iCloud library Confusion

Hi all

I'm probably asking a stupid question here, but I just can't get my head around this?

1. on my PC, I add a track to my iTunes Apple Music.

2. in the following seconds, he adds the track to my iPhone via Wi-Fi/cloud; the phone is not connected.

3. on my PC, I then download the recently added track. It downloads OK.

If I sync my phone with my music, is it supposed to download the song on my phone or am I also wanted to re-download the song on my phone?

I expect would be iTunes PC sync and charge on my phone?

This makes sense?

See you soon

Jack

You should not synchronize the song on your phone to synchronize iTunes and download on your iPhone.

  • iCloud library download not any photo library

    Hello

I decided to start using iCloud photo library, so I checked the option "Préférences"-> "iCloud" Photos (version 2.0). He started to download items very well, but I noticed it is not downloading the entire library of Photos. My photo library contains 7065 photos and 151 videos, but Photos only started to load about 2500 points on iCloud library after activating what is 16.5 GB (see screenshots). When you look at the size of "Library.photoslibrary Photos" is 46.5. Does anyone know a reason for this difference? Thank you

It'll take some time according to the signal from your ISP and Wi - Fi.  Make sure that your signal is good.

Yes, they do. See:iCloud photo library - Apple Support

Note that if you open the Photos on your Mac and go to preferences and click on iCloud at the top of the preferences window, there are 2 options: 'Download the originals of this Mac' and 'Optimize Mac storage.' If you choose the option optimize and your Mac is low on storage space, then the originals can be replaced with smaller optimized versions.

  • photos on iCloud library not to display on the iPhone

    Hello

First of all, I am running: MacOS Sierra & iOS 10.

I'm Tournai on iCloud photo library on my mac and synchronized about 6000 pictures (which was AAAGGGEEESSS) to the cloud.

I then turned on the iCloud photo library on my iPhone 6 s, and once again, downloaded more than 1500 pictures.

Now, in the Photos app on my mac, I can see all the photos (including my phone) and when I login to iCloud via a web browser, I can also see all 7000 +. However, on the application of photos on my iPhone, only photos taken on the phone are displayed - rather than those of my mac.

Am I missing something? As I understand it, all my photos must be posted on the phone (even if "Optimized storage" is enabled).

Try the head tilt iCloud library switch to see if it could kickstart on the iPhone.

  • iCloud library always up-to-date!

    Hi guys,.

I have an iPhone 6 and I started using icloud library recently. I turned on icloud photo library on my iphone and the photos were perfectly sync with icloud. Later, I've disabled icloud photo library on my iphone and uploaded a few photos to icloud by using the web interface via google chrome (using a windows pc). Then I turned on icloud photo library on my iphone and the photos I have uploaded via google chrome have been be synced to my phone and I got a message on my iphone saying that my phone doesn't have enough available space to complete the synchronization, so I cancelled the sync to my iphone. Later, when I logged in my photo library icloud thanks to google chrome and bottom of the screen he just keeps telling 'updated'. Now when I remove some photos of icloud photo library thanks to google chrome, the photos reappear when I login to icloud again. Also, I can't create new albums or download new photos on icloud photo library. Expecting a solution from anyone and it will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

When he says "updated", are you connected to a Terminal Wifi good and reliable?

  • Cannot repair the photo library. The best way to restore from iCloud library?

The photo library of the system is damaged and cannot be repaired.

It is said "Photos has attempted to repair the library"Pictures Library 2015 ", but can not open it." .

I first met problems with this library a week before and at the time where I could repair and open the library successfully, but lacked a month value of photos.

Given that it was successfully in the iCloud library, I left it to re - sync - but this process suspended several times before the end, and the photo library of the system now seems to be permanently damaged.

I have no project of marked or impression of faces in the photo library of the system, then I would be happy just to restore from iCloud.

My plan is to put in place a new - empty - library and then that designate the library of the system.

If I understand this right, the new (empty) system Photo library will now resynchronize with iCloud and will copy all the contents of this library of back to my Mac.

Is this correct? It is the most effective way to restore my library?

And while I'm here - what is the best way to manage a very large library? I had my photo library become corrupted ten three or four times over the past years and have found it necessary to divide into single years to prevent this. I overlooked this piece of household by the end of 2015, and now it's happened again... Surely, there must be an easier way to manage libraries of images of several years?

Is this correct? It is the most effective way to restore my library?

Yes, if you don't have a useful upward on your Mac.

How do you call a large library, I've never had a corrupt Library, I think that your problems are not the result of the size of the library, but rather something else. From my experience it is recommended to maintain a local upward, I use Time machine, but also have a second to the top using a third-party backup solution.

  • Unable to choose "iCloud library" after the restoration of Mac

Hello everyone, this is my first time, ask a question here.

I have a MacBook Pro with a library of 57 214 (317 GB) photos stored on an external hard drive. I recently downloaded all these photos to iCloud library (it took 5 days!) but just yesterday, I had to do a clean OS install. Since then, I tried to implement the pictures once again.

My library on the hard drive is set as the system library, but when I select 'iCloud photo library' with the option ' download originals of this Mac ", it selects, then begins to download, it cancels the. If I try to select it again, the same thing happens.

    Two minutes later...

Can someone tell what I can do? Should I remove the pictures from the cloud and try again?

