Icon text/fonts

My icon on my desktop text is more jagged and pixalized than my regular text. I was wondering if it was normal, and if this is not normal how to fix.

Thank you very much for your time and support, of lnachtigal

    Dear users,

Just upgraded my Tecra M5-400 in Visa Ulimate. The problem now is that the icons, text, etc. are not displayed correctly (big, dull). Tried drivers from Toshiba, but none of them is specific for my model, and some of them do not install.

Any ideas what I should do or what driver I need to download?

  • Desktop icon text boxes are blue highlighted

original title: the desktop icon text box

The text under my desktop icons are highlighted in a blue rectangle.  How do I get the highlighted blue and rectangle to disappear?  It was clear a few days ago.

Do a net search for "icons transparent Alan Edwards" and you will always find the answer for this quickly.  Here is the answer to the problem:

    1. Control Panel-System-Advanced-Performance settings.
Check "Shadows fall to use the desktop icon labels" on the display
    Effects tab.

2 - Click on Desktop - "arrange icons by" and ensure the lock Web
    items is disabled.

    3. transparency will not work if you have the web content on your desktop.
Control panel - display properties Desktop tab - customize the Office-
Web tab, clear all the check boxes.

    4. ensure that the wallpaper is an image file no HTML.

  • on my desktop, the icon, (text under the icon) are highlighted, is anyway to have just the text under the icon? Thank you

on my desktop, the icon, (text under the icon) are highlighted, is anyway to have just the text under the icon? Thank you

This is probably caused by your background color of your screen.  You can confirm this by:

If you have a Web page on your screen, then you will need set the color manually by:

    (1) right click on your desktop and select "Properties".
    (2) this should bring up your "Display properties" dialog box  (You can also get it by going to your control panel and double-clicking on 'Display'.)
    3) click on the tab "Office".
    (4) on the bottom right of the dialog box, there is a 'Color' option and below which shows the colors of the office - this must match what you see on the screen.
    (5) simply change the color to whatever color you want and then click on the 'OK' button to close the "display properties".

If you do not have any web content on your desktop, you can set the transparent icon labels by:

    (1) right-click on 'My Computer' then click 'properties '.
    2) click on the "Advanced" tab
    (3) in the 'Performance' section, click on the button "settings".
    (4) make sure that "shadows fall to use the desktop icon labels" is checked
    5) click on the 'OK' button to get out of the "Performance Options".
"6) click on the 'OK' button to get out of" System Properties "
    (7) right click on desktop
    (8) mouse on "arrange icons by".
    (9) be sure that "Lock Web items on desktop" is unchecked.  (If it is, just click once.)

I would like to change my Desktop Icon TEXT black or other color so I can READ the TEXT under the icon. Wallpaper is a picture that I took has a very pale blue sky almost white. Hello, Jeff WTR755,.

Thank you for posting.   What you're trying to do is possible, all in Classic skin Mode.  You can do so by following the steps I have provided below.  Please pay attention to the " " " to change the colors on your computer if you have no Windows Aero"section.

Please let me know if this helps you.

Change the colors on your computer

    1. You can change the color of your window frames, the start menu and the taskbar.

    2. Click to open personalization.

    3. Click on window color and appearance.

    4. Under the window color and appearance, click the color you want, and then click OK.

    Note

    • If you see the dialog box appearance instead of the window color and appearance settings, the theme might not be set to Windows Vista, the color scheme might not be set to Windows Aero, or the computer might not meet the minimum hardware requirements for running Windows Aero. For more information, see solving problems with Windows Aero.

To change the colors on your computer if you don't have Windows Aero

    1. If you have determined that you do not have Windows Aero, you can still change some colors on your computer.

    2. Click to open appearance settings.

    3. Click Advanced.

    4. In the item list, click the part of Windows that you want to change the color.

    5. In the color list, click the color you want.

    6. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each component of Windows which you want to change the color, and then click OK.

I suggest you to change the resolution in the display settings and check the results. If there is no change in display settings, there might be a change in which the icons could enlarge himself to adapt to change.

  • The Publisher icon 2009 font

From what I've read, it seems that there is no compatibility between the fonts on the 2009 icon editor and the Publisher of old icons.

Am I wrong in thinking that all newly created screws can't have the same aspect of icon as old screws imported into a project.

If I am not mistaken, this seems to be a significant loss for the design of coherence and a blatant microsofting of NOR.

While the new editor provides a lot more features, a simple installation requires more effort.

Someone please tell me I'm wrong.
