  This image is correct. To enable SFTP in Dreamweaver CS3, select the check box use Secure FTP (SFTP). This disables the other options: use the passive FTP mode, transfer mode using IPv6, Use Firewall, firewall settings and server compatibility.

  There is no field to specify the port number. The default port for SFTP is 22, not 722. 722, if necessary, I don't think that there is a way to do with DW CS3.

  I can't reinstall Dreamweaver CS3 after a migration to a new Mac hardware.  He worked under Yosemite 10.10.5 on old hardware so probably that the migration process is the cause of the problems.

  As I suspected that to happen due to migration was from a machine to another.

  We always advise to install applications from the beginning on a new machine, as in the installation process, it creates a lot of files on different locations on your computer.

  When you migrate from one machine to another machine the chances of broken link are higher due to any folder name has changed, the directory path or permissions.

  I had the same problem this is how I solved it
  Tools > options > saved passwords > locate the corresponding site, you will see that the user name is missing highlight and delete.
  Back to the site log in enter your password and you will then be asked to save it... That's fact

• Using Dreamweaver ftp for the upload of a file to the issue of the host

  My local site is set up with links to the document root.

  The local root folder is defined as J:\xampp\htdocs\rootfilename\

  I did put something in the HTTP address field so that it shows only http://

  Once I set my remote site in Dreamweaver configuration, I have still some concerns about how dreamweaver will address some links in my localhost test environment, I changed some links to the full paths such as:

  http://localhost/rootfilename/filename.php

  So my question is when I do file transfer how dreamweaver treats these comprehensive links, it won't change localhost for the new host name and the name of the root for the name of the Directory directory root automatically for me (of course after I defined them in the configuration of the remote site)?

  And what of my path of file names such as my includes files that I had to do a full path example:

  include_once ("J:/xampp/htdocs/rootfilename/includes/filename.inc.php");

  Dreamweaver will remove d:/xampp stuff and give the correct full path?

  No DW will not update the absolute paths in your code. Absolute paths be exactly how you typed on download.

Please see my example at http://www.quickflash.com/boilersgas.html. If you click on one of the photos, it will take you to another site. I want to make it easy for them to return to our original site instead of hit the arrow to the left.

• Have Windows XP... Asking me to update Flash Player for videos but there is no option of XP

  All of a sudden without vids will play... I watch that version is not safe and I need to update... All update options for Windows 7, 8 and others, but no option for Flash for the XP system... Seems "allowing", I can get around...

  Two updated versions are currently:

  • 13.0.0.296

  If you cannot install 18.x, then you would need to use the Adobe uninstaller program to remove 17.x. otherwise, Setup for 13.x will always tell you the superior version already.

  I worked with Dreamweaver CS3 for several years.  I recently updated from a computer running Windows Vista on a computer running Windows 10.  I don't want to buy the latest version of Dreamweaver, because it's so different from what I am used to that I have to learn from scratch... Is it possible to use Dreamweaver CS3 with Windows 10?  Are there other options?

  I just dreamweaver cs6 and I have problems with the management of the site.

  So far, I used dreamweaver cs3 and when you set up a new site, the site definition had the local Info category and separate remote info.

  Now on CS6 I can't set up individually to the same site, it does not give the option, it's one or the other which he does not work for me if I want to test a page locally, through preview on the browser, otherwise it will download to the server if I choose FTP. If I choose only local then I lose all ftp settings and once I did the test it will not upload to the server.

  Certainly there must be a work around this or something Im doing wrong, but I do not understand what it is

  There is no need to uncheck remote and testing. Previewing locally should work exactly as it did in CS3.

  You use a language on the server side? If so, expand the files Panel by clicking this icon:

• Dreamweaver CS3 won't open - tried all of the solutions posted

  After using Dreamweaver CS3 on my desktop PC Windows 7 (64 bit) (HP Pavilion P6320Y) for well over a year with no problems, it suddenly won't open.    All other CS3 applications continue to open very well. I tried some of the other solutions out there, I've seen on the net 1) looking for files that could meet the criteria of 8192 KB of bug, 2) reset back to XP, compatibility mode 3) I reinstalled the program, 4) I ended the process in Manager tasks, 5) I looked for configuration *.dat files to remove a person mentioned and found all those who have been appointed as he suggested. I'm puzzled. Someone at - it ideas?

  It worked the first time for me, but I tried all the other suggestions in this thread first, so I'm not sure if it was a combination, or just the action of the sfc/scannow .

  I'm currently building a website using Actinic v9 CMS and Dreamweaver CS3 for a project. I posted the same topic on Actinic forums.

  Actinic has a built-in connection system and it uses a Microsoft Access database (I think that the version 2000). What I'm trying to do in Dreamweaver CS3, is to create a secure registration function. Basically how it works is as follows:

  A php script runs and passes on the information on the form to be temporarily stored in a MySQL database. A javascript written a password generated randomly to be read by php - php send an email with the attached code and user name - also temporarily stored in MySQL.

  When the user enters a hyperlink in the email, they will fill in their user name and the password - password is then recovered by an another php for the MySQL database by finding the correct username. A Javascript will see if both match and answer 'true' or 'false' for the php script. If this is true, php will retrieve all user data from the MySQL server and put it in Microsoft Access database of Actinic. If it's false, php will write the code is incorrect and ask the user to retype the fields. After five attempts, php will wipe away the registration of the user of the MySQL database and will have to re-register.

  What I need to know, it's can handle MS Access databases and how Dreamweaver CS3 can help me with this? I have already learned how to manage MySQL in php, it's that I never used Access to the web databases before. Until I started with Actinic, I don't think you could.

  in dreamweaver, click WINDOWS in the top menu and select the DATABASES

  After a click on the + symbol and select custom connection string.

  You must export the data from "ms access" as .mdb, then import it from dreamweaver.
