was wondering if someone could tell my how to beyond 1 GB RAM, say 1.5 or 2 GB?

    Thank you

    Hi Jessica

According to the specifications of the laptop, the graphics card supports 32 to 256 MB video memory shared.
So in my opinion, it should be able to use the 256 MB like max.
In the properties of the ATI radeon graphics card, you will find the tab called Frame Buffer
Here you can change the size of the memory to higher value UMA frame buffer

The memory of 1.5 GB should be enough to choose the 256 MB graphics card

    Hello @Valrayx,

    Thanks for the quick response!

To simplify my previous post, you can add memory in the following configurations:

    12 MB, using 1 x 8 MB and adding 1 x 4 MB

    16 MB, using 1 x 8 MB and adding 1 x 8 MB

Your operating system is a 64-bit, so the RAM should be supported.  I hope this helps.

  • Satellite M70-131 - I want to add more RAM

    Hello

    I have a Satellite M70-131
    Part number: PSM70E-01500RAR

I want to add more RAM, because I know you have to check three points to buy a new:
    -How can I add?
    -The type of RAM?
-The number of the BIOS or BUS?

I'm not sure about the third point, I know that I can add to 2G, and the type of RAM is DDR2.
But if I have the right point, how can I check the number (BIOS or BUS)? Because I tried to add one, but did ' t work!

    Help me please
    Thnx 4 all

    Hello!

The Satellite M70-131 can be upgraded to 2 GB of RAM and you have already said you need DDR2 RAM.
Specification for RAM is DDR2 400/533 and you can add two modules with 1 GB of capacity of each module. The reference is PA3411U-1M1G.

What do you mean with many BUS and BIOS? This has nothing to do with an upgrade of RAM.

    Good bye

  • Need more performance on my Satellite A200 - 23K

    Hello everyone.
I would like to ask for help, please, because I'm confused. I bought my computer toshiba laptop about 2 years ago. At the time I thought it was a pretty good laptop for games because I wanted a laptop. Now my problem is that I'm confused. Confused performance. I can't play on low etc. My framerate is quite large. I used windows vista. Then after 3 formats, I decided to go back to xp pro. There was a significant change, but still I couldn't go any lower. I would ask a help, is possible to upgrade my laptop for a better? As the purchase of new equipment, or it's useless.

My characteristics of the model then:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 at 1.66 GHZ
Graphics card: Ati Radeon Mobility 2600
    BIOS version: 5.60
    RAM: 2G
OS: Windows Xp Pro Service Pack 3
    Card mother ID SROSA001.86C.0034.D.0805152046
    Bus Type Intel GTL +

My computer shows my motherboard as?. These last 2 things are the only information I have. I really need help. My questions are.
    (1) can I put my computer hardware?
    (2) where I can download decent drivers because the drivers of toshiba support are so old. Example ati radeon driver.
    (3) how can I boost my computer's performance?

So if anyone can help me, I really appreciate it. If you need more information about my hardware please ask. I could really use some help because im so confused. I even downloaded ati tray tools and support toshiba ati driver and I don't even know which use.

    Hello

    > 1) can I upgrade my hardware?

No, you can't do it. Only you can improve memory and the hard drive. But not the Cpu or gpu. You can read here the article support Tosh:

    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=13

(> 2) where I can download decent drivers, because support for toshiba drivers are so old. Example ati radeon driver.
You can visit radeon ati to get drivers and try to install.

(> 3) how can I push the performance of my computer?

You can add more memory, I guess that your model supports up to 4 GB of memory

  • More RAM can be added to an ET1831?

I bought a used ET1831-05 desktop computer. I want to upgrade the computer. Can I change the CPU on the present mo/bo? Also, can I add more RAM and install a nVidea GTX570 video card?

Unless you have more than two hard drives, I'd say 550W is sufficient.  You could use a 600W but you might pay extra for you wouldn't need capacity.

You have a lot of disorder of the system and the multiplicity of unnecessary services that run in the background which creates this delay! To resolve this, use a software utility as a mechanic system optimizer advanced system, spotmau powersuite, etc.. To get the best study on the software, then go to.
Download the trial of the product (taken from the official website of the product) that you like seeing the results from the link given above! type the name of products on google and download the free trial version of this software. In these programs, you will find many tools, but you should try turbo boost or disable unnecessary services or any other found in the utility programs that benefits you.
I use the professional mechanic system and disable unnecessary services tool use that eliminates unnecessary programs and free memory
By reducing the startup program will boost your system startup...
  • Installing more ram will make my computer Windows XP go faster?

    original title: windows xp
Good so I have a few things.

    1. I have a dell Dimension 3000 that hang out around 256 mb of ram and a 70-80 GB hard drive, I use it only for a camera of security around the House, but now the computer is so slow, that I want to upgrade.

    2. I would like to ask a few more ram in it, at least 2 GB, will make that it go faster?

    3. I also might want to replace the hard drive, it makes not go faster, and I have to reinstall the OS?

4 will be one of this affect my security camera because the dimension has these ports inside the motherboard that allows to add stuff to it and I plug this card of mother of security camera and my friend helped me to implement, he moved so that he can not help me more. I was wondering, if replaceing the drive and ram will make my pc faster and still be able to use my camera to safety without any reinstallation

    Thank you!

Note: Some of these old dell computers have only a drive Bay and the data cable is short and has only one connector for the hard drive. If this is the case and you plan to go XP disk a larger and faster hard you will need a USB external drive to store the backup Image file. Pull the old drive, use the emergency recovery CD to restore the new disk.

Also based on time, this model has been sold by Dell, the chances are very high that the biggest hard drive you can install is a disk of 120 GB PATA/IDE BIOS will not support 48-bit LBA (disks more 1237 GB in size).

In short the additional memory (1 GB) and a pilot of faster (7200 RPM) will improve performance a bit. But this is an older system, so don't expect miricals.

  • Initial size (MB) and maximum (MB) size should I use to add more RAM to my memory?

I followed the instructions on a video on how to add more RAM to your computer without taking it apart.

I followed all the steps up until I came to the part in the dialog 'virtual memory '.  Where it says, 'custom size' you have to put the ' initial size (MB) and the ' size maximum (MB).  How do I know what size to put in this area?

I looked up my information on my computer:

    Windows Vista Edition Home Premium

    Memory: 1.00 GB

    System type: 32-bit

Now, while I was following instructions to add more RAM.

    my computer displays this information:

in the performance option dialog box:

In the tab advanced under virtual memory, it is said:

"page for all readers file size: MB."

In the virtual memory dialog box:

    for the C: drive:

There's the initial size (MB) - white

and (MB) maximum size - White

What should I do in this case?  What would be the initial size and maximum size?

    Hello Palette,

You talk about 'virtual' non-physical memory. There is a difference.

UPN based on the amount of RAM 'physical' you have in your machine the ' virtual RAM should be of approximately 1.5 hour of Aries. You have currently 1 GB of physical RAM Windows allocates already 1.5 GB RAM virtual and, frankly, it is better to let Windows manage the virtual memory file.

If you want to improve then install the physical RAM more. Your guide to computer manufacturers will tell you to what maximum physical RAM, you can install and what type it is. I admit that I have changed the physical RAM to many times so know what I'm doing, but, frankly, it's less of a hassle to change the physical RAM which play with virtual RAM.

RAM memory modules simply slide in and are cut in place. Change the RAM in a desktop computer is easier than a cell phone, but you will get much better results increase the physical RAM that you would changing virtual RAM.

Of course, this is assuming that you need in the first place of the increased RAM. I recently increased my physical RAM of 4 GB to 8 GB and hardly noticed any difference.
