  I am owner of a Pavilion dv7 - 4087cl laptop with Windows 7 64 bit. After following the instructions in this post, I ran a test on my hard drive in the BIOS and the full hard drive obtained at 24% test and gave me the message "hard drive 1 full [305]" I'm not sure what it means, and I know that my hard drive is full far. Help, please.

  I was not able to find an explanation for the fault code referenced hard drive I get who runs the HARD drive test.  This code is blown on several occasions during the short test HDD and it does not in the long run test but stops with this error.  So, I guess that the drive should be replaced because a CHKDSK command-line with the set of "fix" has not solved the problem.

  My question is if I can replace the HHD with a 500 GB SSD on this motherboard?  If Yes, what steps do I take to replace the disk and recover my system and information?  I looked through the pages of BIOS and does not see a place to set the HARD drive configuration, so I wonder if the system will accept a SSD drive.  Thank you for your help.

  Last year, I bought the laptop from HP Pavilion dv7-4070us, running windows 7 64 bit. Everything was fine and dandy until recently. These days I only watched youtube videos and TV shows, when one day I turn on my computer to find that it remains on the splash screen of Windows 7 for an abnormal amount of time. This happened to me once before, but for some strange reason, (FYI: I'm tech savvy, so this question was a little weird) it was set the last time. However, unlike last time, the issue has not been resolved, the loading times still takes like 5 min or more. More when I run the diagnostic system test, the hard drive failed the short DST with the id of the fault: PKVV5g - 5525T 4 - XD003G - 60QN03.

  In addition, I ran the (samsung "collaborates" with seagate) drive hard seagate diagnostic with the same result, short failure of DST, but generic long and short generic and chip is checked and passed. So I was wondering if anyone had this similar problem and how did you resolve the situation. Again, the only thing I've done recently is only go on internet to see youtube and television series/films, only changes would be updated to windows. Another think I really have not tinkered around with the system.

  Failure of the DST is always in my experiences of time to replace the hard drive. Better, download your backed up files soon because sometimes the failure comes quickly after this notice.

  Hello - I am a student of the University who made the mistake of thinking I had to upgrade my OS system after seeing some updates new flashy in the Sierra. Long story short, that my computer is locked into a cycle where I restarts and the installation process will begin installation but end abruptly and ask me to reboot again.

  I have exams and papers due and seriously want access to my data again. I don't have a back up of my files. As such, I am looking for a method that will allow me access to my files that I need to be able to read notes, print etc.

  Details: I have an old MBPro by the end of 2011. He was on as the primary OS x Lion. I had updated some time later. More recently, I got El Capitan and it worked very well. I downloaded Sierra in the background as I did work at home and after installing it, it asked me to reboot. This was the point that I was able to come back from. Reboot after installation scenario is as follows:

  -A progress bar comes up saying 34 minutes until completion

  -The progress bar goes to 33 minutes until completion

  -Beginning of fans of my computer acting upward and the bar stops and crashes of progression

  -The installation process says he doesn't have and asks me to restart my computer

  Specifically, I get the message 'Mac OS could not be installed on your computer. File system check or repair a failure. Quit the installer to restart your computer and try again. »

I'm willing to buy one if necessary, but I don't know how to make a backup in a world where I don't have access to the major functional sections of my computer. But, if I can't do the verification step (i.e. open a browser and type in the details of my student specific to actually use the web), I do not think that this will help you a lot. In addition, I am sure that I am already using one of the less frequently used options.

  I want to avoid a permanent possible deletion because there are important things on my computer.

  Same problem here on my Mac Mini end of 2012. I couldn't find any fix so far. The machine worked perfectly fine before with El Capitan and had about 50 GB of available disk space. I have use any version beta of Sierra, but officially released one that came yesterday. Really disappointing to see the new system operating software with fundamental questions and no good way to solve it.

  Your best bet is an accumulator.  I have one I got on Amazon by EC Tech.  It is a brick, but it will charge my iPhone and the iPad, if the current is cut off.  You just need to load the brick and keep it in an emergency.

  I have similar problems, but do not have a definitive answer to Apple. They replaced my D500 cards, graphics & the power supply but the plant still Mac Pro. According to the Apple phone support, looks like my logic board is bad. You will need to visit the Apple Store again to see what happens.

  This isn't a failure or defect.

  Zoom (an accessibility function) has been activated on your watch and you are zoomed accidentally tapping on the screen in a particular way.

  • To turn off the Zoom:
    • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: My Watch (tab) > general > accessibility > Zoom - put it off.
    • Or on your watch, go to: homescreen (via a simple press on the digital Crown) > (cog icon) settings > general > accessibility > Zoom - tap and enable / disable.
  • If the accessibility shortcut has been enabled and configured for the Zoom, you can also enable and disable functionality more conveniently:
    • On your watch: quickly press the digital Crown (the round button) three times.

  Usually start up to a blank screen without the Apple Logo, may report one of the following:

  • Hardware failure
  • Boot drive is not recognized as valid and updated updated

While I've taken at the authorized Service Center then they said his mother board failure and asked me to pay 42000INR. Is it really motherboard problem?   You can test it by connecting via USB, a boot disk.  If the Mac recognizes, the Mac, boots, then the internal drive or connection that is the problem.  Is it is not recognized, then it may very well be a logic card problem.
