  I know one thing to get your links to always open in a new window:
  1. Right-click on your desktop, select new, then shortcut
  2. Type "" C:\Program may Explorer\IEXPLORE. "." EXE" and click Next
  3. Name the shortcut (for example: Microsoft Home) and click Finish
  4. Right-click on the new shortcut and select Properties
  5. In the target box, arrow over until the end of the path, add a space and add -new (WEBSITEPATH). When your finished, your path should look like this:
     "" C:\Program may Explorer\IEXPLORE. "." "EXE" - new www.microsoft.com
  6. Click OK and try it!

  I just installed it on my device.

  Here is the list of what I can add to the quick launch menu:

  Standard applications :

  • Add Camera
  • Add video camera
  • Add Call Log Erase
  • Add the calculator
  • Add info on the device
  • Add Bluetooth Config
  • Add some Options of BB
  • Add the calendar
  • Add BB Maps
  • Add Contacts
  • Add to the event log

  Hyperlinks :

  • Add Url (no matter what URl, but cannot choose the options like a bookmark)
  • Add phone call (can type a phone number or choose from the list of Contacts)
  • Add Email (can type an e-mail address or choose from the list of Contacts)
  • Add SMS (can type a number of mobile, to choose amongst the list of contacts)
  • Add file (Image, Audio, Video, etc.)

  Applications that can be selected :

  • net_rim_bb_qm_google---> (perhaps GoogleTalk) causes "Eception Exception: DSC: duplicate Sync Collection.
  • net_rim_bb_messagin_app (app Messages)
  • net_rim_phone_app (phone application)
  • TalkLock (should not appear since it is a demon and not a real application, I have not tried adding and clicking on it if)
  • net_rim_qm_peer (Blackberry Messenger)

  Other applications I have installed and which can not be selected :

  • Opera Mini (4.2 for J2ME devices)

  Pros :

  • It is an application very well for common applications & access
  • You can assign it to a side convenience key
  • You can change the order of items in the list
  • cheap

  Disadvantages : all applications installed on the device can not be selected.

  Final thoughts :

  • I would have preferred to be able to open the keyboard and VLingo. Because of two, I can't use the application until I used to manipulate the storm differently.
  • I hope that there will be updates that I'll be able to download without paying a second time.

• Lower the bar of icons and quick launch tool

  My low cost bar icons (quick launch and those that show when you have programs open does not show on my lower toolbar.) The toolbar is there but not the icons. It is is past before onbce and that of the people MS has shown me how to solve this problem via a setting in Control Panel, in my opinion, but I can't find the directions. Can someone help me with the parameter that allows you to show. It wasn't her hide the icon settings. It was something a bit more complicated.

  Hi Donald,.

  Right-click on the taskbar and select properties in the drop-down page. In the District of taskbar appearance, check the box "Show quick launch".  Uncheck "lock the taskbar and Auto hide the taskbar."  In the notification area, click the Customize buttonand select the desired of each icon to take action.

  I lost the sound icon in my quick launch
  When I try and get it back, I get this message windows cannot display the control of volume on the taskbar because the volume control program has not been installed. to install it use Add Remove programs in the control panel.

  You made me in the right direction. I had to browse the CD and find the E:\I386\SNDVOL. Ex_ copy / paste on my desktop and rename the name extension of .exe and then move it to the C:/WINDOWS/SYSTEM32 folder and then double click it. Re-boot and his WOOOOOT icon is back!  YOU ROCK!

• How can I get the original icon HP Quick Launch (NOT the shortcut!) on my DESKTOP?

  I have a HP 2000 t - 2d 00 Notebook PC with operating system Windows 8.1.  The computer was recently repaired, but when I bought it, it had initially provided with HP Quick Start icon (square blue tile - like appearance with the rocket / is NOT a shortcut with an arrow inside!)

  Once it has been repaired, the original official HP QuickStart icon was on the desk.

  However, something happened, I have no idea what (!), and the original official HP QuickStart icon disappeared from the desktop!

  I would be very happy if someone could tell me how to get the original icon HP Quick Start (blue tile in appearance as square with the rocket) on my desk.

  I don't want a shortcut; I know how to create a shortcut!  I am certainly difficult and would like to have some things on the desktop exactly the way they were when I came to the computer.

  You missed my questions in my first reply to your message!  The link you provided for the program that can get rid of the arrows on the desktop shortcut icons does not have audio, or am I missing something?

  And since you said I could try a system restore before that the icon has been "modified" - does this mean that the original icon, when I got the computer brand new, * has * indeed an icon for HP Quick Launch / is NOT a shortcut?

  First perform a battery pull reboot as this device on remove the battery for a min. then reinsert it wit back up what your device restarts. Then give it a try and see if it allows you to uninstall this application.

  If that does not start then your device on Safe Mode, while safe mode remove the theme of your device. Options of > device > application > remove it of there.after conducting another battery pull reboot.

If Yes, who is the App Switcher Ribbon and will display always all running applications, so it's basically context sensitive... If an application runs, it displays. There are 5 who will always show

  All others are applications you have open and not completely closed.

  Once you open the notification, the star disappears immediately on the screen of your BlackBerry.

  On your home screen, open main messages Inbox > highlight any date or say today > press the Menu key > click on "mark read prior", then do a battery pull reboot by removing the battery while your unit is powered, wait a min. then reinsert this return. After restarting, please check if the problem resolves.

  I checked the other posts & not found it described.

  He sits to the right of the yellow envelope showing incoming emails.

  It is slightly smaller that the yellow envelope, seems to be a gray envelope, with a black 'joint' and a little red on the upper right circle, which may have the number "1" in it - all very difficult to see.

  I checked all my emails - all empty.

  No RIM messages either.

  No BlackBerry World update.

  Removed the battery & rebooted.

  From your home screen, go to your Messages folder.  Press the menu button, and then select the display folder.  Two likely candidates to look at would be browser Messages and WAP Push, even if it might be in other folders as well.  See if you can find it in these cases.

  This Council has worked for some and did not work for others.  This icon seems to be quite evasive as to its origin.  It's probably a third-party application by pushing the message on your phone, but nobody seems to be able to identify it.

  Are you sure it's a text notification you see?  Anyway, you can post a screen shot for us?

  Try a hard reset with your device powered on, remove the battery from your device, wait a few minutes and then put the battery back.

  If the notification still appears, open a folder of messages, press the BlackBerry Menu button (to the left of the trackpad), then select view folders.  This will bring up a list of all possible cases where the notification could result.  Could be hiding in one of these.  If you find it, delete it and your notification will be cancelled.
