Firefox 7, apparently, will not allow my BitDefender run. I don't see why I have to choose one or the other. Is my only option to empty the Firefox and return to the Microsoft browser?
Only the toolbar is not compatible with Firefox because BitDefender probably did not updated the toolbar. You can post on BitDefender forum for confirmation on the toolbar, when it will be updated, etc. BitDefender should still work in the background to protect you.
Firefox has a feature similar to the main function of most security application toolbars to you away from phishing and malware sites. I do not use the toolbar that comes with my security, but instead of this application depends on the component of safe browsing in Firefox.

I often receive an email that contains more than 10 images (attachments) but when I get this message, I can't as a pop up comes up and tells me that I must remove some of the attachments that would destroy a part of the message. What should I do to correct this?
The images may be too large to send massively as they must be encoded to send by e-mail, and this coding can add as much as 40% of the size of the message. You can resize to fit the web by reducing their dots per inch to 96 (screen resolution) and then saving them as a compressed jpeg files. IrfanView (www.irfanview.com - free) will do this for you.
You can also try Message | To send as an attachment and see if it goes through.

If it is running, but apparently not finding anything, just leave it for a while 'loooooong. It was reported a few recent Wu take many hours to find anything, esp if she has a lot of updates to find and install.

Simple troubleshooting who went around to other users is to disable the RTP (in your MSE settings) and then turn it back on.
If no luck, you can try a clean boot or startup programs excess disabling to see if it's maybe a resourse problem affecting the WMI repository (slowness or loss communication between MSE and the warning centre).
If the problem is due to a broken WMI repository, please check on this thread where you will learn a few procedures to correct the WMI repository which causes the Windows Security Center to report than any antivirus, antispyware or firewall is active, but MSE actively protects your PC and green.Hope this helps - please confirm in return.
