Worked previously. Have already handed over in place (and updated) drivers IEEE 1394 cables checked, restarted computer, port disabled and re-enabled, etc.. Patches are up to date.

    Hello

    · What is the number and the model of the computer?

    · Other devices are connected via the port IEEE-1394 have detected?

Check that the device is detected in Device Manager. Follow the steps for the same thing:

    a. click on start

    b. click Run, in the Run dialog box type devmgmt.msc

    c. in the Device Manager window, look for the device and expand the drive, double-click the sub element to check if an error message or error code is listed.

You can see: the computer does not recognize the hard drive camcorder USB connection: http://www.kb.sony.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&externalId=C499324&fes=true&mdl=DCRTRV520

  • Problem of lack of resources for IEEE 1394

We currently have a CVS-1454 with two cameras inspections.  Due to circumstances with the inspection and machine, we try to move the inspections to the computer that communicates with the RESUME.  We get the error "the IEEE 1394 camera could not be initialized because of the lack of resources on the IEEE-1394 bus".  This error occurs only in Vision Builder.  This is not the case in MAX.

The specific features of the system are: the PC is under XP SP3 with a card PCI-8252.  There are two cameras from Basler scA1390-17fm of the inspection.  The cameras are using the 7 Format, Mode 0, 1392 x 1040.  The PCI card is new out of the box, the cameras are a couple of years.  VBAI version 3.5, LabView 8.6, MAX is version 4.6.2.

I found the articles on NI.com addressing this issue, but the recommendations have had no effect.

    1. Package size & framerate: in MAX speed can be set on a 100Mbs.  Reduce the size of the package has no effect.  It has been set to the default value to 1024, but we lowered it to 200 without effect.
    2. We installed the driver of Bus AVT Package, but when we went to the driver of the TRA, the bus went to the MAX and then Windows through the new hardware wizard found and we couldn't get the cameras is displayed correctly in the Windows Device Manager, nor did they ever appear in MAX.  All of the documentation I've seen looks that we should not need to install additional drivers for the Basler cameras.
    3. The machine does not have hotfix 885222 installed, but I contemplated trying to run this update anyway: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/955408
    4. Alternate video modes: we have tried to put the cameras to any other video mode.  We can put a camera in an incredibly small resolution, but then the camera still does not work regardless of the video mode.

I hope that I put all the details there.  Any thoughts?  Should we need to install anything else after the passage in the AVT bus driver?  I was full of hope that would solve the problem.

    Thank you

    Paul

I agree with Brad, your question is probably the famous issue of Microsoft that XP SP2 and SP3 downgraded a potential to S100 speed, requiring to be restore the driver 1394 SP1 of Microsoft, or switch to Win7 where they finally solved the problem.

Or by using a substitute 1394 Microsoft compatible spare driver, such as the one offered by AVT.

But I differ respectfully with Brad that re. If the driver AVT 'worked right' or not... as it was only designed to work with AVT cameras - and will not work with Basler cameras.  This is a deliberate design feature.  Or constraint,'s point of view.  ;-)

  • How can I get a list of all IEEE 1394 defined in MAX cameras?

I can use the DAQmx_System:Global_Channels property node to get all global DAQ channels defined in MAX, but is it possible to do something similar to get all the names of camera?  I am after all especially the IEEE-1394 cameras, but would be happy with a list of all the cameras to begin with.  Is there a property node that I'm over looking?

    Hi, Christopfer,

You can use IMAQdx list Cameras.vi for a list of all the cameras. (of course, here I assumed that IMAQdx used to connect to the IEEE-1394 camera).

Another way is utility CameraValidator.exe with key/enum - this will also list the available cameras.

    Best regards

    Andrey.

  • Transfer rate maximum by using IEEE 1394

    Hello

I use an IEEE 1394 camera and I want to know how to be able to access the maximum transfer speed. Currently in the measurement and automation program I get access only to 100 Mbps, even though I know that the camera can do 800 Mbps. The initial pilot that I installed with the software was not compatible with Labview and so I had to downgrade the software a bit to be able to control the camera using Labview.

Is there a difficulty in Labview or if they solved this problem in future versions of the software IMAQdx? I am running IMAQdx version 3.7.

