Image recovery problem

Model: Toshiba NB300-108

Hello

I lost my recovery discs that I had done with the toshiba recovery tool and also do not have the recovery partition on my hard drive.

Is there anyway that I can download an image from somewhere?

Hello

Unfortunately, you will need to order money of Toshiba

https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

or get the Microsoft Windows installation disc and install your own operating system. Then, download and install the drivers for maintaining the proper installation order:

  • The issue of reduced Image recovery?

So I tried to do a reset of my HP envy m6 - but the option is not available in the HP Recovery Manager and the reduced image recovery seems pretty well exactly the same (I have no need of trial or games) - my problem is, however, with the recovery partition.

Will be the recovery of the reduced image delete all partitions and reinstall partition recovery (and os) - because I'm fine with that.

Or do I have to specify not to remove the recovery partition?
Or not make a choice, and I can just save the recovery partition?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

    Hello

    Please check:

  • Failure of System Image recovery

My dv7 3165dx notebook PC is no longer support Windows 7.  I spent six weeks researching the issue through forums and even contacted HP support by phone.  The first action I took was to back up my files using a SATA cable USB on another computer.  Then I did a system restore.  The restoration process would be to reformat the hard drive, but could never reinstall windows aterwards.  Other research suggests that order the recovery disc for my particular model would settle the matter, so I did.  After trying to boot from the recovery discs, I finally got some error codes that suggested the hard drive has been corrupted and will need to be replaced.  I had 2 it professionals to confirm this suggestion and then explained my story to someone at HP support on the phone and confirm again once I needed a new hard drive.  (corrupted HARD drive is 500 GB)

Now I have a new herd of 650 GB drive and follow all the instructions supplied with the discs.  I turn on the laptop with the first recovery disc in.  BIOS is configured to boot from the CD/DVD.  System Image Recovery begins, asking if I want to reformat the drive and start the recovery.  The progress bar indicates the restoration of files on hard disk and makes 30% after about 40 minutes, and then a box will appear:

"Failure of the copy of the file.  Of D:\PRELOAD\BASE19. WIM C:\RM\Image\BASE19. WIM.  Press OK to retry.

pressing ENTER or ESC takes about 20 to 30 minutes more to get the same box again never exceed 30%.

I have a new hard drive and HP recovery disc and still not usable laptop.  I have read also several similar topics on similar problems but you have not found a solution that works yet.  I appreciate a lot of help.

    Hello

    You are welcome.

I've always liked to link to the site to developers for free software, but I agree that the download options are not immediately obvious.  However, as you use a Mac, there is no need for additional software - you can burn the Image file (ISO) of Windows disk as described in he following link.

    Types of recovery

Your computer can have three types of available system recovery, or he might have only two. Use the type of recovery in order to solve your problem without making further changes as necessary.
  • "Minimize the Image Recovery" since the recovery discs?

the "reduced Image Recovery" is possible from the recovery discs? Installation win7pro from the recovery disks from HP on an SSD completely wiped for Elitebook 8560p.

Not really something to see. From what I remember - was among other things - I have started from the disks and reduced has been one of the options. He didn't choose because I was doing a Factory reset for all restored partitions and laptop computer at State embedded. (I had already deleted the recovery partition & partitioned the hard drive for dual boot with Windows 8)

  • Reduced to the minimum the image recovery option still available?

I used to have a HP Mini netbook.  If I needed to format the hard drive, I would use the HP Recovery Manager program.  What made this really cool program, it's that there is an option called Image reduced to the minimum recovery.  It would be to format the hard drive, reinstall the operating system, some HP maintenance programs and the necessary drivers.  More important still, No. 'bloatware' has been reinstalled.  It was a really clean format of the hard drive.

Computers laptops HP today still offer the option of reduced Image recovery, or has that been deleted?

I don't have one of the last with Windows 8, but the loan of 7000 DV6t aged 9 months with Windows 7, I use minimized Image Recovery. I think it is a durable feature that HP makes a large number of owners such as.

  • Problem with the BLOB image recovery

We are on Coldfusion 9,0,1,274733. I checked on "Enable recovery of binary large object (BLOB)" on the database, but the picture is always cut (3/4 in part gray). On our dev server, it works perfectly, our production server gives just partly gray images. I checked the settings of CF database between dev and production, and they are exactly the same. We rebooted the server, but still the same problem. It's like Coldfusion does not see tuning changes. Does anyone else have this problem?

