ICM4 to VCP5

Hello

I don't really understand the requirement of VCP5. I went to ICM4 and without passage VCP4, I went VCP5 29 Feb. Now I need to know in order to certify for VCP5 should I take VCP4 and transmitted (or) it is essential to take the "what's new at VSphere5. I'd rather take the VCP4 exam instead of taking what's new at VSphere5' class.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Thank you

Since you have already taken and successful examination of the VCP5, the course of "what's new" will be all the you have to do.  Once you complete the course you will be officially recognized as a VCP5 by VMware.

  • I took an ICM4 course, I should get VCP4 first and then VCP5?

    Hi all

I took ICM4 but do not yet have any VMware Certification and I am looking for it. Here are my questions:

Should I get first VCP4 and then VCP5 or just forcus on VCP5?

If I want to VCP5 without taken another course of ICM5, do I need to take the VCP4 exam as VCP5 before the end of February 2012 or I only need to get VCP4 before that date and I can take VCP5 review at any time thereafter?

If I decide to go straight to the VCP5, shoud I'm just "what's new in vSphere 5 ' or 'ICM5' couse?

    Thanks in advance!

All the certification paths are on the VMware website:

IMHO: you can go to the VCP4 and before the end of February take also the consideration of the VCP5.

  • VCP5-> VCP6 but I'm overwhelmed?

So my VCP5-VTC expired 31 Oct.  But I see that the review of the re-cert VCP5-VTC Delta review is available until December 31?  -What for non expired VCP5-DCVs?

Am I still eligible to apply for permission?  I met the pre - req review VCP5-VTC (VCP510) and obviously spent.

I could take VCP5 - VTC Delta Exam?

Path 3 on this page holds the answer: VCP6-VTC Certification

You are actually square 1 and should start as if you had never taken a class or prior review - pain to allow your VCP expire...

  • VCP5 Recertification help please...

    Hi all

I'm looking to recertify my VCP5-VTC and have barely got round to watching it.  I have until December 2015 but had time to work on that now.  I asked for and received approval for the VCP6 Delta, but think I left it at the end of what I'm reading?  PearsonVue site keep crashing on me, so cannot confirm!  I liked the opportunity to renew this cheaply with the Delta review.

A requested and received approval for the examination of VCP550 Delta but know a lot about this, it is a test to open online book?  What is the cost of this?  New site PearsonVue is to be a nightmare, so cannot really see costs and options of programming.

    Thank you

    Dan

Delta VCP6-VTC 2V0 review - 621D was in beta, but I think that the beta period has just ended - review final delta is expected to be launched in July and August, I expected.

You will always have to "renew cheap" with the final review of delta - no courses required, just a single review, and you will earn VCP6-VTC but also quite your VTC VCP5.

If you do not wish to recertify now, you can do it with VCP550D, or you could take a PCV in a different technology area, or push you to level VCAP.

VCP550D is taken online from any location.

    Hello guys,.

I spent my VAC - DCV (path VMware5.5) last March 2015 and summer see much new in vSphere 6.0 examinations were published and released.

I concentrate in vSphere 5.5 and wondering if still worthwhile to continue my preparation followed by certification for VCP5-VTC since vSphere 6.x (VTC-VCA6 / VCAP6-VTC are released?)

Thanks for your advice in advance!

If I were you, I'd go for VCP6-VTC - you'll need to take a course of vSphere 6 and will find these abundant provide already - by the time you're ready final exams (2V0-620 and 621 - 2V0) must be released.

  • How to book review VCP5-VTC?

    Hello

How to book review VCP5-VTC?  I'm on the train, and I think it means that I have a way to be able to do the review.  I was told that I can't do the review, unless I follow training.  What is the cost of the review too?

I'll use autolabs for my lab setup, but that many use to test questions to prepare you for the exam?

    Thank you

I guess you're new to VMware/certification exams. You have a choice of 2 exams which you can take - VCP510 is based on vSphere 5.0/5.1, and VCP550 is based on vSphere 5.5.

Start on this page, the authorization of the request and download the action plan for the exam you wish to take: (VCP5-VTC) VCP-Data Center Virtualization

There is a guide and review the practice of study on the page I linked above. You will find many other helpful online resources if you are looking for "vcp5-VTC study guide", or you can buy practice tests from MeasureUp: VMware Practice Tests

  • VCP5-VTC certification?

I want to do the certification VCP5-VTC, but im not sure how much I need to know to have a chance to make it, perhaps someone could point me in the right direction.

    I finished these 2 courses

    vSphere: install, configure, manage [5.5]

    vSphere: optimize & chelle [5.5]

Yes, you can always take a review - VCP510 relies on vSphere 5.0/5.1 and VCP550 is on vSphere 5.5.

