I trashed my mimetypes.rdf file to restore stocks of download, and now Firefox will not open because profile missing, please notify

Until very recently, when I want to download a pdf file, it will open automatically, and recently, for some reason, it stopped automatically opening and just downloaded on my desktop where I wanted. I found the instructions on Mozilla if files uploaded but not display, displaying my profile and then folder to delete. I've trashed (different from delete?) and now if I try to open Firefox, I get the message that Firefox cannot open/load because the profile is missing. Please tell us how can I get the profile folder in.

Thank you

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile in the new profile, but make sure not to copy corrupted files.

How can I recover the files and programs before a system restore?  my document folders are all empty and my programs will not open!

I know they are there and hidden somewhere, but this restoration took my settings of the computer to 2004! We lost all our data, our software that we use to operate our company at home, our quickbooks that has all our financial data, family photos, videos, Outlook will work not so no e-mail, all turned in time and 6 years ' worth of documents have disappeared.

What happeneded was that I was trying to upgrade to quickbooks software when I got an error, I cancelled out of the facility, then restarted and that's when I got an error hal.dll something? I thought about a system restore would allow me to go back in time to just before when the error occurred, but he basically took my computer back to factory settings, so all the programs that I installed and paid hundreds of dollars for the past six years has disappeared, Microsoft Office and very expensive construction estimating software that we wil have to pay once AGAIN for If I can't get this program working properly.

    I am a fool! I can't believe what's happening.

Someone at - it instructions on how I can retrieve either the programs and data that I need specifically or how to go and seek shade from the files I read online on and restore my computer for about 12 hours ago?

    Thank you all!

Looks like you did a system rather than a system restore recovery.  If you have inserted a disc supplied with your machine and booted from it, you probably erased the disc and installed the original operating system provided with your computer.  Usually, a step in this recovery is to do a full format or quick of your drive.  If you did a full format, your data is permanently lost.  With a quick format, your data may still be there, somewhere but inaccessible by normal means.  Applications must generally be installed, in order to recover the files probably will not help unless you have the original installation media.  Your other data files (images, videos, financial data) may be salvageable, but at this point, it would be advisable to take your computer or your disk to a business/professional who is experienced with data disc recovery.  It will be cheap and there is no guarantee.

Impatient, remember investigate you a backup strategy for your computer and critical data.  Hard drives can go wrong with little or no warning.

I have re-uploaded my Photoshop recently and Adobe Bridge no longer displays my Nikon NEF files and Camera Raw will not open them.  I get a message saying that Camera Raw does not support my type of camera, but it has always in the past.

When you re-installed Photoshop, you also re-installed the version of Camera Raw comes with Photoshop - in other words came back you to an old version of Camera Raw, which does not support the D5100.

Camera Raw plugin | Supported devices

The D5100 has first supported in Camera Raw version 6.4.

In Photoshop, click Help > updates to update Camera Raw.

I was sent a "wav" file, but it does not open because it says that there is no program associated with the file.

.wav files will open with Windows Media Player. If there is an attachment in the e-mail message, follow these steps. If it is already on your hard drive, just skip step 1.

    Create a file association.

    1. download and save the attachment to the office.
    2. right click on the saved file.
    3. Select: Open with on the shortcut menu.
    4. click on: choose [default] program.
    5. Select: Windows Media Player.
    6. check: always use the selected program to open this type of file.
    7. click on OK.

This should allow you to open these attachments directly from email address now.

  • Update will not work because of missing files or procedure entry point NSS_InitializePRErrorTable could not be located in nssutil3.dll

After update mozcpp19.dll and mozcrt19.dll files are not in the Firefox directory, and start conversation said that he needs them.
If I put them in the boot of the not required files but gives an error
Procedure entry point NSS_InitializePRErrorTable could not be located in nssutil3.dll

I've just updated to Firefox 10.0.2 and exhibit the same problem of missing dll (Mozcrt19.dll and sqlite3.dll)

I'm also using ZoneAlarm (but not a version with the virtualization of the browser) and find a comment about ZoneAlarm, I decided to stop ZA and try again Firefox: it starts without a problem.