    Thanking you,

    Adnan Sharief

Are you by chance using XP (SP2 or SP3) or Vista?  If so, Microsoft has messed up their 1394b driver who fell from S800 to S100 speed, if the options are:

    upgrading to Win7

downgrading the driver to the SP1 version

use a driver of substitution that replaces the Microsoft driver (if your camera brand has access to a)

    Kind regards

  • Qosmio G30: Cam Sony MV does not work with port IEEE 1394

Qosmio G30-117 does not support my Sony DCR-IP5E (a micro video camera) port ieee 1394. I tried to use pinnaccle studio 9 and video ulead studio 10, but I could not see my cam because of these programs.

There is no problem if I install a new win xp media center edition (retail pack) and CDTOOLS drivers. But I want to use my setup of the Qosmio factory, I don't want to buy a new win xp media center edition.

How can I solve this problem?

    Thank you all.

    Hello Amon

I tested it with Qosmio G20 and my Sony camcorder using the same port.
I tested it with Windows movie maker, WinDVD Creator, Adobe Premiere and Ulead Media studio Pro 8.

You may believe, but each application was able to see my cam and I copied movies on the HARD drive, edited and created DVDs. I don't really know what is happening in your case, but when you connect your switch cam on game mode, and the cam must be recognized as new hardware and listed in Device Manager.

When it works well to start the applications and check again.

  • Problem connecting my camcorder canon HV40 using the IEEE 1394 port.

Windows Movie Maker (and other similar programs) will not recognize my camcorder. Mini-dv Canon HV40.

I watched many forms and comments to try to solve this problem.

Looks like I've tried everything.  When I uninstall the driver and restart my computer with the camera on playback mode, the device is found, takes me through the installation wizard and peripheral band AV/C, list host controller and about things but not the Canon camera.  The ToolTip that appears down right when the new hardware is found listed the specific Canon camera along the spirit the other stuff.

On a random note, I uninstalled the IEEE 1394 and used the "Add Hardware" command to find the camera.  It worked once!  Grew up in windows movie maker and tried to download.  Along the way got a weird error 'photogalley' insert disk I have? Code of 1706.

Never could make him again.  For only "device not detected.

I get this error thing photogalley even when you do a scan.  If I hit Cancel enough that he leaves and the analysis was recorded.

I'm just smart enough to be dangerous, but eager to get this resolved.  Any help most appreciated!

I think that the way it should work if I turn my camcorder to play, the movie maker should take it from there.  Ouch who would be nice ~.

  • How to connect a camera Digital Video through IEEE 1394 on my A50 port?

    Hello
I tried to connect a video camera to my laptop SA50-109 through port IEEE 1394... but the laptop doesn't recognize any camera...
Although the shows 'DV-in' camera when I plug the cable witch is DV (4-pin to 4-pin) cable...
is there something I need to do before to make it work?
    any ideas... Please?

    Hi Isabelle,.

I think that the normal login procedure is: -.

    1. connect the firewire cable to the camcorder.

    2. connect the other end to the laptop.

    3. turn on the camcorder (in play rather than camera mode).

    4. Windows will detect the camcorder and will make available as input source for your capture software.

  • FireWire 1394 camera problem

    Community salvation OR,.

I want to use my guppy (FireWire 1394 connection) of Allied vision camera, but I came across a connection problem. I use this card FireWire (http://www.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=428618), but according to the installation, check, this card is properly installed.

When I plugged the camera Vision Builder AI 2010 and it wouldn't recognize my camera so I went for the problem that I found at my material properties. When I go to the properties of the camera, he said: "this device does not start. (Code 10).

I've been looking for a solution, but I'm not a genius when it comes to this. So is there maybe someone who can help me with this problem.

    Concerning

    Ruts

Here's an update after a whole day looking for a solution.

I currently see the my card PCI IEEE 1394 (old map 2001) who has a complaint OHCI driver (I guess that's the default windows driver). I also see the camera under my hardware, but it shows with a small sign of error that says "device will not start (Code 10)". I also installed the driver NOR can I see in my MAX of NOR, but non-material to my PCI IEEE 1394 card.

I also discovered that when I had a unibrain driver installed (in collaboration with the complaint OHCI driver) my camera simply don't appear in my hardware.

