Using a dummy battery in a 70 d EOS

My question is this: I'm a fictitious battery to plug into the camera so I can use an external source of the larger battery.  I also want to use a power adapter to power 7.5V to the camera but don't know how much current the device draws.  I need to know if I can get an adequate adapter to power the camera.  Any help is appreciated!

Thank you!

Canon does an accessory called the "AC Adapter Kit ACK - E6' - that is exactlyl what you want (slipts in battery but allows the camera to operate on sector.)

Although the Canon site it lists as an accessory for $180, Department stores seem to sell for $120 (not always cheap.)

There are a LOT of fakes (several are $ 25 or less), but READ REVIEWS because I found the number of negative comments to be extremely high with many claiming that they either did not work at all, worked alone for a few minutes, or were very flakey (camera would lose power in the Middle session).

Therefore, I'm not sure I want to roll the dice on a knock-off.

I have a 60Da (a special version of the 60 d produced by Canon specifically for astrophotography) and astrophotography tends to eat through batteries very quickly due to sometimes very long exposure involved.  Therefore, Canon includes the ACK - E6 with the camera (so I am an owner but I didn't have to buy it separately).  The ACK - E6 works extremely well.

Depending on what you mean by "voice command", either:

Settings / general / accessibility / VoiceOver / OFF, or

    Settings / Siri / OFF

As for your use of the battery, you can check what app pulls most of its use in the settings / battery.  A new version of the app is sometimes problematic, not necessarily iOS or iPhone.  If you see a unusual % of use of a particular application, or force-to leave it removal/reinstalling it or remove it until an update comes.  If anything seems unusual, it might be a problematic installation of iOS, in which case, you could backup your iPhone and restore it:

  • "No cell coverage" not listed in the use of the battery

During the audit of the use of the battery parameters, on an iPad 2 Air, WiFi and cellular, upgrade 10.0.2, 'No cell coverage' is listed and uses a lot of battery percentage. This never happened since the purchase of the iPad two years ago. I've recently updated to iOS 10.0.2 and T-Mobile as the cellular carrier. This occurs when the two Wi - Fi AND cellular data are turned off. I barely use the cell service as it is, first of all just use wifi, and I never leave the cellular data connection on when you do not. I noticed a few days ago a T-Mobile "Carrier Update" has been pushed to the iPad. Someone else with the same situation?

Hi there, stumped127! Thank you for using communities of support from Apple!

Use of your iPad 2 Air indicates that it is looking for service even if you have data Wi - Fi and cell phone turned off after update to iOS 10.0.2. Given that mobile data is off, it shouldn't have an impact on the battery and I will be happy to help you with this. Be sure to test after each numbered step.

How to back up your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch --before troubleshooting a device, I always recommend a fresh backup. It is preferable "to have" one to the 'need' to a backup.

    1. forcing a nearby app on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - first, quit all running applications, and then restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - never underestimate the power of a good restart.

    2. reset the iPad settings - do not forget to write your networks, Wi-Fi/passwords before you start. On your iPad, go to settings > general > reset > reset all settings. This step returns your iPad to factory default settings. Test and if that solves the problem, use your backup to restore your settings.

  • Use and standby battery Iphone6s time

A few days ago, I got a replacement from apple (iPhone6s) phone and drains battery much faster compared to my previous iPhone6s. So I went to check the use of the battery and the day before, the usuage and Eve has the time (1 to 2 minutes of different sometimes). Is this a problem? All my friends who have the same phone as me doesn't work not I have this problem. Their sleep are usually much longer and their phones have a life better battery.

    Hi there Anson_,

It seems that the software on your phone is not properly read the queue time and use. I would start by quitting the application settings on your phone:

Force an app to close the iOS

    1. press the Home button twice quickly. You will see small glimpses of your applications recently used.
    2. slide to the left to find the application you want to close.
    3. push upward on the overview of the application to close.

When you have done that reboot the device and test again the question:

iOS: switch off and on (restart) and reset

If the problem persists, save your device in iTunes, then restore it like new and verify that it works.

If this is the case, restore your backup either check it still works and just reinstalled software or circumvent the problem in the backup file itself. Who should get the info to update properly, please use the Apple Support communities.

    Hello

The best way to save battery life is to go into the settings and turn off Apps Refresh

I now get 3 / 4 hours of battery life more.

You cannot return to a previous ios 9.1

    See you soon

Then restore settings to get rid of any bugs.

  • Mail uses my iPhone battery 6

I have an iPhone 6 with 9.2 running on it.  When I finally upgraded, I continued request to enter my iCloud password settings.  I think that I have fixed (somehow), but now my battery runs completely in 12 hours.  The info on my phone says that my e-mail program uses 81% of my battery, especially with the background activity.  I basically do not use my phone to check my emails, except very occasionally if I'm away from home.  I turned it off iCloud mail now, but the phone is still losing power.  Any ideas?  Oh - and I have my setting to manually extract any message.  Thank you-

    Hi Nancy,.

The resources below provides a few additional ways to save battery life on your iPhone.  Try these options.

