  To read a specific part of the binary, I suggest to set the file position where you want to read the data and specify how many blocks you must read binary file for reading binary file.VI

  for example, if you write table 2D binary file, and then mention you data type this 2D chart and make your account (5000-500). Then together, you produce position. If you have 32 DBL data type and column then it is 256 to the second row and 256 * 500 for line 501th. Use this number as input into your position.vi file get.

  Hi all!
  I am reading a file and separate it into pieces, each of which is 4 096 bytes. In addition, each piece is numbered from 0 at the end of the file. So, I did this:

          InputStream in = new FileInputStream(file);
          byte[] bytes = new byte[4096];
          int frameID = 0;
  
          while (in.read(bytes, 0, bytes.length) != -1) {
                  frameID++;
                  bytes = new byte[4096];
          }
  
          in.close();

  So, I just browse every 4096 bytes of the file and make the byte [] content. However, I did not come with a better idea, because when I want to read this file again for a specific piece (for example frameID = 15); I have to start everything in a loop from the beginning until I have find the frameId, then use the byte []. It's quite silly, I know.
  
  Basically, I have to read a file, piece by piece, and I should be able to jump directly on a specific segment. I'm not allowed to hold the pieces in a collection, and then use it from there. Because, I need to access your hard drive into required reading when I need a data element. Y at - it an idea how I can do? Thank you!!

I am a new Fuze 2 GB owner and I have a problem that I couldn't solve by reading the user manual or searching for this forum.  I use the "rocket" (mainly) to listen to stories and readings in MP3 format.  I placed about a dozen files on my rocket through Windows Explorer drag / move directly into the 'Audiobooks' folder of the rocket.

  My problem: when a story ends, the following starts immediately.  I don't want the next file to play; I want quiet (given that I listen to it while asleep).

  Is it possible to force the "rocket" to play a file only and then be silent while it drift off in his own 'Sleep' mode (that took me 30 minutes)?

  Furthermore, I have disabled "Ch. Mode".  (I've even left "Shuffle" and "Repeat" in 'Music' just in case it might have something to do with it.)

  Because no one taken here have to answer with another "sorry, don't know," I kept trying to figure this out myself.  I discovered a workaround solution and write here for the benefit of any third party who may want to read a file only.  That's what I did:

  I transferred my files (stories and readings in MP3 format, which I originally put in the audiobooks folder) in music-> songs.  Note that this DIY does not work via the audio books folder!

  Then, I selected a file to be read.  When he started, I activated the button "Push and Hold".

  This operation has copied the individual file to Playlist-> list go.

  When I wanted to play this file (and this single file) all in falling asleep, I sailed to music-songs-> list-> Playlist > go.  I chose this file and it played.  At the end of the file, there was blessed silence.

  Don't forget to put your energy saving or sleep to shut down the "rocket" after x number of minutes.

  You can run a server on your pc like TVERSITY. For my part I use an external media player. Just so you know not to play all the files on all devices. TVersity a bridge well enough however.

  I don't know what version of LabVIEW u using, I have attached the vi in the 8.5 v. My vi sorts the file names by order alphabetical use get info file vi to do sorting like u mentioned

  I would probably use a TDMS file for this because it could also be read in excel if there was enough - just little more flexibility. But you can also do this by using binary types. You don't have to read the entire file when you use binary files. See below.