That maybe I need to connect the driver OR with my IEEE 1394 card (I tried to do, but I could not)?

In the attachments you will find a photo that shows my material.

    EDIT:

Don't bother the problem is resolved. I think she had need of some time after uninstalling the driver unibrain to see the cam OR max. For those who have the same problem: just install the default windows driver (OHCI complaint) and install the NOR-IMAQ for IEEE 1394 driver (think my problem was the additional Unibrain driver).

  • problems with several hr2000 + external trigger mode

I hope someone can me halp on this problem:

I need to acquire spectra with two hr2000 + and a nirques256 with labview external trigger mode.

The external trigger mode is done by another pc and also the train of pulpse generator.

If a trigger after I'm going to generate a 100 impulse every 20ms for each device through a dedicted Council.

If I only work with ghosts at times things works fine and the system is very stable, BUT if I work with two or three spectres by now I have a really strange (maybe for me) problem with the timeout.

This is due to an incorrect number of pulses:

If I work with two device then I need to produce pulses of 200 each 20ms but my spectrometers provide data every 40ms, but I need to equip every 20ms

If I work with threedevice and then I need to produce pulses of 300 each 20ms but my spectrometers to obtain data each 60ms but I need to equip every 20ms

Thus, in this way, I lose the synchronization of the three councils.

An options may be to use a dedicated pc for each device

I acquire the signal via usb and the problem is maybe duo to the bus

I think maybe the problem is duo to the vi block! Maybe I can use single istance at times when I call the procedure

    Thank you

I just solved the problem: it was a problem with reentrancy

  • Performance IEEE 1394 Windows XP SP3 Adobe Premiere 6.0 problem

I'm trying to capture video using Adobe Premiere 6.0.  When I got Win2K installed it worked fine.  I have upgraded to Windows XP SP3 and first stopped working properly.  A clean installed Matrox RT2500 - it's the video capture card, I bought with the kit Adobe Premiere - according to the instructions, as well as first - including the 6.01 update.  Now when I connect my Sony DCRTRV520 camcorder via firewire IEEE1394 and try to capture the Hi8 video I recorded, it won't record a few frames, then stops.  Matrox video tools say that the IEEE 1394 device has stopped working.  First capture options indicate that the camcorder is not recognized.

I found a forum which indicated that the problem was with XP sp3 drivers for Texas Instruments OHCI 1394 device - indicating that the sp2 and sp3 downgraded the 1394 to S100 speed device performance.  I found an article in the database saying MS was aware of the problem and finally got that to work (KB885222) download

    http://download.Microsoft.com/download/9/0/6/906f2f67-39c4-48bc-8558-86833d4cbc16/WindowsXP-KB885222-v2-x86-enu.exe

It will not actually install on the PC I am running SP3 not SP2.  It's really frustrating because the system worked very well under windows 2000. Even worse since I have a lot of old video - not stored on DVD or transformed into films which I was hoping to work for presents for the family, this Christmas.

Anyone know of another - hotfix - download or similar which will fix this problem?

  • Firewire OHCI IEEE 1394 controller does not start

I got alert maintenance computer that does not have the firewire OHCI IEEE 1394 controller.  In Device Manager, it says that it uses no resources because of problem, I sent report to Microsoft for the solution.  No update is available. I have no problem with my printer, scanner, camera or media drive (I have HP's Slimline with Vista Home Premium) but I don't have anything that is connected to the port on the back of the computer to a cable IEEE 1394 OHCI.  This is why it won't start?  If this is not the case, this could be the cause of my computer suddenly take 10 min. Since the scroll bar display on the home screen when I turn on or do a reboot.  I am very well preserved in mode 'sleep'.  I did the Startup Repair and it was not quite successful and did a restore.  All the tests and analysis of the system run I've done show all works well except that driver!  This problem arises when I was online with 2 websites and IE or my computer froze, and without leaning on any key, mouse clicking or by bringing the task Mgr would work to clear, there therefore had no choice but to shut down the computer.  I recently uninstalled my anti-virus software and installed Microsoft Essentials, but it seemed to work very well.  I don't know if the Firewire has something to do with my startup problem either.  Of course when I'm updated to come through and they shut down my computer I have to go through the startup long long time to get the updates installed.  Should I dare try to uninstall and reinstall this driver if it will not have another problem?   Hope I was clear enough, if not please let me know and thank you.