So my quick fix (very) is to stop ZA, launch Firefox and restart ZA....

  • With recent updates, restoring with restore points is more and now IE does not work properly.

I just had a few security updates for my machine and now there is no restore points, restore reports again that restore points are invalid, try another date of restoration (I'm guessing on this one).  Internet Explore ceased operation (for denial of service in IE error messages).  Norton finds nothing.  Any suggestions?  P.S. I don't browse the internet, check e-mail, or any other activity on this machine and only play an internet game on it.  Any suggestions or helpful hints before moving a complete system recovery disc?

You used the word "n" and system restore in the same paragraph.  It's a good sign for boredom.

Here are a few known issues in SR and Norton, you can read and see if they will work for you.  It is possible that your SR will never work unless you reinstall the system restore (not XP - just the system restore part) which would mean you would lose all your old PHI from scratch with new RPs.

I can't help you with your IE, but if you provide the following information, maybe someone else can.

SR already worked successfully for you in the past?

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

What is your version of Internet Explorer?

You have a different browser like Firefox or Chrome that operate and is only IE afflicted?

See if IE will work if you click on start, programs, accessories, System Tools, Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).

What is the exact error that you see when you try to use IE?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, MSE, Comodo, etc..
What is the issue that you are experiencing that you think that the system restore will be remedied (or you are just convenient)?  System Restore is not a time machine.
Some tools Anti Virus 'protect' your system so that they will not allow a restore of the system work properly.
For example, if you use Norton/Symantec products, you will see a message like this:
Restoration incomplete. Your computer cannot be restored...
It is also a popular Symantec problem (well, I'll be polite and call an "undocumented feature"...), they wrote an article about it:
According to what you use for malware protection, you may need to disable the product temporarily, do the system restore and then turn the products light up again when the system restore is complete.
Sometimes you need start your system in Mode safe and so that your protection programs are not running, and then do the system restore.  Tips from Microsoft in some of their articles that if the system restore does not restore your computer, start in Safe Mode, and then run the system restore.  It works for some configurations.
System Restore is sometimes so afflicted or Restore Points are suspicious, the best solution is to reinstall your system restore.  This will remove the old Restore Points, but sometimes it's the only way to fix a broken system restore.  You don't have to reinstall XP, only the part of system restore.
That can leave you with your problem of unspecified origin that you hope the system restore will fix (using a system restore is usually not equivalent to fixing the problem though).
Give these ideas some consideration if they apply to you.

I would like to deal with the problem as if there was no such thing as the system restore, fix your other questions, stabilizes, then get your SR works after that.  Certainly, it should work well, but I wouldn't count on it as a way to solve problems.

  • Why the html file that I downloaded from the internet will not open in Dreamweaver?

I tested other pages to index and their linked pages and they opened in Dreamweaver.  I applied the same steps to this file, but it still not open.  All of this linked pages / index associated is open in Dreamweaver, but not the index page itself.  When I double click on the index.html file, it opens in the browser and the links work.  If the file is damaged in any way can it be repaired?  I checked the index.css file, but I see nothing wrong with it yet.  Can the html or css file contain code that prevents the files open in Dreamweaver, and yet still be opened in a browser?

Of course, you have all the support files.

  • How can I fix this error? The bookmarks and history system will not functional because one of the files of Firefox is used by another application.

I tried many solutions being posted in the support forum. I went and deleted my places.sqlite file so that it has created a new profile. I tried to restore my favorites, and nothing happened.
I went and found out that I had a places.sqlite.corrupt file. As suggested by one of links provided in other articles, I removed the other places.sqlite files and then renamed just corrupt as places.sqlite. I restarted firefox and still nothing.

Please do not just copy and paste the links to two articles that helped me not yet. I need to know how to solve this problem, because I had a lot of important information in my favorites!

You should not copy places.sqlite, if you had problems with the history or bookmarks.

You need to restore from a backup bookmarks JSON in the bookmarkbackups folder has all of your bookmarks.
