  I picked up a Trojan horse detected by Malwarebytes (Trojan.fakeMS), but this malware program can't remove. Whenever I run the program it identifies Trojan horse and when I select removal, said Malwarebytes successfully deleted and restart to finish the uninstallation. However, after each reboot the Trojan horse is still there. I tried manually remove but can not because of that I tried several times to reset the permissions. Any ideas what this is and how to remove it? The path is c:\Windows\Temp\mrt6D81.tmp\stdrt.exe

  Hello terbow181, try the following steps after reinstalling firefox:

  1. Reset firefox (this will keep your bookmarks and passwords)
  2. then go to firefox > addons > extensions and where there are still extensions listed there, disable them.