Just so you all know - I was reading another post with the answer that has made the party to the "Fix it" site of Microsoft.  I checked it.  It provided fix for usb drivers, etc..  Thought I would try it anyway and he discovered my problem with the Firewire OHCI 1394 and fixed it.  He indicated that he reinstalled.  Phew! I'm glad I found this site.  Just in case I put it in my favorites.  Until next time...

    Hi luis098765,

I see that you have problems when you try to import MiniDV video from your camera to your MacBook Air. I see that you try to use a USB FireWire-cable to achieve this. I would suggest that you use a FireWire adapter rather Thunderbolt as a USB connection does not allow you to import the tape media in your computer. • Interface not found error when using Snap example for Firewire (IEEE 1394)

Recently, I installed a SONY XCD-SX910 in interface with Labview 8.2.  When you choose the driver, only the Legacy driver would work for the installation of Firewire (R) (or IEEE 1394).  After installing the driver, I have images of the inteface to MAX.  However, when you attempt to trace through the example of Snap 1394 legacy since the document installation IEEE 1394, I get the error "Interface not found".  I tried a few iterations to try to name the camera as "cam0' (the name given to the camera to the MAX) and" cam0: SONY XCD-SX910.  However, the error continues.

What should I name my camera so he could find the interface?  Will there be another underlying problem that is not obvious?

Control of IO is not something that will be filled when you use the Legacy 1394 driver. If you use IMAQdx as your driver, it will fill. Thus, when you use the Legacy 1394 driver, you have control of the chain on your façade. When you use control of the chain, you must set the name of the camera as "cam0" as you did before. As long as this corresponds to what is able & Automation Explorer, you should be good as long as MAX uses the same driver that you are trying to use.

  • Firewire IEEE 1394 - lost installation Pulg-and - Play

I have two firewire devices. A DV video camera and a 1 TB hard drive. Since the installation of the hard disk, I lost two of my Firewire IEEE 1394 connections.

    I tried:

1 switch the DV camera and the hard drive, but the system does not detect the connection.

    2. I visited the Device Manager and checked the unit is activated and working properly.
    3. I'm sure the device driver is fully up-to-date.

I have a Firewire connection on the front and the back of my PC, and both do not work.

I am currently using my hard drive of 1 TB via a USB 2 port.

    Can anyone help

    See you soon

    Graham

    Hi Graham EF G,.

To check the State current, the DV camera and the external hard drive not detected? The external hard drive has worked successfully before? Please also relay if there are error messages when you try to access the external drive.

If devices are detected not below are some steps to solve the problem:

You can check that both devices are compatible with Windows Vista by visiting the Windows Vista Compatibility Center, which includes a list of drivers, hardware and applications that are compatible with Windows Vista.

For reference, the link to the Windows Vista Compatibility Center is included below:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/

Then, if the external hard drive is not detected in Device Manager, please check if the external drive is detected in the management of the computer:

You can check this by going to: start then click on computer

When it is connected and switched on, the drive should appear as a drive letter on the computer (ie: drive E:, F: or another letter.) An Autorun window may also appear if the drive is detected.

If the external drive does not appear, please check the following:

    ·         Check the power supply and check if it works normally.

    ·         Check the wiring and confirm that your USB/Firewire cable is plugged into a port. You can also try a different USB or Firewire port.

    ·         Check disk management to see if the drive is detected it:

    1. right click on computer, select manage, select disk management.

    2. check the upper and lower windows to find if the drive is detected.

If the external hard drive is not detected, try to connect the external drive to another PC to check if the unit is working normally.

Then please check if Windows Vista Service Pack 1 is installed currently.  If WVSP1 is not installed, you can try to install this service pack and check if the problem still persists.

For reference, the link below contains information. about how to obtain the latest Windows Vista service pack:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/935791/

If the problem is not resolved after the above steps, please see the link which includes a fix for the problem of an IEEE 1394 being more available device.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/930495

The relay please status after the above steps so that we will offer any additional assistance.