On the use of the battery on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

    Check the battery usage

    Go to settings > battery.

To see how long each app has been opened and the screen and running in the background, press on . Under each app, you might see these usage types:

    • Background activity means that your battery is used while the applications running in the background.
    • Audio means that apps to read audio data when running in the background.
    • No cell phone coverage and the weak Signal means that your device is looking for a signal or used with a weak signal.
    • Backup restore & indicates that your device has been backup on iCloud or restore from a backup to iCloud.
    • Rental and leasing of background means that your battery has been used in the follow-up of your device.

Settings to improve the battery life

As you watch your battery usage, you could get a suggestion as activate the auto brightness or brightness adjustment. This is because iOS has determined that the change of these parameters might improve your battery life. You can also see use since last full charge times.

    Use the low power Mode

If you wish to extend your battery life, turn the low-power mode. This reduces power consumption until you turn it off or charge your iPhone at 80%. When low power mode is enabled, certain parameters and features like fetch mail, Hey Siri, background App update, and some visual effects are reduced or turned off.

To enable or disable the low power Mode, tap Settings > battery.

Your iPhone will last longer before that you need to load, but some features may take more time to update or complete. Some tasks may not work until you disable the low-power Mode, or until you charge your iPhone at 80% or more. After that you charge your iPhone at 80% or more, Low Power Mode turns off automatically.

Low power mode reduces or disables these features:

    • Email extraction
    • Hey, Siri
    • Background app refresh
    • Automatic downloads
    • Associations of Wi - Fi
    • Some Visual effects

When low power Mode is turned on, the battery in the status bar will be yellow. You will see and load as a percentage.

Low Power Mode is available only on iPhone.

  • Can I use a Latitude battery in my Inspiron?

I ran the battery down in my Inspiron 5720 while I was working there and in desparation he swapped for my Latitude E6540 battery so I could continue to work. To my surprise, it works very well. She normally perceives and the laptop shows the percentage of battery normally. As the Latitude battery has a capacity higher than the Inspiron battery I get a longer battery life.

So my question is can I carry on using the Latitude battery or it will damage my Inspiron?

The battery model number Latitude is N3X1D while the original Inspiron battery is a 8858 X. The batteries are physically identical.

    Hi johnhsrennie,

Thanks for joining Dell Community Forum.

You can use the battery at your discretion that we recommend to use the E6540 Latitude on an Inspiron 5720 battery.

Please private message us the serial number of the system with your email ID, if you have any questions.

  • Impossible to use the extended battery T420 extension

It is quite disconcerting to have the laptop stop and be empty when the battery life indicator said there is more than 6 hours of life left.

My T420 has a senior 55 + and 27 ++ long battery life.  If the main battery is used to power, when the main battery reaches 0%, it will fail to pass the long battery life and die.  It's not only to stop, it will stop.  Windows don't like this.  If the computer is using the extended battery for power, it can switch successfully to the main battery when the battery reaches 0%.

There seems to be no way 'approved' to force the first laptop using the extended battery.  I got this laptop a few weeks, but in my experimentation, the laptop uses preferably the battery with the lowest percentage of all.

For normal use, long battery life load profile I programmed to stop at 95%, this will get the laptop started on right stack when the two are connected, but not help if I'm out and on the use of the main battery and want to extend by adding the long battery life.

The only method I found to force the laptop to use the battery when the main battery is low-capacity must simply remove the main battery.  Of course, to do this, I have to either stop the laptop or the put it hibernates in.  Then, remove the main battery and attach the long battery life.  Reboot the laptop.  So far, I have no problems with this method. The laptop is perfectly happy with just 27 ++ battery attached.  But if I'm going to pass the batteries, I might as well have an extra 55 ++ lying around and waive the 27 ++.

Would be nice if Lenovo could provide instructions or a software patch that would allow me to tell the laptop to use preferentially the extended battery as soon as it is available.

The way the system is designed, it's that you won't always unload the 2nd battery first, not the main battery. If this is not the case, check the switch on the 2nd battery. Make sure it is in the position "on / green.

  • Use of severe battery after iOs 10.0.2

    Hello.

I have an iPhone 6 since January this year.

updated to iOS 10 the same day that it was released.

and updated to 10.0.2 yesterday evening (less than 24 hours ago).

After 10.0.2, for the first time since I bought the iPhone, I went to sleep with 70% battery capacity and woke up this morning (7 hours later) with the capacity of the battery of only 9%. usually in the same conditions I wake with 60% or 55% battery.

    additional information:

-no running applications (all on the bottom).

-No demanding applications don't open (only Safari, weather, battery, Whatsapp, Contacts).

-everything was in the same way as it has been 9 months since I bought and started using the iPhone.

    anyone with the same problem?

Post edited by: Amaury Vargas (message title - typo)

Given that I've updated yesterday, draining the battery has been massive.  Started a market with 51% battery and phone off after only 15 minutes.

    10.0.1 wasn't too bad.

    Hello

Your iPad can be charged when you want - and also can be left connected to the power when you use it.

There is no need to leave the battery to run first, or no advantage to win to do so.