We have found the solution. Our production servers are in a clustered environment. You must enable "Enable recovery of the binary large object (BLOB)" at the level of the instance cluster. You will need to make this change on all instances in the cluster. I was only to 'local' level on each server in the cluster (which didn't work).

    In CF Admin:

Enterprise Manager > Instance Manager > select the instance and select BLOB

  • Satellite C660 - white screen after instalation image recovery

Strange problem. My Satellite C660D-1FM was a bunch of updates from Microsoft (did not updates for centuries as it was used by my daughter and not connected to the internet) and after completing it restarted and I got the Toshiba splash screen and nothing. Holding F8 gives the same problem, tried turning the key '0' and that was the same. Connected to an external monitor and it's the same thing. I can't get into the BIOS and everything seems fine.

Then, thinking that the HDD is maybe defective I mounted another drive hard and fully installed Win7 on a Microsoft DVD (SP1 and all updates) and everything works. Then, I thought I try and restore the laptop to factory settings by default using Toshiba DVD recovery which Id created. Worked well during the installation, all the installed DVD 3 and he's gone through the procedure installation, portable got at the end when he tried to restart it, rebooted and now back to the same error - Toshiba start screen is ok, but then he'll just empty. To convince me that I wasn't going crazy I then reinstalled Win7 my DVD of Microsoft and he moved very well, did all the updates and worked all day today with no problem.

Someone at - it an idea of what's going on?

Hmmm... something like that shouldn't happen.
Do you use the recovery disc for the first time?
Have you noticed the same result on both hard drives?

Problem is that there is not much to do about it and there is no way to change it either in recovery installation runs, or later during the installation of windows is underway.

Try to set the BIOS to default settings and simply try to reinstall the recovery image.

  • ThinkPad T420 recovery problem

    Hi all

    I need your help. I have a problem with ThinkPad T420. When I am pressing ThinkVintage or F11 to get into recovery, it loads and then I get this message below;

    Link to image

Don't know how to solve this problem, thank you!

If partitions System_DRV and Lenovo_Recovery (q) has not been resized or corrupt, R & R should work. So, I guess to upgrade/reinstall application Lenovo Rescue & recovery via ThinkVantage System Update because there are a lot of conditions to perform this task manually (eg. There are several options for deployment and language packs).

If this does not help, it could be better and more quickly to create a Lenovo recovery media, it's almost the same Lenovo recovery environment you try to start using BB or F11:
-make it from Lenovo R & R application, advanced mode, rescue media
    - or simply deploy a .iso file image:
    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Lenovo\Rescue and Recovery\rrcd

Note, in any case, it is a good practice to have this rescue media.

If you want to reset the laptop to the factory scene, do it from recovery media factory Lenovo.

  • HP DV6 3200: System recovery problem

    Hello
I have a laptop HP dv6z-3200, I got a Samsung 640GO disk, which I started to launch error message then decided to change to a new hybrid drive (Seagate 500 GB). Decided to create a USB recovery by software that accompanies the creation of recovery media compu. Then replace the old disk to the new. Checked to find errors. And connect the USB and restart the computer, I recognized the bootable disc and I opened the Recovery Manager, try to test the factory reset option and would not let me because it says that the new hard drive is smaller than the first. Then the probe the recovery option of Image reduced to the minimum, he completely all properly the Phase 1 and said that now the computer is restarted several times to continue with Phase 2 and complete the installation of the operating system. But rather than restart it gets the black screen with the HP logo in the Center and the House for hours without anything happening. Exactly the same for me test the system recovery option, it is marked in the same place and not the operating system installation is complete.
I ask you to provide me with assistance for this problem.
    Thank you very much.

    Hi @Paulo-88 .

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems, with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion dv6z-3200 computer laptop and the new HARD drive. Here is a link to your manual page 5 for HARD drive support.

