The AHCI driver installation failure

I have a BIOS Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3 (1.0). F9G. When I try to load the AHCI driver for Gigabyte, I downloaded, I get a Setup error failed every time. If I set the BIOS to AHCI or not, the driver has still not install. If I leave the BIOS set to AHCI Windows freezes on-screen swirling of the points and I restart and change back the IDE BIOS. If I go to Device Manager, as suggested in another post, there is no entry for the SATA drivers or controllers even though all three of my drives are connected to the SATA ports on the motherboard. So far, there is nothing that I found that will solve this problem so I can properly configure my Samsung 859 Pro SSD. Suggestions?

1, after a BIOS update, a shutdown of the pc is preferred. In addition, generally, BIOS settings

by default, do not have SATA controller or RAID installed, it must be set manually

for this purpose in the BIOS... In addition, any type of HD we use with this pc, is not

drivers pc looking for, its all simply enable the BIOS, everything is 'plug & play '.

or youre a setting (on or off), setting controller drivers is a windows

adjustment, & the BIOS configures the establishment to run for windows...

I think you should change your username or try with another account to update the driver, for example the admin account.

  • HP ZBook 15u G3 (T7W13EA #BED): the driver installation failure

    Hello!

So I received this my new ZBook after updatind to Win10 and several tests.

Should I be concerned or is this normal and should I disable SA HP and continue?

    Best regards.

    Jordan

What you're saying, you did the upgrade of Win10 - I'd be suspicious of drivers installed Ms.

If it were mine, I go to this page for drivers and check each of the drives against what is installed Win10: http://h20566.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=8693772 & swLangOid = 8 & swEnvOid = 4192

And, when the driver was either older or NOT HP, I would setup the HP driver in its place.

Then, I'd go to Win10 and disable the driver update: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/48277-driver-updates-windows-update-enable-disable-windows-10-a.html

In this way, Win10 can not come and force the installation of the wrong drivers.

    Good luck

  • driver installation failure on photosmart 5510

I am trying to install my photosmart 5510 on a new computer, Windows 7 (64 bit) operating system. everytime I try and go through all the steps of downloaded I get an install error - failure of the HP Installation - MSI 1603. Cannot get past. The printer is configured on a wireless network and that works, just can't get the driver to install. I tried to remove the program and he can't delete because it is not installed correctly. It seems very circular. Any ideas?

These install failures can be no fun. Looks like you may have a few things underway.

You indicate that the software cannot be uninstalled. Where are you try uninstalling to?
    * The best place to remove the HP printing software that won't remove is through the control panel > programs > uninstall a program.
    * If the printer software still cannot be removed in this way, you can find a Microsoft Fix It solution. This program will help with software that will not uninstall.

Also, you have found the failure of Installation of HP - MSI 1603. It is indicating that one of the MSI (Microsoft Installation) files fails to run. MSI often fail if the permissions are not correct as well.

There are a few measures that take to this error:
    * Press Windows + R key to the "Run" command
    * Type msiexec.exe to confirm MSI Version 4.5 or higher. Below if the 4.5 Version, stop here and answer to get instructions on how to update MSI.

If MSI Version 4.5 or higher:
    * Press Windows + R key.
    * Type msiexec /Unregister and press ENTER. If it works, there is no message.
    * Press Windows + R key.
    * Type msiexec /regsvr and press ENTER. This will confirm that the MSI is working.

    Remove all remaining files:
    Open the C: drive > Program Files (x 86) > HP folder
    * Delete the folder with the Photosmart series 5510 in the title. It is to ensure that all remaining for the printer software has disappeared.

    * Press Windows + R
    * Type %temp% , and then press ENTER.
    * Delete all files starting with 7z. It's remove for installation failed installation files.

    Now to install in:
    * Make sure you are using the administrator login
    * Download the most current driver for your printer.
    * When you run the downloaded file, make sure you right click and click on run as administrator.

Photosmart HP 5510 is not that old of a printer. I guess that this printer is still under warranty. If these steps do not address the issue then give the HP Technical Support a call at 1-800-474-6836.

  • Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) has no install the AHCI Driver

When I built my current computer system in May 2011, I have not encountered this problem with installing 64-bit Windows 7 Pro on the new 500 GB Western Digital HARD drive.  In fact, I installed Win7 three times (to wipe the drive with DBAN after the first and second installs) before I was satisfied with the third installation.

Before the first installation, I configured the BIOS of card mother Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5 (Maj) SATA AHCI (with SATA 3.0) and copy the driver AHCI of CD Gigabyte on a SanDisk Cruzer USB (4 GB).  The GA-890FXA-UD5 (revision 2.1, version of the F6 BIOS) has an AMD chipset.

During each installation, the Win7 Installer reported that she could not find a HARD drive and offered the option to load a driver.  I used this option, and the installation program displays a dialog box with whom I sailed the Cruzer to select AHCI driver.  Each time, Setup loaded the driver with success smoothly.  Of course, I still have the installation of Microsoft Windows 7 Pro DVD, purchased with a full license of the retail.

Example: two years later, after that I started to meet various problems for which I could find no cause, no resolution, I suspected malware or corruption of the registry.  To make a long story short, eventually I decided to erase the internal HARD drive once again, after you save the data files on an external USB HDD.

Win7 Setup now follows the same routine, of course.  Except that now, it will fail to load the driver AHCI of the SanDisk Cruzer (!).  I've also removed the Win7 installation DVD, loaded the CD Gigabyte, sailed to the driver and selected.  The Win7 Installer is always not load.  In addition, before you run the Win7 Installer for other attempts, I connected the USB HDD external and sailed to a copy archived AHCI driver on it, but Win7 Setup could not load.  I have made many and repeated attempts, with all the storage media at hand, that contains a copy of the driver AHCI files, but not joy.

For what it's worth, I also ran the software on the repair disk I did shortly after installing Win7 Pro, and he couldn't load the driver AHCI of the SanDisk Cruzer with CD Gigabyte, respectively.

Then I reconfigured the BIOS of the motherboard to SATA IDE (with SATA 3.0) and rebooted the system.  You might think that Win7 Setup would have a suitable driver for the AMD SATA IDE, since she has one for the reader to optical disc Samsung DVD-Writer (obviously), but it did not find a HARD drive.  Then I sailed in the appropriate driver AMD x 64 on the CD of Gigabyte IDE files, but Setup cannot load it, too.

Question: why Windows 7 Pro 64-bit Setup does not install the driver AHCI, and what can I do about it?

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

AHCI (Advanced Host controller) makes the NCQ (Native Command Files) with connection to warm or hot swapping through host controllers SATA Serial - ATA possible; Vista was the first to offer this feature. The problem with AHCI is that it must be enabled in BIOS before the installation of the OS. After installing the operating system will disable the PC. The reason why Windows disable the AHCI drivers not not needed during installation.

I suggest you activate the AHCI after installing the operating system if you already enable AHCI in the BIOS, when you installed the operating system.

    8. you will need a final restart to complete the process once the drivers are installed.

Original title: why I have this message?

floppy drive seek failure. I don't have a floppy drive on my cumputer.

    Hello

This problem occurs if the following two conditions are met:

The computer has no floppy drive.
    1. the floppy drive is enabled in the BIOS settings.
    2. for example, this problem may occur if the floppy drive is enabled in the BIOS settings by default.

To resolve this issue, use the system setup program to disable the floppy drive in the computer BIOS. You can contact the manufacturer of your computer to help make these changes.

  • CPU speed incorrect for the 948 driver installation

I have a COUPLE 948 printer that I'm trying to connect wirelessly from a laptop Vista Home Premium (32-bit). Whenever I run through the installation of the driver it tells me that the required minimum processor speed is 800 Mhz and mine is 4294967295 MHz. By my count I have clearly enough Mhz to get but refuses it to proceed further with the installation software.

