OMG help!

I was about to sell my book 50CT and the buyer asked me to remove my passwords and I removed my supervisor password.

Y at - it a maintenance password published for this product because it so old, it is not cost effective to post it to Toshiba. I can provide my serial number by e-mail if this can help.

Hello

Please check if you can access the BIOS. Check if it is possible to change or remove the password. If this is not possible, then you can contact the ASP to remove the password.

  • Satellite Pro C660-29W. How to remove the supervisor password

    Hi all
I've been locked out of my bios and I don't know the password. My little brother was playing with my laptop computer and accidentally set the supervisor password. Is it possible that I can recover the password or reset it? I really need to change my boot sequence as I just bought a new SSD and need to format my laptop. Suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Here's my version of bios and details of laptop

    Toshiba satellite Pro C660-29W

    CPU Intel Core i5 2410 M

    8 GB Ram DDR3

BIOS: BIOS FRIEND - installation utility Aptio
    BIOS system ver: 1.50
    THIS Version: 1.50

    Thank you

Supervisor password is very important safety device and a kind of reset of the user is not possible. You can cancel it, but you must know the correct password to confirm that you are the real owner computer laptop.

Toshiba provider in your country can help you with this. You just approve that you are owner of the laptop, and they can cancel it for you. Of course, you must pay for it.

As far as I know, there are several techniques for the removal of password and it depends on phone model.

Contact the closest Toshiba ASP and ask for help.

  • How can I remove the old mail account passwords?

My work e-mail account requires that I change the password every 90 days. I had to do this last Friday. I also changed the password of e-mail. Now I keep getting locked on the account due to the fact that Mail continues to try to connect with the old password instead of a new. Where the previous passwords are stored, and how can I remove them?

Passwords are saved in the Keychain application located in your Utilities folder. You can search for passwords here. Normally when you change the password of an account, it needs to update this info in the keychain also unless you change other information like the name of the server.

Quit Mail, find the passwords for the incoming server and outgoing for the account. Remove them in Keychain Access. Open Mail and provide the password when asked.

  • Tecra A11 - 1EG - cannot be accessed after the supervisor setting BIOS password

Hello, I would like to know if anyone can help?

We have started to put a supervisor on our laptop Tecra A11 password so that our students can not set passwords on the hard drive, etc.

To enter the BIOS and set a BIOS password, press us F2 that the machine starts.
Then we go to the security option, then supervisor password.
After entering the password we use twice, press us F10 to save etc.

The machine starts ok and will windows smoothly.

The problem we have now, is that we cannot go back into the bios at all.
As machine starts support us on the "F2" key as before, but unlike previously the screen remains white and the "Toshiba leading Innovation > ' screen no longer appears."

If we keep our finger on the F' key or continue pressing the laptop restarts just without ever get to the BIOS screen where I guess that get us ask the supervisor password that we set earlier?

Is there another key, that we should be pressing that start the laptop?

I would add that we have added a password of supervisor for the screen of security BIOS on three of our laptops and all three have the same problem.

    Thank you

    Steve

I think this should be useful for you:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB0B032D0000R01.htm

In some cases, you need to press the "INS" in Toshiba logo appears.

Then appears a prompt for the password for the supervisor and if the password is certified then the BIOS could be entered by pressing the "F2" key

  • Re: Remove the Tecra A8 BIOS password

    Greetings,

It was purchased recently two used computers laptop Toshiba Tecra A8 with serial numbers Y6091612H and Y6091296H. Both were protected by (there not the possibility to go in the BIOS). On the Internet, I found the information he can reset the password by using the response code.

Is it possible to get the response code?

This code can obtain only authorized service provider. You as a person private will not be able to do it somehow.
Contact the nearest Toshiba service provider in your country and explain the situation. They can help you and remove the BIOS password.

  • Satellite L300-1bw - Question on the removal of the HARD drive password

Hi, I own a L300-1bw, is seriously damaged (I'm going to scrap it) I had a HARD drive password to set.

Now, a friend has a C660 - 26G, which I hope to use to remove the password (which obviously I know).

Now, I plan to install in the C660 and go into the Bios to remove my HDD password, I will then put it it an external USB caddy.

Does anyone know if this is likely to work.

    * Just to make it clear, it's my hard drive and I know that the password.*

    Hello

I read in this thread that someone tried to remove the HARD drive password using a laptop from another manufacturer, and it did not work. But he managed to remove the HARD drive password using a Toshiba laptop.

