Illustrator help!

Hey I created the logo below in Illustrator initially without inside the square.  This piece I attracted and mocked upward to reorganize the logo.  I'm having problems what to do inside the square whole cut as it comes to the circle.  Any help on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.  I know its probably a very simple step that I'm missing.  And side not, the dashboard just at the end of the P... it is also drawn by marker... no idea how I could do something like this in Illustrator?

Thank you guys!

Do you mean like this?

If so, then I just created another circle with a white line and arranged it behind the circle, but facing the square.

I'm looking for general comments on this software. I work for a travel agency in Louisiana and escort us hundreds of trips around the world throughout the year. We are trying to get the specific travel cards we promote on this trip routes. We found a route to another company who had a card on it, exactly as we wanted. So that the travel company referred us to a graphic designer, who said at that time, he used the creative suites Adobe with photoshop and illustrator. I looked inside and it seems that maybe what it takes. The only problem is we are a very small company and can't afford a graphic designer and have absolutely no experience with something like this.  I'm trying to figure out if it's worth the $ expenditures on this software so you have to be an expert in graphic design at work, he. When I say no experience, I mean as we know how to turn on a computer, how to work in Microsoft word/excel/power point and basic applications. Someone at - it recommendations on what we can use would not be so advanced? Or maybe an another adobe which would be a little easier?

If you're not an illustrator/designer and you have no Illustrator/designer on staff, you are barking completely the wrong tree. In fact, even if you were or had, I would say again that you think wrongly. Given your line of work, I would not even consider it appropriate for outsourcing. You really want to bear the cost and the delay inherent in making a chart of the card for each travel offer (and no doubt dozens of customer-specific changes)?

As a travel agency, you should think in terms of competitiveness, fretting not on ways to allow the generation of a bunch of specific purpose cards. Forget trying to become an Illustrator from one day to the next. Yours is a need of company internal critics. Being able to produce maps of itenerary on an on-the-fly, based on the needs should not be something that you consider same creating a continuous relative dependence to a graphic outsource.

You mentioned "of hundreds of cards." You are talking not just about graphics, you're talking about data. Illustrator is just an archaic general purpose page-design and construction manual program. It is a very inefficient tool for graphical data-dependent.

Use something appropriate. Go download the demo version of Microsoft Point Map, read the documentation and some basic tutorials. It costs about $300. You undoubtedly find valuable for your business way more than to simply an illustration of route map (which it can do). Your learning time will be invested a lot better here than in a silent drawing program. Point card is a graphical program dedicated specifically to the cards. Therefore, it is designed to interact with data in a spreadsheet or a database.

As for the latter, if your office is not competent enough already with a program database working group, I would highly recommend your also take a look at FileMaker Pro. In any business, you need a database application. FMP is immensely more affordable than the heavy and tedious Microsoft Access and more versatile and powerful, to start. For one example, which directly relates to your need:

FileMaker Pro includes a feature called a 'Web Viewer' object, which is essentially a graphic field which is used to a live web browser window. One of the files of demo which comes with the FMP is a typical contact database that contains a WebViewer. WebViewer is defined on GoogleMaps. You look through the records in the contact database, the WebViewer updates automatically to show the Google map of the recipient.

One morning recently, I was faced with a need to generate a list of the distances from a particluar address in different places about a thousand. Using this feature of basic (with a different web site) I built such a FMP solution and had the list well before the end of the day.

A working knowledge comfortable to use the Point and FileMaker Pro card at the same time would give you a serious competitive advantage over the other company if, in fact, that other company is dependent on an Illustrator help to acutally outsource for all his itenerary cards. And I'm talking about Office/trades here, not an entire career graphic learning curves.

If anyone can help I would be really grateful!

    Thanks in advance

Illustrator only has not as accurate an overview for bitmap graphics. Usually the image will seem just softer. Is the image adjusted a lot?

I suggest you print this, or do a save for web and the 100% view in photoshop.

I see that your images are screenshots, cool post you the oriignal image and tell us if the image looks bad prior to coating & envelope distortion. You can also envelope distort or deform in photoshop, which I recommend, unless you absolutely have to use make sure with the top object.

  • New on Illustrator - Help!

