Image of scanned pdf in Illustrator (Live tracing, colors, and fill styles)

Hello

I'm a newbie in the forum. Never my first post. I have a specific question that needs your opinion. I scanned a picture of black and white sketch I bring Illustrator. The problem after direct tracing.

After live trace, I need to fill it with a certain color (which I find the absence in the color chart).

I have to update these sketches in an Indesign brochure that already has the original imported Illustrator designs (made by someone else). If the original drawing files Illustrator imported have a knowledgeable and special chalk impression (style).

So the problem is that I don't know how to fill in the contours of the live sketches drawn with a color, then the tool in the chalk as style to it.

I need help badly... I hit a bad road block.

Thank you.

In InDesign when you place your .ai file check the Options to Import Show box in the file selection window. Another window opens after the file selection window, Transparent background is checked.

Also confirm that there is not a white shape in the bottom of your .ai file. If you click Ctrl + Y in .ai, you can view the real vectors.

  • How can I export to PDF for printing Offset, including colors and grayscale of the photo?

After reading dozens of forum, I not yet found the answer.

I made a photo album with full-colur and b & w photos for Offset print. I want to be for the b & w grayscale avoid the hues of colors possible. It seems that InDesign does not support the shades of gray, how images become dark. Even with export without any conversion of color or the destination and/or including profiles of original colors, the images are exported to obscurity as a PDF to grayscale.

How can I export to PDF for printing Offset, including colors and grayscale of the photo?

Yes, Photoshop & ID CMYK working spaces are the same

This can become difficult because 3 programs manage proofing differently.

Work spaces don't matter, document profiles that handle the preview. So here's the same image in grayscale, placed in the ID on the top and PS on the bottom. I put my info in Photoshop to display the profile of doc in the lower left corner. I can see the profile of my InDesign CMYK Document in my test format (CMYK work is different and is not used). The two profiles are actually the same coated FOGRA39 (Black Ink FOGRA in the case of the PS).

But the previews do not match because I disabled, so the preview InDesign is Gamma 2.2 or a "screen" media preview overprinting.

If I turn on overprint preview, I get a match because I'm soft proofing for printing:

  • How to activate the search function.  I get no match found when I search for words on the scanned PDF document

How to activate the search function.  I get no match found when I search for words on the scanned PDF document

A scanned document is just an image; even if it contains text, it is not searchable.

Put text in a scanned image available, you will need to perform the recognition of text (OCR), which can be made with Acrobat, but not the free player.

  • Creating a PDF file that has editable fields and replaceable images

I tried to understand how I can create a PDF file that is replaceable photos and editable text. I work for a company in which all computers have only Adobe Reader as a means to view or edit a PDF file. So far, I managed to create a file that contains fields of text editable with a custom look and feel, which is great! However, the next step was to create "fields" that can be filled by a picture. Is there a way to create with LiveCycle or any other prorgram also replaceable images.

My goal is simple: create a PDF file that has editable textfields and replaceable images. What should be done in Adobe Reader.

I use Adobe Acrobat X Pro to create this file, and I wonder if Live Cycle can help me with this problem, or if this is even possible at first. Thanks in advance.

Your goal is very simple with the LCD. Only use an Image field (important no Image) of the object library.

Any time you can click on it and select a new image.

    Hope this information is useful?

  • Optimize scanned PDF document Options

    Hello

I'm scanning big A1 documents PDFs of color and I need to reduce the size of the file and also clean the image by removing the background noise in the image but keeping the details. I used the function to optimize the older version of Acrobat pdf I had which was 7. Now, I'm upgraded to 10 these options are no longer works for me. I don't get a reduced size and I no longer get a nice white background during optimization. It seems that some essential options are missing from the settings in Acrobat 7. Background removal is set to high, but it does not work. For now I'm stuck with the help of the file size reduction except option which is not enough to reduce it or remove background noise. Can anyone help?

    Steve

It turns out that it was just a problem to scan. After I recalibrated my scanner optimization problems have now been resolved.

  • the modification of pdf in illustrator - check-in pdf without loss of quality

    Hello

I have several pdf files containing photographs unmodifiable and modifiable lay-out items. Now, what I want to do is import the files in illustrator, edit the layout and save under / re-export (?) in pdf format.

What has happened so far is photos after re-record it in pdf format became more pixelated than they were before. How can I avoid photographs deteriorate when re-record in pdf format?

When you save as PDF, choose a preset as "High quality print" that will keep the maximum Image quality. See if this helps you overcome the pixelation of the image.

