Illustrator CC - support

A simple question. Having signed up to CC why cant you access the version the most recent (8.1.1) of Illustrator only (8.0.0)?

It's now take more than 48 hours, emails, phone calls, texts, and a lot of frustration and still no progress, and what is probably a simple problem to solve.

Adobe actually have or care customer support - at the monment I don't think

This must be very clear before a sign up or commits to their products.

My daughter has just been put on hold by a member of the ' support' staff for 45 min

I left several messages for the New Zealand Adobe representitive to contact me - no answer

This isn't a joke - a shame

Everyone knows this inability to support their products by Adobe?

    I'm trying to install Illustrator CC (2015) through the creative application of cloud, but it retains more bombing of halfway.

    It gives me the following error message.

    I am trying to install on a 64-bit computer to Windows 7 with 16 GB of RAM and 361 GB of disk space.

    I installed Photoshop CC (2015) before this question and Lightroom CC (2015) after this issue so it doesn't seem like a problem of firewall/internet on my end. I install InDesign as I type.

    I looked around on Google but I was not able to find a solution that seems to do the trick. I tried to uninstall/reinstall and pretty much has the same error. Whenever reference is made to the folder Extras Cool and legal case. The scripts folder was mentioned on a few attempts but not others.

    I looked at running the Adobe Creative Cloud Clean Up tool but only Photoshop, Lightroom and the creative cloud to appear under individual programs, Illustrator is not listed.

    Any help or ideas would be really appreciated because I'm stumped as to what to do next. Thanks in advance for your help and your time.

  • DEVANAGARI (Hindi) in Illustrator CS5?

    Devanagari (the script for writing Hindi) does not work in Illustrator (my CS5 version anyway). Characters with points and signs (matras) vowels are evil and all the consonat combinations and spouses characters do not appear. It is really annoying because it all works perfectly with the same font (Devanagri MT) in TextEdit on Mac. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue. Thanks a lot for your help.

    The final and only solution I could find was to reset my laptop to the original 8.1 Windows build and start over. I disabled the bitlocker encryption. Ran all updates until there is no more. Then installed Illustrator CC 2014 and had no error of creation of new files. However, he had the same noise open Illustrator CC files by double clicking on the files. However, I earn open the file using the File/Open the app menu.

    Check "Disable visual themes" and "disable the composition of the Bureau.

    This will allow Illustrator to function normally in Windows 7 Pro and Ultimate 64-bit systems.

    Maybe I was able to solve my problem. I held shift when opening Illustrator and open in a bare bones mode, and then closed and reopened without getting the error message. Good luck to you.

  • Installation of Illustrator CS6 through creative cloud failure. Help?

    I tried to install Illustrator yesterday through creative cloud and the process has failed. Other components (Acrobat, InDesign, bridge) has failed to install.

    Despite not being not a COMPUTER expert, I tried to look through the newspapers, as instructed, but seriously, there is no advantage for me up all 30 error codes. (I tried a couple and it's not really easy to find the answer, unless I have paste the error message into Google!) Why Application Manager thinks it is installed, when it is down? Because he thinks that he successfully installed, there is no way to re - open the download through the Application Manager.

  • Cannot find the Illustrator after installation

    I've installed Illustrator from the creative cloud.  After installing, it appears under programs in Control Panel, but I can't find it in the folder of the Start button so I can actually run.  I ran Adobe Support Advisor and it found no problem.

  • Illustrator CS5 to crash

    Hello

    I've installed Illustrator CS5 on my Windows XP machine and every time I start it up it crashes.  When I go into the error report it comes up with the following error:

    I already had a copy of the installed CS4 trial but we uninstalled it including all components, CS5 of uninstalled, then reinstalled CS5.  He came again with the same error.

    Hi Lee,.

    Rename "updaternotifications.dll" should help you. It is found under the directory you have installed AICS5 i.e.

    {install_directory} \Adobe Illustrator CS5\Support Files\Contents\Windows.

    Most likely it happens because you do not have the rights to add a scheduled task on the computer you are using Illustrator.

    I have a macbook 15 inches from the retina. When I open the firework, it will open in low resolution. How can I chance it?

    I tried this, but it does not work.

    CS6, only Photoshop and Illustrator taken supported the Retina displays. There is nothing you can do about it. FW is a legacy application and is no longer supported.

  • The default program for .ai files is Bridge and Windows won't let me change it.

    My computer refuses to associate with Illustrator .ai files. On the contrary, she associated bridge.  Even when you right-click on a file and go to "open with...". "Illustrator is not an option.  It is especially annoying because I like to work with objects smart AI in the PS and when I go to edit a smart object, my computer tries to open it in Bridge (then what's happening, it's the folder Temp opens in Bridge and I have to hang out in Illustrator to edit.)  It is a huge obstacle to productivity, and I'd like to get this resolved.  Here are some pictures of what happens when I try to edit it in Windows.  First of all, you will see that illustrator is not a recommended as default of AI program.

    And when I go to browse and select Illustrator CC 64 - bit, it brings back me to the dialog box 'Open with' above as if I had not done something.

    I found the solution to your problem.

    The problem is that Illustrator CS6 and CC is using the same name 'Illustrator' so when you go for example CC folder and choose windows illustrator.exe already sees Illustrator was added and just jump back to the same screen.

    If you look in the folder C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS6 \Support Files\Contents\Windows (64-bit), you will see the name of the file (illustrator.exe)

    If you look in the folder C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CC (64 Bit) \Support Files\Contents\Windows you will see the name of the file (illustrator.exe)

    If you change the file illustrator.exe for CS6 or CC for example IllustratorCC.exe for the record CC

    Change the names of these for example

    If you look in the folder C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS6 \Support Files\Contents\Windows (64-bit), you will see the name of the file (illustratorCS6.exe)

    If you look in the folder C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CC (64 Bit) \Support Files\Contents\Windows you will see the name of the file (illustratorCC.exe)

    Then, you will be able to add them to the list of associated files.

    You can do this for all applications from Photoshop, first, AE, etc, are all the same