    Hi all

I hope someone can help me with this, it makes me crazy!

I'm new to Illustrator, been fiddling about for a couple of weeks, and now I'm working on a piece of Celtic interlace.

I wrote the plan of the route in its entirety (no fill line, black), as shown here: http://tinypic.com/r/291c194/6

The final effect I'm looking for is something like this: http://tinypic.com/r/do8eif/6

As you can see, I have more or less managed to add links on the edges, but can't with the curves. I'm sure there is a way to achieve much more precisely, but I don't know what tool/effect I'm looking for.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

For my part, you are welcome show.

I use the scissors tool to divide and organize a couple of paths, but it seems to leave a kind of 'halo' around the split lines... is - something I am doing wrong, or there at - it a way to avoid/get around this issue?

It looks more like a gap for me, or should I say a Cap gap?

    You can cheat and:

    (1) select all the paths,

    (2) modify the cap of the stock to round cap (the CAP not projecting) in the stroke palette/Panel.

  • Brushes in Illustrator - help please

I've posted about it before here http://forums.adobe.com/thread/789173

My question is the same and the suggested previously resolve did not work.
When I use a custom brush that appears now the brush that I selected in the dropdown in the brush settings pannle meun.
He continued to paint with the defult brush shape.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance

    Hi Anya

    Thank you for the screenshot.

Maybe you're getting confused on the brushes and wide profiles.

In the screenshoot, you have a way with a brush + a width profile. Perhaps what you want is just the width profiles (like calligraphic and width profile does not together). If you have a calligraphic brush, that you can not see a width profile applied.

    Follow these steps:

Select this line (this way) and turn off the brush (turn off the field where you see the oval 2pt screnshot).

You will reject the brush and working with profile width is chosen.

Let me know if it solves your problem.

    Best regards

    Gustavo.

  • Adobe Illustrator can create this kind of arts?

Hello people from Adobe, I want to draw and color fancy stuff.

Ultimately I want to draw something on this level:

http://media.Blizzard.com/wow/media/artwork/trading-card-game/series5/TCG-series5-006-full .jpg (with illustrator only, but if necessary I'm willing to switch to Photoshop)

But I want to go even further and animate such an image at this level:

Lady Vashj GIF | Create, discover and share on Gfycat

Adobe Illustrator help me to do this kind of arts? I don't have any sensitive tablet, so I choose to use Illustrator to photoshop, but I don't mind using both if which is recommended?

What is your opinion about that...

The thrust of this article is a "sales pitch" for vector graphics, based on the premise that a raster imaging software (Photoshop) is inherently more for use of a stylus and a vector program (Illustrator) is inherently more designed for the use of a mouse.

First of all, it's a false premise. The raster and vector prédatent pen tablets. I rarely use a stylus, but use raster and vector programs every day. Second, the use of a particular type of pointing device is unrelated to your question.

Consisting of (as article phrases it) "a splash of pixels," raster imaging lends itself to detailed texture. That is why it is used in photography. (It is not called Photoshop for nothing.) A vector is essentially a list of orders for forms of rendering.

But you talk more artistic style illustration original than the technical differences between raster and vector graphics. A wide range of styles can be executed to choose the type of program. Yes, raster imagery is metaphorically compared to 'paint' and graphics vector is equivalent to "drawing." But it's just an analogy, and you should not consider too literally.

Think about the foolishness of draw or paint grains of sand to a beach to draw. If working with a brush or a pencil, an Illustrator return individual grains of sand as a camera does. What he suggests a texture Sandy using nature of its medium.

It's that way with the creation of works of original art with vector raster graphics and Imaging. You use the nature of the medium chosen to suggest of things like texture, lighting, etc..

For example, go to Corel.com (I say this because that Corel is currently many examples for end-user near the root of the site) and click the link for more CorelDraw Graphics. Take a look at the combination of raster (including photography) and objects used in a single vector illustration.

Is no longer either / or. You must be proficient in both raster and vector graphic based on. Then you will discover what your particular illustration style (s) can accomplish in one or the other or both types of programs.