I know that the reported number is wrong because I have an Inspiron 9400 with a processor clocked at about 1700 Mhz. However if I look at the 'System' Control Panel, he told me that the processor and Ram information is "not available".

Someone at - it suggestions on what I need to do to fix this?

Rick, several attempts to re - install the driver that as well in safe mode and normal all is come up with the same problem - the installer to complain about the speed of the processor. I used the patch to remove completely all previous driver but it had no effect - I could not even go as far as a connection problem!

Dig into the defective processor speed, led me to this post because speed was not reported properly on the system control panel.

    http://forums.pcper.com/showthread.php?p=4332899

and when I entered the command

    net localgroup administrators NetworkService/add

the values of processor and ram have been reported correctly and the printer driver has been happy to let me pass the system check.

I guess that's not a scenario the pilot testers should consider.

    Thanks for your help

  • HARD drive installation failure

    Hello

I just bought a HP nc6230 less hard drive. I bought a hard drive and a connection box 6230 hard drive HP nc. After you have installed the Hitachi 80 GB ATA/IDE drive in the computer bios does not recognize. The player has the usual data for the housing connector pins, but there are two other pins next to the data connector that don't have no apparent. connectors. Should these pins I be connected to the laptop somehow? I am new at this and could use some easy explanation. Thank you.

    Hello

I think that the problem is found. The first hard drive was not working and I replaced it. After replacing the drive, I checked the BIOS and does not find the disk HARD present so I guess the second car did not work either. Doing some research, I discovered the bios on this system does not show the installation of the hard disk or the presence. I returned the disk OS installation and tried. • the Oracle driver installation

    Hello all;

In the past I usually installed the oracle drivers and basically went to my visual studio and he added as reference for me to be able to connect to an oracle database, but today seems otherwise with this new driver I've ever used. I just installed the following driver below

http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/Visual-Studio/downloads/index.html - ODAC 11.2 Release 3 (11.2.0.2.1) with Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio

and when I went to my visual studio 2010 to add it as a reference to establish connectivity to an oracle database, I can not find the oracle.dataccess.dll... every suggestion on how to solve this problem will be appreciated. Thank you.

I don't have the handy bug number, but I think that there is a bug in the installation scripts that make ODP not been listed in the VS .NET references in some cases. You should be able to use the Browse tab when you add a reference to navigate to %ORACLE_HOME%\odp.net\bin\\Oracle.DataAccess.dll to work around the problem.

Also note that PACO questions are better posted in the ODP forum... ODP.NET

    It will be useful,

What should I do? On this Web site, you have only old version.

Yes you are right. Toshiba only offers older drivers. These drivers are tested and are protected from the GPU. This driver will not force the GPU to run on maximum performance to avoid overheating or damage GPU.

  • The VMSCSI driver installation

    Hello

I watched (and tried) a help of multiple threads in this regard - but without success!

My Mac works Fusion 2.0.6 and I have a VM installed Win XP. The size of the drive has experienced huge growth - and now, I created a new virtual machine, consolidation of snapshots etc. which halved the total used disk space.

At the launch of the virtual machine, I get the message on Win XP with one or more SCSI virtual drivers installed - and install the SCSI driver on the site of vm.

I downloaded the file .flp, power off the virtual machine and attached the .flp as a disk file in the merge settings

The launch, I now get a message saying THAT NTLDR is missing (and press a key to reboot). It does nothing and I have to close the virtual machine to regain control.

Can someone help me get through this? I don't really want to go back and install a new virtual machine from scratch - but that's where I'm headed right now!

By the way - if I OK the message from Fusion on SCSI drivers - windows still seems to load correctly

    Thanks for any help

    Patrick

If you have not all indicators showing in the Windows Device Manager for SCSI devices and what you have said that you do not have, then there is no need to install the driver and you can just check the box in the message box to display the message.

  • Install the AHCI driver after XP installed for T400

I searched and found different thread on how to install the SATA/AHCI drivers after installation. The thinking seems to be to run the file Install.cmd from the Intel Matrix Storage Manager download. Any thoughts / ideas? And thanks in advance.
