  • OfficeJet 6700: Officejet 6700 locked out of Control Panel

I just bought this printer for my office a week ago, and has put in place for the wireless network, everything worked very well.  Over the weekend, it seems he dropped the Wi - Fi connection and when I went to restore it, I am locked out most of the settings and said that the administrator (me) locked their (no) when it was put in place.

I plugged in an ethernet cable and I am still not able to enter the web page of the printer to access these settings.  On ethernet, I cannot ping the device from any other computer on the network.  How can I obtain this lock out of here? I'm almost ready to return this thing, it's ridiculous.

  • Windows 7 has become my comments login and I'm locked out of admin

    Hello

I've been running W7 Pro 64 bit very happy for two months. When I installed, I made a user account for me with admin privileges (I'm the only user on this machine). All of a sudden yesterday I noticed that I could not do some things and on investigation found that W7 has become my admin account a guest one. Same account name, icon, the user files, but no right! I did nothing to cause it, as far as I know, it just happened. I don't think it's a virus, Kaspersky certainly is not report anything.

I tried to boot from the DVD and by defining the built in Administrator account, but that the command window told me that the command executed successfully, when I restart I see no administrator account. Because I'm the only user I had previously defined netplwiz to connect automatically and I can't disarm that - I just get a window saying 'entry password administrator to run netplwiz' but there is no password box, probably because that there is no administrator account on the system.

I seem to be completely locked out from changes to the admin of my system. First thing I will do when I get the machine working again, is to create an alternative admin account to use if it never happens again, but for now, I'm completely stuffed.

    Can someone help, please?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

    TP

UPDATE: I booted in safe mode with command prompt and run lusrmgr.msc to view accounts. Administrator account is here, just can't see on login screens. I thought that the administrator password should be blank (or perhaps the same one that I put in place with my initial admin-level account), so I tried shift-right-click netplwiz and selecting run as another user, and then typing in Administrator and white as well as a selection of passwords possible. No joy. It does not accept any combination of names of users and passwords.

So, how to use the administrator account?

    Aaaaaargh!

I have fixed my problem on Windows 7 guest user.  The problem is after I added the computer successfully in my area, I decided to change the name of the computer. So I changed the name and the past of the domain to the working group. After rebooting I connected under the no original domain account, I created, but it was no longer a member of the administrator group and has been labeled as guest user account type.  I had not enabled the administrator account.

The solution: press F8 at startup for Advanced Startup Options.  Select the option 'Safe Mode with command prompt'.  I was given the opportunity to log on as an administrator, and I did.

I entered my orders, first to change the admin password then command to activate the administrator account:

"password net user administrator"-password the password to use.  (Password must meet complexity requirements)

"net user administrator / Active: Yes.

Computer restarted and I is presented with the option to connect as administrator.  Connected and managed to create a new account and add to the domain.

  • My site locked out

36 hours now, I've been locked out of my site. This follow-up to download a lot of files (using DW CS4 Mac) at the end of which there was an error message saying that the connection to the server has been lost (I think that's it). Subsequently, I was unable to connect to the server by ftp or even visit his website using multiple browsers on my Mac OS 10.5.5 or Windows XP. I contacted the ISP and they said there is a block on my IP and removed. I also reset my router to give me a different address. The problem remains. Another computer on the network (with the same IP address) is able to access the site. My current address is not blacklisted.

The problem seems to (at least) now is not to be at the server end. I tried with a Mac and Windows Firewall disabled, but that makes no difference. When I try an ftp of Dreamweaver connection the dialogue comes fast ("year FTP error occurred - cannot connect to host') that I doubt if the server took the time to answer. Other sites that I manage with Dreamweaver (using different hosts) are not affected.

    Any thoughts?

You are using a firewall on the computer that cannot connect?