Your presence on the course should have been followed by the training provider, you should see the on your myLearn transcript - head to this page and you sign in to your account: VMware education

  • Requirements to the review VCP5 - VTC (VCP550)

    Hello

I attended this training session VMware vSphere: install, configure, manage [V5.1] in June 2013. And now I want to spend the VCP5-VTC review vcp550. I asked for a permission that has been validated. However, I wonder if I can really do this review because in this link https://mylearn.vmware.com/mgrReg/plan.cfm?plan=12457 & ui = www_cert , I saw that the requirement is this course vSphere: install, configure, manage [5.5]. can someone answer me please?

You are very well - the web page is usually updated to show the latest version of the class.

You can take exams VCP510 or VCP550 - VCP510 is based on vSphere 5.0/5.1, while VCP550 is based on vSphere 5.5 - submitting a review you will win the same certification VCP5-VTC.

  • VCP5-VTC and VCP6-DT

    Hello

I have a valid certificate of VCP5-VTC, which is admissible as 'level vcp certification valid' VCP6-DT review?

Yes, provided that it remains current (I refer to the date limit for renewal of certification that many meet March 10)

  • VCP5-VTC - VCP510 (5.0/5.1), VCP550D (5,5)

    Hello

If I VCP510 review, then the VCP550D review, I'll be VCP5-VTC certified for the following versions of vSphere 5.0, 5.1 and 5.5? Would be the same as having passed the test of VCP550?

    See you soon

I assume you mean to "qualify" as you were trained on vSphere 5.0 or 5.1.

The minor version of your training has no influence on which exam you can take — you can take now to VCP550 (less the D) which relies on vSphere 5.5.

From VCP550 is by far the easiest option for you to have passed an examination certification on vSphere 5.5.

But the title of your certification will tell VCP5-VTC regardless of whether you pass VCP510, or VCP550, or VCP510 followed by VCP550D.

  • VCAC 510 certification will renew VCP5?

    HI team

I finished VCAC510 review & certified, it will renew my VCP5 certification which will expire March 10, 2015?

VCAC510 is the code review for VCA-cloud - what do you got?

If so, then any who do not recertify your VCP - you must make at least a review of VCP level to do this.

Have a look here: Policy of Recertification

  • Recertification VCP4-VTC at VCP5-VTC

    Hello.

I'm about to start my recertification because I have time until March 10, 2015 for that.

There is an option for the exam VCP510 or VCP550.

Could someone tell me what is the best approach for this renewal of certification?

If I take VCP510, I will be eligible for an additional upgrade directly to VCP6 when it's available, or I would need first put to VCP550 and then to VCP6?

    Kind regards

    Vladimir

VCP510 and VCP550 provide the same certification, the VCP5 VTC.

They prepare you for the future.

VCP510 is based on vSphere 5.0/5.1

VCP550 is based on vSphere 5.5

  • VCP2 - VCP5 without participation in courses?

I have an old VCP2 of 2005 - is - it true I can pass this to VCP5 if I have the exam of the VCP5 before March 10, 2015, without having to attend an official course vSphere 5?

Yes. Take a look at question 6 in the FAQ on this page: Policy of Recertification

  • VCP5 vs VCP5-VTC differences

    Hello

Can someone tell me please the differences between VCP5 and VCP5-VTC?

Just bought the book of PCV and realized later that it is a newer version. But not sure about the differences. Am I really missed a lot of new book? I don't really want to buy the same book again if I do not need.

I want to know is that VCP5-VTC is the effective replacement for VCP5?

Yes... VMware has added VTC - just to differentiate different VCP tracks available as I told you on my previous post.

So is VCP5-VTC identical VCP5 with new data center and 5.5 subjects?

Yes, but 5.5 subjects is available only on the second edition of the book.

  • VCP5-VTC - training courses to qualify for Certification

    Hi all

I'm new to VMWare certification, if you are looking for clarification on certain issues.

I try to go to the VCP5-VTC, once I finished the VCA - VTC. I think it's an online exam.

Anyway, my question is. What I read, you must complete one of the courses of 5 days, to be eligible to take the exam for the certification?

IM course this has probably been asked before on this forum, so apologies for the repetition of the question.

    Thank you

    Marc

    Hi Marc,

Welcome to the forum - there are tons of useful information here.

To answer your question, yes you will have to follow a course of qualification - and the exam - in order to get a certification. The complete requirements and courses are listed here: (VCP5-VTC) VCP-Data Center Virtualization based on the background you shared, you would follow path 1.

    Best wishes

    Jill