  • Need of Photoshop + Illustrator, would not pay for 20 + Apps I never use

My creative cloud membership is about to expire. I'm on a super tight budget, but to have the resources necessary to crank work occasional freelance design/illustration helps me a lot. Rather than let my account CC to renew in its current state and get stuck paying $50/month for the next year, I decided to look for options for less expensive plans that focus on applications less. From what I found, I can buy only Photoshop or Illustrator for only $19.99, but the only plan that includes both of them is my current plan, which is too expensive and full of unnecessary applications, I have no need. No there is no way to access only those two apps without paying more than I need? Am I missing something, or am I just screwed? I've been a loyal Adobe user for more than 10 years, but my current financial situation is a little push me out, will not lie. Any help is very appreciated!

You can put more than one cloud on an Adobe ID, provided each Plan is used not more than once per ID.

    Is your best option: photography Plan ($10/month) + one App Illustrator ($ 20 / month) = $30 / month.

  • Illustrator converts the standard file in vector file?

I have a card that I need converted to a vector file in order to expand our advertising on a vehicle either as a graphic envelope or a vehicle.  Is it possible to scan a piece of art and open it with illustrator to save in a vector file real?

You can certainly do inside Adobe Illustrator.

I did something similar several times.

If you use CC, discover LiveTrace here: using Illustrator | Trace the Image using

If you are using an older version of Illustrator, it's roughly in the same place, but you'll want to look for something called "Vectoring" instead. Illustrator help | With the help of vectorization. CS5 and previous

The most important thing about this is resolution and contrast of your image.  (The same is true if you want to use the mobile application called Adobe form).

If it is as small as a business card, I wouldn't trust him to an iPhone, Android or iPad lens, unless you have a very good third-party lens on the camera.

    1. create a scan high resolution of your business card.

    2. place the raster image into Adobe Illustrator CC

3 use the Trace of the Image (and expand) to convert the contrast and color in vector

    4. change / clean / scale.

Good luck - and post your envelope when it's done!

I'd love to see it (I used to work at an advertising agency that has made bus tours too)

  • Hello need help with the opacity mask.

Hello need help with the opacity mask. I hope someone out there can help

I inherited a logo that appears to use a Logo of OM has a shape with a grad. This grad at first sight is not used in the Grad scheme and there is not editable.  Looking at the transparency palette I find an OM (pic1) output option. If I choose what the grad on separates it from the page of the form, that is from there I can change/remove as required (Note2).

However, sometimes (he did no change), I'll be back to the same original form and output option is grayed out and is no longer available. Or I go to the similar shape that has the same treatment and I can't go out OM (pic3)

The only difference is the thumbnail in the transparency palette, which is strong in pic1 and rated on pic3. What Miss me?    I'm not clear what the advantage is simply OM using the Grad palette to apply a grad in my form, but until I can get rid of OM who is there, I can't comfortably apply to the grad I want.

The white gradient LHS I have no problem with. I choose fortunately only and each time get the possibility of release of OM.

    Screen Shot 2015-08-06 at 12.26.48.pngScreen Shot 2015-08-06 at 12.00.10.pngScreen Shot 2015-08-06 at 12.01.16.png

The other thing weird. When I select the white gradient. Sometimes, the exit option is in the palette without going through the drop-down list (Fig 4).

Other times seems not that OM has already been applied, because the palette gives me the ability to mask rather than liberation (5 photos). Until I go to the drop down and then I find Release is an option after all.

What is the difference here?   Not much of a problem, because either way I can release OM to be able to change the grad.

The file is passed through several hands and play anywhere to try to resolve issues, and many stops and save slot, so something along the line was of course done a logo and not the other because of the difference, but I can't for the life of me see what that.

    Screen Shot 2015-08-06 at 12.44.21.pngScreen Shot 2015-08-06 at 12.44.36.png

I hope someone can help. Very appreciated

    See you soon

    Dave

    Dave,

I've (mis) understanding the issues, you can account for the box to the right in the main palette transparency (called thumbnail) here.

Illustrator help | Transparency and blending modes

    represents the masking objects.

Some of your screenshots show no object mask, so it only is not really a mask even if do the opacity mask has been clicked and there seems to be one in the layers palette, wherever you look.

I think that it is perhaps the issue.