The problem may be that the free storage is not enough to download all original icloud in addition to the pictures already in your library.

It might be easier to download the library of iCloud to an empty library instead of download the. library again.

Do you have plans in your photo library, you need to save or invested a lot of work by naming the faces?

Otherwise, move your existing photo library to an external drive as a backup copy, then remove the library of your internal drive.

    • Launch of Photos with the options key held down to bring up the library Chooser Panel.
    • Select this option to create a new library.
    • Make this new library your system photo library and activate iCloud.  Your photos and albums will begin to download. It will be faster than the download. Once again and the merger of the two libraries.

But the download will not restore the named faces and not projects. IF you keep the original library to access your projects and have a reference for the faces that he will have to restore.

  • I have lost my original photos from my local drive if I optimized my iCloud library?

I moved my photo (900 GB) library on an external drive. The value in pictures new external player as the new library system library. Now when I turn on iCloud it tells me I have to optimize my photos. I'm afraid of losing my originals from my local drive. Optimization of my library will erase my originals from my local computer? I have to delete my old library in iCloud that has already gone through the pain staking the download process (759GB) in order to reuse my iCloud? I try to avoid to keep my computer another 3 months. Simply cross ICloud cannot check the new library with my iCloud library and move on. How can I start again using my iCloud? Please give me some advice or assistance. Thank you

The value in pictures new external player as the new library system library. Now when I turn on iCloud it tells me I have to optimize my photos.

What is your external drive only has 1 TB of storage?  You have found the warning because the 900 GB in iCloud and the size of your current library on the external hard drive will not fit on the disc. If you have a disc, use a drive twice the size of your library of Photos, so you will not miss storage in the years to come. Any drive that you use with pictures must have Mac OS Extended (Journaled) file system.

iCloud library does not know, the pictures are identical. It will download all the photos in the library moved to iCloud and check if they are duplicates. And it only allows you to introduce you, if you use 'Optimize', if the combined size of the photos in iCloud and on your Mac is larger than the available storage.

And Yes, the "optimize" option can cause some originals will be deleted. It is completely dynamic.  You can turn this option off again directly after that you turned the library on the external drive as your iCloud photo library for re-download all original, and before Photos was able to start optimization. Do it only if you are sure, the library will fit.

If you do not all projects in your photo library and did not use the function "Faces" and has invested a lot of work by naming the faces, you could simply start with an empty library on your external drive and let the photos to download icloud to the empty library. It will be faster to download again and the merger of the library moved in your library to iCloud. The only downside, the tags of faces will be missing and your books and other projects. If you need to keep a backup copy of the library has moved.

  • Why should I download a video to my iCloud library whenever I want to watch it?

Why should I download a video to my iCloud library whenever I want to watch it?

If I try to watch a video recorded on my iPhone which is more than a day old must download from the iCloud.

Surely, photos and videos must reside on my device as usual as well as in the iCloud and not exclusively.

You have iCloud library enabled and set to optimize your photos?

  • What happens when you disable and remove iCloud library after 30 days?

Hello Apple, so today I disabled and deleted iCloud library in my settings, I wanted to know if the application is deleted from your phone after 30 days, to take pictures with your camera what happens after 30 days, and if after 30 days you turn on iCloud Photo library of back?

If you just stopped synchronization, photos should remain on the device. The 30 days, you mentioned is that if you remove the device. The application will remain even if you delete all the photos. If after 30 days you turn on synchronization, all photos will be synchronized.

  • Images deleted (and videos) icloud library do not disappear into the folder of the masters

I've got iCloud Library set up on my Mac OS X 10.11.6 and my iPhone iOS 9.3.3

I have 300 + pictures and videos in my library to iCloud and then I recently deleted 50 + useless pictures and videos on my Mac to prepare a backup on Google Photos for the first time. I then tried Google pictures and to my surprise, the pictures I deleted still get uploaded to Google pictures even if I them deleted on my Mac, still 300 + of them.

I am looking for .mov in the masters in my library folder, and I always find my deleted videos. I tried to use unwanted CleanMyMac to photo but it is not deleted.

Is it possible to remove the so-called "deleted" photos and videos without completely deleting my library of Photos, or should I make a cool library to start over?

Give 30 days to remove or open the recently deleted folder and delete now

and to get rid of CleamMyMac - it is Malware total and may have damaged your library or your system and can be the cause of your problems - do not install MacKeeper

  • On photos on iphone with iCloud library storage

How can I limit the space used by photos in ios9 without deleting icloud?

With iCloud library enabled, you cannot delete a photo on a device (or iCloud.com) without deleting each device which uses iCloud photo library (iCloud.com). In order to save space on your mobile devices (and indeed your Mac if you want to) turn on the optimization of the pictures on these devices (settings > photos & camera > optimize storage on your mobile device and Photo preferences > optimize storage on your Mac)

Dynamic optimization, it reduces the resolution of your photos, if necessary, so that you don't notice it occurring initially. However, when necessary, it is very effective, and users have reported libraries being optimized for much less than 10% of their original size in some cases. My own library is about 9% of its original on my phone size.

In most cases, optimize your photos should be enough to raise the space related issues on your device. However, if you have an exceptionally large library you may need to disable iCloud photo library on your mobile device and use instead the photo stream. You can then use a computer to manage the photo stream photos and have them automatically imported into you iCloud photo library.
