I want to add text to my images in LR; I don't want to print them.

How can I add text to my images in LR?  I've used this feature in Picasa a lot, and I wish I could do the same thing with LR.

As far as I know, the only ways to add text are for export (with the help of watermark and/or the Mogrify plug-in), or when you print to a file

There is no function in Lightroom to add text in the develop Module

You set the font size to a size that is suitable for the size of the document.   Size of the document may vary everywhere.   To resolve this problem in action, I solved in scaling the document to a known size then use a font suitable for a document of this size.  When you resize an image using size with resample Images not only checked a single pixel is change everything that is changed is the DPI image resolution setting.  So if you size a picture 8 "wide you choose a font size is good for wide image 8" the Save action.  To work around the problem of changing the size of the printing I wrote a Script to use in such an action.  The script is used twice, there is a backup and restore script.   The first time that the script is used the script records the resolution DPI images in the metadata documents.  The second time that the script is executed, it retrieves the registered PID parameter deletes the record of metadata from images and set the DPI images that had been saved.    If the use of fonts for the document 8 "will be resized to fit the print original size.

In a script, you can calculate a correct font size to use.  Actions cannot retrieve information or use logic. They need to use the Plug-ing and Script where logic is needed.  When you make using Photoshop UI you use your eyes and brain.

  • Cannot add text to additional images on the second page of brochure

    Greetings,

I want to explain it, so there are many understand the problem that I have in InDesign CC.  I created a tabloid size for a company brochure.  The outside cover works perfectly, I can add multiple blocks of text and add text to all created frames.

Now when I go inside the cover of this brochure, I can add text for the first block of text that was created without any problem.  When I create subsequent text frames, I can't have a fast blinking cursor inside one of the frames.  The slider appears across the page in the upper left corner of the booklet, instead of the image.  This happens for all the images I create after the first picture on this page.  I select the text layer and the image appropriate, then I go to the text tool and try to place the cursor inside the frame, and the text tool will not active there.  All text created will begin appearing in the upper left corner of the booklet where is the blinking cursor!  If I delete the first block of text on the inside cover, and then create all new text frames; I can't add text to one of the new executives either.  It almost as if text is limited to that very first image I created.

    Thank you

    Carl

    Good,

I found a work around.  Honestly, I want that the Type tool to convert frames for text blocks.  This occurs on the outside cover, and not on the inside cover.  So what I've discovered, it was that the executives who were not automatically convert to text blocks, I could manually convert them by accessing the object > content > text.

I have yet to understand why the Type tool will do it on a single page and not the other, but at least I can end this now!

    Thank you

    Carl

  • How to add text on an image that is inserted into a table in Dreamweaver

I am relatively new to dreamworks and I saw the easiest way so far is the use of tables to make your layouts, I wonder if there is a way where you can insert text on (in front of) an image that fits into a table?

Easy and best are not synonymous.  The best way to create modern web pages is no tables with CSS layouts.   If someone told you of tables are better, they are ill-informed, out-of-touch and/or you are looking at a tutorial very old.

Getting back to your original question, put your image in the background with the CSS code.

    CSS background-image property

If you are not familiar with HTML and CSS code, you will need to do some homework first.  He had to learn to get the most out of Dreamweaver.

Suggest that you reset tool. To do this in older versions of the aspect program for a small triangle in the upper left, on the tool options bar. Click and reset.

In later versions of the program, look for a box with lines in it, on the bottom right, on the tool options bar. Click and reset.

Note that with your image open, when you activate the text tool, the text will come in on a separate layer. According to the resolution of the file, you may need to increase the size of the TA for a value exceeding the default values in the menu drop-down... Highlight the value on the screen and type in 110 or 140.

  • PSE7 Newbie - want to add text at the bottom of the photo.

I know that it's really a fundamental question, but all I want to do initially is add text at the bottom of a photo and I want to use layers.

    1. I don't even know if it's the right sequence, but first of all, I get the picture (from file-> open in the editor).

    2. then, I create a text layer, but the layer is created the same size as the photo.

I don't want the text on the photo, I want the text somewhere under the photo.  I discovered that I can move the Photo up and put the text below, but I lose the top 1/2 inch or more of the picture.

Lets say I have a picture that prints 4 x 6 as a photo.  This money which, according to me, that I need is an editor window with the photo at the top with an empty space, 1/2 inch or so, photography, a place that I can put a text.  I realize that when I print a photo 4 x 6, the photo itself is only 3 1/2 x 6, but I don't think that ius here everything what I can do about it.  The point is that I want / need the photo to print with no cropping (Group hphoto with heads next and above).  Am I even explain it properly.

I got something of almost works using resize the canvas, but ran into problems when you try to change the color of the cloth - and I don't want to get into this problem now (unless I have to).  It seems to me that I should be able to do it with just a couple of layers, the layer of text photo and t - I just do not find haoe to resize the layers to accomplish what I want to do.

So I explained it clearly enough.  I can do with just a couple of layers.  Is it as simple as I think it should be.

Do you mean that you do not find guided edit, the player of the shares or is not for that action in the action player?

The addition of canvas adds to the whole image.

You don't want to resize, just to enlarge the canvas itself. Set your background color to what you want the new canvas, then go to Image > resize > canvas size. Click on the top square of the Center to the point of reference and change only the length, the width of no, the canvas.

  • Adding text to an image in Lightroom 6

Is it possible to add text on an image in lightroom? I see that you can do in a slide show. If this is the only way, so can you take 1 picture slidshow, and put it in your library with text on it? Old forum q, it seems that you can do in the prints print module?

    Thank you

If the goal is to watermark to your images, you can do when you export.

Watermarks can be created using different looks. They are flexible enough, if your text is still the same. You can even set a picture as a watermark.

  • Add text in Photoshop Elements 14

I add a text layer and can not add text to an image. The file may be a photoshop, JPEG or PNG file? When I try to add text, I see the point in the cursor and there is no text if displayed, after that I typed in.

Pt font size may be too small for the resolution of the image file.

You are not limited to the default size in the drop-down list in the text tool options bar.

Highlight the value on the display and then type in a lot - try 110 or 140 - and see if it shows up. The text should be on a separate layer.

  • How can I add text to a Word document to an existing PDF which is my letterhead?

I have a paper to header company created to a PDF file.  I want to add text of letters to the letterhead, but don't know how.  Help, please.

    Hi tatestar1,

You would need Acrobat to edit the header of your PDF, or add text to any application used to create the header in the first place and then recreate the PDF file. If you have the source file, then the latter may be easier.

    Best,

    Sara
