Illustrator creative cloud without Java?

I use creative cloud and I love it. Except that I'm unable to install Illustrator on my laptop. I don't have Java installed and do not want to install it. For some reason any, whenever I try to run the version of Illustrator that the app manager installed, it gives me this message:

To open "Adobe Illustrator CS6", you need a Java SE 6 runtime. You want to install one now?

Is it possible to run Illustrator without Java? If not, I'll just use another less vector of the program, which I did for a while (Inscape, intaglio and iDraw). They are not the same, but they are the basics and don't require Java.

  1. Download Java for Mac OS X 2013-002 of http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1572.
  2. Install the update of Java by using the downloaded .dmg file.
  3. When the installation is complete, a software update dialog box appears. The dialog box States that you need Java SE 6 Runtime to run Adobe Illustrator CS6.
  4. In the software update dialog box, click install.
  5. Launch Illustrator