HP ENVY 4500 worked fine a month previously, now don't scan pdf for MAC, jpeg only.  Also do not accept the file name.  Is there a doctor of printing & scanning HP for MAC?

Hi Maryjon , thanks for getting back to me!

    I appreciate the info.

I suggest to remove the printer from your printing system, using this document: uninstalling the software of the printer.

Once you have deleted, I suggest to check and repair disk permissions: function to fix the permissions of all utility disk drive.

I also run your Apple updates: OS x: Mac App Store apps and OS X update

After the updates, I recommend you to reinstall the series HP ENVY 4500 full feature software and drivers.

Good luck and please let me know how it goes!

  • OfficeJet 6700 scan enlarges doc in jpg format. Scan PDF is in black and white

I have a new HP Officejet 6700. My operating system is Mac OS X v8.5.8.

I went to scan a document as a jpg file and it scanned and was recorded in my computer (wireless).

The problem is that all the documents have been enlarged during the process, therefore, only about 1/3 of the document is scanned. How can I reduce the scan so that the entire document (8 "x 10") is visible in the scanned jpg?

Also note that this enlargement is not the case when recording in pdf format, but the analysis is the only black and white, not the color of my document was. The scan jpg, although enlarged, was at least in color. Help! THX.

    Hello Runmalloy,
Thanks for the post. With this one, click on the following link for some great information/options analysis including the software of scan MAC and the HP scanning software. Good luck!

  • LaserJet P2055 very slow in the scanned PDF files printing

We have three printers Laserjet P2055DN.

They have all of the extreme difficulties in printing scanned PDFs, especially of our Toshiba e_Studio 451 Copier/scanner.

The printer that I'm testing has 384 MB of ram. The OS is Windows 7 Pro 32-bit.

The drivers and firmware are later (October 25, 2010).

Each page takes 15 minutes or longer to print.

One of the printers is hosted on Fedora 13 and has the same problem.

    Just loaded on 11 February 2011 PCL6 Windows 7 32 bit driver.

    It works!

Will have to try on February 11, 2011 PS driver then.

    Yippee.

  • HP Envy 4500-e all-in-one: scan PDF

If I analyze the PDF document, I have to key in the "HP Print Wizard - Scan - PDF". Is there a way to shotener to do this?

    Hi @ekag,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I noticed that you wonder if there is a faster way to scan a PDF document with your HP ENVY 4500 e-all-in-one printer. I'd be happy to help you with this.

What I recommend that we do is to add the HP scanning icon to the taskbar.

To do this: Open file by dragging it from the edge Explorer screen, tap Find (or if you use a mouse, pointing to the top right of the screen, move the pointer of the mouse down and then clicking search), registering file Explorer in the area of research and then by typing or clicking on File Explorer. • DeskJet 1513: deskjet 1513 scan pdf

When I used to scan a document of several page to a pdf file, I could click on a + sign (bottom left of screen control) that scanned page.  Suddenly the + does not and I see only a symbol of 1: 1, which digitizes and records a single page.  How can I return to a several page format?

    Thank you, Al

    Hi Al,.

HP scanning program set scanning as 300 DPI resolution or below, any higher resolution does not scan multiple pages.

    Kind regards

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600, Windows XP, very slow to print scanned pdf

All other prints exception scanned to PDF print normal PCDFS, even imported e-mail, etc., all other types of files.

Problem occurred after problems with XP, computer tech could rectify not so copied all files and reinstalled XP, no problem with XP, but the printing problem now with my own scanned pdf.  Thanks for any help.  JLS1946

Thank you to all who responded.  I have to admit it's a tough trying to decide it's the printer, it's Adobe, is the USB connection / wireless?  Now, that's what I managed to rule out now (thanks for all the help that JLS1946 did) it's not the connection.  I went until take that to someone who is very familiar with the Adobe and they suggested uninstall/re-installing Adobe. He said you should not lose your saved work and which corrected this before.  However, not all of you use the same software or the print version. PDF files, it seems.

Knowing what I know about the way in which the information is transferred to the printer, it is meaningless for me how only a few .pdfs are slower than others.  Check the contents in the file you are trying to print and compress, when you can.   I know that the web content may take longer to process during a print job and now I have to wonder if that has no place in the commonality among all of those here.

I think the last document I ran through should have some good suggestions. Let me know if it works. One of the reasons I don't think specifically that it is the Officejet 8600 is especially because it happens to other printers like this.  The only thing you have in common is Adobe. While searching for other PDF readers, I have noticed Adobe had so many stars (3.5 stars) like Foxit Reader (4 stars) did.  I'm not the right person to defend as to who can be a better software to use however.  I know I like CNET for their reviews and videos.
