power shot g16

I plan to spend my G10 to the last G16.  Is there enough difference to justify the expense?

The PowerShot G16 has a processor much faster than the G10, much more a brighter lens. The buffer allows quite a few consecutive shots before filling the buffer. As the sensor is newer and brighter lens, the G16 is also much better in the dark than the G10. The G16 does not have an articulated LCD screen, or it has a touchscreen.

As for your question, if you want a camera more fast that performs better in the half-light, I would say that the G16 is worth the upgrade. I have the G12, and I stay with it for now. The price for the G16 is pretty good right now, since the camera for a few years now and is a little lower than the new series G X with their 1 "sensors, so that alone is a strong selling point.

There is a locking switch slide on the battery to be slid sideways as you also push the battery door.  Please make sure you do both at the same time, otherwise the battery door remains locked.

  • How can I get the name of owners on a Power Shot S5 IS camera?

    Hello

I recently bought a Power Shot S5 IS camera. I would like to know how to enter my name into the camera while it lists my name EXIF information as the 'owner '. At present, this information is empty.

Any help that can be provided will be appreciated. Thank you.

    See you soon

    Don.

Connect your camera via the USB port, start it and run "Camera Window.

In the upper right corner, there is an icon that looks like a gear (just to the left of the "?" icon in the extreme upper right corner).  Until it clicks.  This opens the preferences window.

There are three icons at the top of the Preferences window.  The third icon is labeled "Camera".  Click the icon of camer.

There are two tabs on this screen.  They are labelled 'Information' and 'Set '.  Click on the tab labeled "Set".

The box on the top of this page is for the "owner name".  There is a button "Edit" to the right.  By clicking on the button "Edit" makes the editable field.

    Type your name.

Press the 'Set' button (last button says "Edit") to save your changes.

There is also a box for 'Author' and 'Copyright Info': you can define messages in these areas so that will belong to the image of the EXIF data.

Press the 'Ok' (lower right) button to save and close the window.

Back on the main window of the utility "CameraWindow" a banner in the upper part lists the model of camera, the firmware version and the name of owners.  You should see your name listed in there.

Im not sure what you mean, but if you mean when you zoom in on a photo in playback mode, it is a way to save the area zoomed separately from the original photo on the camera.

To start the Cup select in the playback menu.

The Zoom lever allows you to resize the image and you can press the dots on the adjustment wheel to move the frame also.

You can also press the Disp to change orientation.

When you are finished, press Set and it will ask you to save a new Image, click Ok.

Press Menu and when your promtped to the new display picture select Yes or no.

  • I have a power shot sx HS 40 & need information about the use of filters with this camera? Thank you ~.

I have a power shot sx 40 & would like information on the use of filters with this device?

    Thank you ~.

    Hi Rainlily,

You will need the # model Canon adapter filter f-DC67A to use filters on this camera, which costs about $25.00. Bower makes one for about $9.00 available in B & H and Bower products work well with the Canon. This adapter uses 67 mm filters. If you have not yet all filters, I would recommend Hoya or Tiffen filters as they are of high quality at reasonable prices. Do not get the expensive filters because in general they can cause color casts that may be difficult to view the process on. Have fun!

  • Cannot install the camera Canon Power Shot A85 on Windows 8

I used Canon camera digital solution disk, ver.17.2 to install my Canon Power Shot A85 on my computer Windows 8. The camera doesn't

    install, just ZoomBrowser EX4.6.

    Hi Gordon,.

It would be great if you can provide more information about the issue.

    (1) what exactly happens when you install the camera Canon Power Shot A85 on Windows 8?

    (2) you get an error message? If Yes, what is the exact error message?

    (3) you have any previous/old drivers of the device and the associated software installed on the computer?

    (4) did you try to install the latest drivers and software on the Canon site?

The Canon Web site shows that there is no Windows 8 driver for this camera model. The driver may be either included in the operating system, or you may not need to pilot. You can click on the given link and check details:

    http://www.USA.Canon.com/Cusa/support/consumer/digital_cameras/powershot_a_series/powershot_a85#DriversAndSoftware

Note: Select the operating system and check the latest drivers available.

But because the device does not work with the drivers built into Windows 8, it would be preferable to contact Canon Technical Support for assistance.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Cannot open RAW from Canon Power Shot G7X Marc 11 images to PES 13

I'm not able to open RAW images taken with my Canon Power Shot G7 X 11 brand to 13 items in Photoshop.

Whenever I get the message - Photoshop Elements cannot open this file.  If you try to open a file from a digital camera raw, make sure that you have the latest Camera Raw installed update...

So I passed and got the last update, and I always get the same result, not be able to open in PSE 13 RAW image.

I checked the relevant version required for brand Canon Power Shot G7 X 11 and it says version 9.6.1 was necessary.

I checked the "Photoshop keep updated" and read through the material and tried to download the "install plug-in camera Raw" nothing happened.  I downloaded the 'Camera Raw 9.6.1' and got a 'set up' folder of zip files that finally extracted from 'Set up' and 'charges + adobepatch installer.exe. "

What should I do from here?

The last camera raw update for PSE13 was 9.1. Your choice is:

    1. Upgrade PES
    2. Convert CR2 Adobe raw (DNG) using the free Adobe's DNG Converter
    3. Use the Canon DPP from the disk of the software with your camera

PSE15 must be vacated before the end of September, then you might want to wait before upgrading. In the meantime, you can download PSE14 and use it on a free trial basis.

  • How to save a custom power shot 50 mode setting?

Need to make adjustments to the initial setting at the C1 set... do not remember how I put them in the first place, and the manual does not help!

Thanks for the information!  Now that we know the camera model, we can give you the right steps.  Here's how you can save the custom settings for the C1 and C2 positions compose:

1 still do not go in C1 or C2.  Instead, turn the mode dial to P, Tv, Av or M shooting modes.

    2. set the exposure settings exactly how you want.

    3. press the MENU key.  In the camera menu (noted by an icon of a camera), scroll down to the option marked "Save Settings."... "and click on the FUNC/SET button.

4 choose whether you want these settings saved for C1 or C2.  Highlight your choice and press FUNC/SET to confirm.

And that's all!  Now, you are free to change your dial mode for C1 or C2, and your custom settings will be there waiting for you every time.

This information is detailed at page 156 of your instruction manual.

    We hope this helps!