SSD or HARD disk must be as large, or remain the same. You can't go smaller. This causes conflict, and he won't see the HARD drive.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

  • HP Pavilion 17.3: looking for computer Windows IMAGE RECOVERY program 10

I had a complete picture of software on my old desktop that came with the computer called "Phoenix Firstware Recovery Pro 2004". This program has been fabulous! He saved BOTH OF TIME. It's a hard disk recovery program that you can do a restore point whenever you want, as much as you want. It is similar to the Windows restore, but it affects all of the C drive. If problems occur, it brings back your computer to this day & time in time. Anything after that; is not serious.   Viruses, Trojans, Malware, Spyware, lost the wrong files, lost images, messy music files, programs, bad mistakes, window crashes, Etc is not QUESTION. It restarts the computer at this point good & all returns at the point of return. I had my computer that had started not even Windows from the BIOS come right to the top. You can access the program by pressing the key F4 to the BIOS & restore all restore points, you did. NOW, remember that anything after this point is gone for good, (eg. photos, music files, documents, programs, changes to anything.) So, we must remember what has done or changed since restore point & redo them. But it is worth gold to get this computer up without the need to restore to the day you bought your computer & reload everything back in.

I tried retrack Phoenix Firstware & can not find someone who knows what I'm talking about. I do not know if their doing even this GOLD one program similar to Windows 10. What I was looking for is a similar program for my new laptop HP Notebook. Anyone got any useful information the same day or a similar program that works just as well, if not better.

THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING & THE ANSWERS.

@RobertMcD: Sorry no one not returned to you before that...

But, what you need is a third-party imaging/restoration program known as Macrium reflect (MR).  This provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together.

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
    (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.

I've used this for years, since Acronis True Image failed me when I needed it the most need.  I have restored the machines repeatedly with it, and now the free version includes the ability to install a start function of recovery on your hard drive that you can do a restore without having to use DVD or USB.

  • Imaging T610 problem

I am currently trying a bunch of new thin clients in t61o of images. I've never worked with these models before, but I used the t5740e and t5730 models. I used the Altiris deployment solution instead of the HP Device Manager, but I never had a problem with Altiris imgaing until I had these models t610. Altiris supports WES7 and I have no problem t5740e customer light Imaging.

The problem I have amd haing is when Idistribute Altiris image created of the t610 it applies to the image without any problems, but once rebooted and the installation program starts, I always get the "Windows Setup cannot configure Windows on hardware on this computer. I have connected a dvd rom for the thin client and not started the recovery console to look at the error logs sysprep but there is no error reported in the newspapers at all. I tried to change the Unattend for sysprep answer file, but I still get the same error message.

All customers light t610 have been updated with the last update of the bios and I keep the image of the master as possible vanilla only add an application to the image. Does anyone know what could be the cause of the problem? Also if you know of anyway I can get the newspaper report this error message in detail I woould appreciate it?

I was able to get the logs and it was the EWF partition causing failure. I don't know what is different in the configuration of the t5740e partitioning gets partition screwed to the top over imgaing, but what I did was change the imaging process to be done sector by sector copy and that fixed the problem. Thanks for all the help.

  • Image recovery drive not supported by this model?

    Hey guys,.

I still have the laptop HP G62-B18SA and its "Wireless is fine under Linux now, currently got Ubuntu in Wubi installation." I'm about to get Linux fully but only as a precaution when I got the laptop I did the backup to Disk Image of the system (4 discs DVD altogether), I tested the disc 1 today and he said that the recovery disk image was not compatible with my model? Now, excuse me if I'm wrong, but I thought that the disk image is a literal copy of windows, and all drivers that have been installed, etc., how is not compatible?

    Any help appreciated.

Your recovery set should work regardless of the version of the BIOS. Do not touch the BIOS updates (are supposed to) that you have confirmed the info in the BIOS that the restoration of controls, is there. Unless the info is wrong.

While you are still under warranty, I would get this problem fixed. HP will probably send the free value recovery because yours does not (they will not send a Windows disc). If the game fails, it will require repairs, which will be expensive outside of the warranty.

  • System Image recovery files Windows displays is not in the list of files in recovery

Windows 7 Professional - to date from Windows update.

I just create a backup system on a USB hard drive external image. Looking at the USB directory for the backup watch directory that it - there is a folder with the name of the current computer.

If I then try to restore the backup on the same disk, from the control panel GUI or from a Windows recovery disk recent backup does not appear in the list of available to restore images.  Other backups of different machines that have been recorded on this disk image appear in the list!

    Any ideas?

    Problem solved.

The external USB hard drive had a backup failed on it.  If you have made a list of directories to BACK of all the backup files to image the external hard drive, you'll see all the backups but system restore image didn't show those until the backup has failed/corrupt.

Remove the backup directory tree failed then permit restoration System Image list all available external hard disk backups.

Thanks to all who watched this and helped.
