Adding text to an image in Lightroom 6

Is it possible to add text on an image in lightroom? I see that you can do in a slide show. If this is the only way, so can you take 1 picture slidshow, and put it in your library with text on it? Old forum q, it seems that you can do in the prints print module?

Thank you

If the goal is to watermark to your images, you can do when you export.

Watermarks can be created using different looks. They are flexible enough, if your text is still the same. You can even set a picture as a watermark.

  • Adding text to an image using HP MediaSmart

    Good afternoon

I want to know is there a way to add text to a photo using MediaSmart?  I know that you can, if you create a slide show or video.

    Hello

Looks like it's just a basic photo editing software:

Upgrade to another suite of Photo Editor can help:

  • Deletion of added text

I opened the paint when you view a picture and added text to the image.  Then, I saved the image.  Now, I want to remove the text.  I can't click on the text box to remove the text.  Someone at - he found a way to remove the text in the paint?

This is because once the file is saved the text in the area is part of the image, it is only a layer separated during the editing session.

Painting is a relative simple image editing tool, save the editing as separate not process or don't create undo functions that survive to the record. Once you do this generate you a complete picture and revised to replace the original, unless you use the function Save as and save it under a different file name.

  • How to convert a PDF file that contains an image (picture) with added text typewriter (numbers next to faces) in a JPEG file?

I'm trying to convert a PDF to JPEG.  The PDF file contains a picture JPG (photo of a group of people) which I added text (numbers next to each face) using the Acrobat typewriter function.  When I use Save as and select JPEG saved file does not contain the added text.  I tried to export the file and got the same results.  Is it possible to save the PDF modified with the addition of text to a new JPEG file?

    Hi jackh46691612,

Simply fill out the PDF using the Adobe PDF printer, make sure that you have selected "Document & annotations" in the dialog box to print before printing to the Adobe PDF printer.

  • Adding text to "on mouse" image boxes

Even when I'm scared. After completing the following web page, I thought that it might be preferable to have a line of explanatory text for each image displayed as the menu drop-down is "rolled" on...

    Screen Shot 2012-05-15 at 17.30.23.jpg

Each of the items in the menu on the right shows an alternate image and for the life of me I don't see where to add a simple line or two of text either go under or to the right of the image (if I move the images to the left!)

How can you change a text in an image?

    Hi Jasper,.

It depends on how the text has been staged, and what has been done with the image after that.

A quick test - what happens when you zoom in on, or enlarge the image?

If the text retains its edges when amplified, then it can probably be edited separately from the image. If the text begins to show pixelation on the edges (like the picture), then there is no text to change, what looks like adding text is actually part of the image and can only be changed in the same way that you can change anywhere in the image.

    Here is an example:

The photo is a photo (jpeg format), inserted in a Pages document created with the essay template. White text in the upper left corner of the photo is placed in a text box. To put the photo on this page (and the text on and around it) has been converted to a PNG file. When it is enlarged on this screen, the text finally a pixelated image...

.. .the easily noticed in the thin relates diagonal 'o'.

In Pages, however, the text and the picture are separated, and the text is a vector image - mathematically trained and scalable.

The text here is contained in a text box and the text box was grouped with the photo. To change the text (in Pages), I need to:

    • Click on the text.
Handles will appear in the corners of the selection.
That click you select either the entire image OR just simply the text box.
      • IF the handles are blue x characters, the selection is locked
        Go organize (menu) > Unlock
Sectionals unlocked handles are small white squares.
    • IF the selection includes the entire image
      • Go to the menu, rearrange and choose ungroup
If the choice to separate is not available, the text may be part of the image and uneditable as text.
Try to click twice (separated from the clicks, not double click).
If the insertion point (|) is now in the text, the text is editable as text.
        Change the text.
    • IF the selection looks like a text box and does not the whole image
      • Click on the text to place the insertion point (]) in the text
        Change the text.

Image showing the insertion point in the text in a text box on the image:

When I add text to an image that starts as a RAW file, I have no problem. When I try to add text to an image that is only a jpg file, the size of the text is extremely low. Even when I change the the font size to 72 pt, it is always small. How can I fix it?

You set the font size to a size that is suitable for the size of the document.   Size of the document may vary everywhere.   To resolve this problem in action, I solved in scaling the document to a known size then use a font suitable for a document of this size.  When you resize an image using size with resample Images not only checked a single pixel is change everything that is changed is the DPI image resolution setting.  So if you size a picture 8 "wide you choose a font size is good for wide image 8" the Save action.  To work around the problem of changing the size of the printing I wrote a Script to use in such an action.  The script is used twice, there is a backup and restore script.   The first time that the script is used the script records the resolution DPI images in the metadata documents.  The second time that the script is executed, it retrieves the registered PID parameter deletes the record of metadata from images and set the DPI images that had been saved.    If the use of fonts for the document 8 "will be resized to fit the print original size.

In a script, you can calculate a correct font size to use.  Actions cannot retrieve information or use logic. They need to use the Plug-ing and Script where logic is needed.  When you make using Photoshop UI you use your eyes and brain.

  • Why the font size is so great when adding text to the photo in high resolution?

Why the font size is so great when adding text to the photo in high resolution?

Font size is usually determined by the size in points. 72 points equal to 1 inch. the size is independent of the size of your actual file. You might have a file that is located at 72 dpi, which is set to a 5 X 7 "and the police would be the size even if it is a 1200 dpi image 5 X 7.

  • Adding text to a video

I've been looking and looking to find an explanation of how to add text to a video - and to decide when and how far form the text should appear.

Such an explanation is not there?

Text is added via a title. There are several ways to call this function. Once can in the toolbar and choose title > new title, or title of "showcase", may choose to use and modify a title template.

To have a title, text, or even Images and clipart, above (overlay) a video Clip, just create/modify the title and place it above the desired video Clip.

As pre suppose you want to create and place a title, to the location of the CTI (current time indicator/reading head), I want to move the CTI at the end of the timeline, create and then change the title and click on + drag to the desired location.

The change of the title templates, or creating a title from scratch, is made in the Titler, a called sub-application from front.

    Good luck

  • Unexpected keywords added to the imported images

    Hello

I sought an answer to this and had no success.  I've noticed lately that when I import any image in Lightroom, there are 2 key words that are always added to the image.  I do not use a preset of import.  The keyword "dialog box" in the section "Apply during import" of the import page can be empty (i.e. no key words must be assigned to the attached, or other keywords, I have added to this area, but the same 2 keywords keep added to each import.)  What Miss me?  Thanks in advance!

Looks like you typed in these keywords at a time in a metadata preset in the menu of your import. Go to the import. Click on the arrows to the right of "Metadata" flippy and select 'change '. Scroll to the bottom of the metadata entry boxes and check if the keywords are typed in the box below. If so, remove them. If the words are there that fixes the problem and you can join the many people who have experienced this. FYI, for some reason, the preset metadata keywords will not appear in the keyword box import, only in the library module after importing. Hope this fixes the problem. David