Usually, the HARD drive password is stored and encrypted on the HARD drive therefore, theoretically, that it should be possible to delete a password KNOWN to the HARD drive using the C660.

So I would simply test it

  • How to remove the user account with password, start menu

I got this laptop from my dads boss and there are two accounts of users per password and I don't know what they are, is it possible to remove them? because I can not get on the phone to use with these passwords there.

At this point your best approach would be to reinstall Windows on this machine.  When you start the machine, search for a key, press the first splash screen OEM that could be labelled 'System Recovery' and [quickly] press this button.

If you do not have what you need to reinstall windows, contact the manufacturer for a set of installation floppies or try some of the suggestions contained in the articles referred to in the following article (which is on the news only that we're allowed to talk in this Microsoft forum taken supported)

  • remove the administrator name and password

cannot update or download programs. pop up States 'type admin name'... but the area type in 'GRAYED OUT' help!

If you had only an administrative user account and it is him that you damaged, all is not lost. You want to allow the built-in Administrator and create a new administrative user by general recommendations for the establishment of user accounts in Vista that I will give you at the end of this post.

All this requires a certain level of computer skills. You know better and that take the machine to a competent local computer tech (not a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad place) is the best solution for you.

If you have an installation of Vista DVD (not a recovery DVDs), you can start the system with it. Select the default language, then select "repair your computer". Then select "Command Prompt". At the command prompt, type:

NET user administrator / Active: Yes [press Enter]

[Note: do not enter the brackets!]

Remove the installation DVD and restart the computer. Now, you will be able to log on to the built-in Administrator account.

If you do not have a Vista installation DVD (only have a recovery disk), the computer mftr. may have given you the option to repair Vista (not a system recovery!) system in the diagnostic menu. This menu of diagnosis is the same one where you can choose Safe Mode. Get to this menu by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts. If you do not have this option, you can make a bootable Vista file repair DVD in this link:

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

Note: All the Neosmart recovery disk downloads are torrent files. There is a good explanation of the torrent on the site Web of Neosmart files. You will need a torrent as muTorrent client to get the files. Torrent client will download the .iso file with which to create the bootable DVD. You will need to use third-party burning software such as Nero, Roxio or the free ImgBurn (http://www.imgburn.com ) to burn the image .iso image file, not in the form of data.

Once you have fixed things, log on to the additional administrative account you will be made by the suggestions below and disable the administrator account integrated yet for security reasons:

Start Orb > Search box > type: cmd
When cmd appears in the above results, right-click and choose "Run as Administrator" [OK]. Now, you will get the command prompt. At the command prompt, type:

NET user administrator / active: No. [Enter]

    Exit the command prompt.

General recommendations for creating users in Vista:

You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all the other modern operating systems, Vista is a multi-user system with integrated system of accounts as default Administrator and comments. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

In particular, you do not want one account user with administrative privileges on Vista because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult.  It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but there may be more that you want to do. Better not to put you in a bad situation at first.

The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. As a user Standard is recommended for security reasons and will help protect your computer against infections. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this:

Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null). MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • My password works for me to log into my account, but when I go to user accts to remove it, it says incorrect password?

Its the only account on the computer, an admin, and I want to remove the password to connect because there is no one else in the House to worry. However, when I go to the user accounts / remove password and type the EXACT SAME password I use to connect, it says incorrect password. How can I fix? I am 100% sure that I am using the same password because it allows me to log into the account when I first turn on your computer

A machine running with one admin account is extremely risky. If you're going to come because it is there is a good chance that you yourself locked out. Take a look at this post, created a few minutes before yours. This guy can no longer connect! You now need to create, test and document a spare, even admin account that you have a spare House key. • Remove or disable the protection password for the user account

I have two accounts on my computer to my name. One is an administrator account. The other is a local account. I use the local one for all my general purpose computer. The administrator of one I use only to make changes. I created a password for what I believed to be the administrator account. Actually, I created a password for my local account. Now, I have to sign before I can use the computer. I can't find a way to remove or disable the password without deleting my local account. If I delete the account I'll lose everything in the account. We know how if it is possible to delete or disable a password protected account password?

    Hello

Control Panel - Power Options - "require a password on wakeup" - value "need not."
    -Save the changes.

Desktop computer (Windows key + D) - right click on an empty area - customize - lower right Screen Saver.
Uncheck the box - the resume, login screen - APPLY - OK.
