"Minimize the Image Recovery" since the recovery discs?

the "reduced Image Recovery" is possible from the recovery discs? Installation win7pro from the recovery disks from HP on an SSD completely wiped for Elitebook 8560p.

Not really something to see. From what I remember - was among other things - I have started from the disks and reduced has been one of the options. He didn't choose because I was doing a Factory reset for all restored partitions and laptop computer at State embedded. (I had already deleted the recovery partition & partitioned the hard drive for dual boot with Windows 8)

As far as I know this can be a problem now. Recovery media can be created when the laptop to factory settings. This means that available "Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator" tool and recovery image placed on the second partition.

When you move this image of recovery elsewhere and return later, sometimes "Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator" cannot find files and more.

    Hello

According to the description of your problem, the first step should be professionally cleaned. Dust blocks the flow of air and I imagine that shortly after, the critical temperature of portable erached. In this case the unit will stop automatically because of protection of the equipment.

  • Can I use the Qosmio recovery discs to recover the Satellite P750?

I have a Satellite P750 with an irreparably damaged HARD disk and none of the recovery disks. I have a Qosmio X 770, I can make the recovery disks from.

Both machines were equipped with Windows 7 and the two license codes. Can I use recovery since the Qosmio discs to load on a new HARD drive into the P750?

I realize that the drivers may be different, but if I can get the P750 operation, I can then correct the drivers.

I don't want to pay $66 for Toshiba disks, as much as other manufacturers such as Dell don't charge $20.

    No, you can t.
The recovery image is a package.
It contains the Windows system, but also the drivers and tools.
This means that you must install drivers Qosmio on Satellite P and this would make for difficulties.

  • Problem recovery disc HARD on the Satellite C660

My apologies if this is the wrong sub-forum:

The fool that I am, I changed my WIndows login and password since I use very long passwords, I don't know what I changed it to. Guessing is out of the question.

So I turned on my computer laptop while holding the key 0, what brought me to the Windows Boot Manager screen. I pressed F8 on Windows 7 for advanced options and opted for "Recovery Mode", as I've used in the past to install the operating system from scratch.

It asks me to select a keyboard layout, and then enter my user name and password to proceed to the recovery of HARD drive. It is this lack of password which is the reason for the recovery.

Any advice on what I can do?

    Thank you

    > It asks me to select a keyboard layout and then enter my user name and password to proceed to the recovery of HARD drive. It is this lack of password which is the reason for the recovery.
On this step, you must enter your login name and login password of Windows. Without correct password, you will not be able to start the installation of HARD drive recovery.

There is option to install the recovery image. You can do so now using recovery DVDs. You have created using the preinstalled Toshiba recovery disc creator?

  • Reset factory settings but the recovery disc is not recognized

I have a HP Pavilion dv6-3030sd laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium installed OA.

I want to restore it to factory settings, but is not possible using Recovery Manager, because he does not see my recovery Partition.

Since I have recovery discs, I tried to restore my factory settings using the recovery discs.

However, it is also not possible. Even after setting my BIOS (boot order first DVD player) the laptop not start using the DVD player.

Then performed several actions (eventally I still adjusted registry) as mentioned by microsoft: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060/en-us?

Still not possible to start using a DVD player.

It goes the same for USB.

I can use my DVD player and USB but I can't boot from them.

How do I restore my laptop to factory settings?

I still have my product key and I was able to record an English version of Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 as an image on a DVD.

    What can I do?

Is it possible to mount it on my virtual DVD drive (BD - ROM drive) (so the picture of windows 7 in the virtual DVD drive and then install it?)

I hope that there is someone out there who is able to help me!

    Hello

Sometimes just set the boot priority in the bios menu does not work as it should.

    Try the following.

Insert your 1st recovery disk, and then click stop the laptop.

Now on TAP the ESC key as soon as you start the launch of the laptop Boot Menu.

Select boot options ( f9 ), use the arrow keys to select the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER.  You can also get a prompt to "Press any key to" continuous - it if requested.

    Kind regards

  • Re: The recovery disc restores my important applications

    Hello.

About two weeks ago, I used the Recovery Media Creator to restore my laptop to its factory and create the 4 dvd recovery media.

I had an important application installed.
Would it not possible to recover these media?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

Do you mean the 3rd party applications that you installed after the laptop has been configured?

No, these applications are not part of the created recovery disks.
The recovery disc contains only the image of Toshiba.
The image is a package that contains the Windows system, the driver Toshiba and the tools and applications like Win DVD or similar

  • Satellite A200: Can I use the recovery disc without wiping the drive

I read the threads on this forum, but I did not come with an exact answer to my problem.

With my regular PC, I got a disc of Installation of Vista, which is also a recovery disk (like that could do with XP). One of the most useful things is that when you start from the disc you have an option to "fix" the system, which means that all the vital files (such as the bootloader...) will be restored, but otherwise all data will remain. This is extremely important when for example you install a dual boot with Linux, when often Vista refuses to start and to repair the boot loader has solved the problem. Of course it can easily and quickly fix all kinds of other problems in the system as well.

My laptop Toshiba A200 (otherwise a wonderful machine), came with the Toshiba product recovery disc. From everything I read on the forum and what he says on the disc itself, I understand that it only allows a total reinstallation of the system, set at the factory, wiping your drive and everything on it.

Toshiba really leaves us without a 'repair' option '?
I find that quite amazing, because after all, I paid for the Vista operating system, so why shouldn't I get the options I would have if I had an original Vista disc?

If all the above I have is right, it means that if I want to install a dual boot with Ubuntu and would get a bootloader problem, I loose all my data when I have to repair the boot loader? (A problem which, with the option 'fix', takes only 5 minutes to fix!).

I would like to hear reactions, solutions, suggestions or alternatives.

    Thanks in advance,
    Yossi Beck

    Hey Yossi

I think you have misunderstood something!

You received with the image of Toshiba Toshiba Recovery CD! The image contains drivers Vista OS, Toshiba, tools, utilities, and additional programs!

Please don't compare this disc for the original CD of Microsoft Vista and don t mix it!

So using this disk, you can set the laptop back to factory settings!
This is very useful because this procedure takes about 10 minutes only and you get everything functioning OS with all the drivers, tools, etc.

Please note that no all users and customers who buy these phones are technicians and scientists ;) but simply newbie and such possibility of recovery is always welcome!

but the use of this recovery CD format the whole HARD drive and erases all partitions.
That is why it s advisable to back up the data before using the recovery CD/DVDs

  • Is recovery DVDs the only disc with Satellite A200-1CR

I wonder if I had all the discs with my laptop Satellite A200-1CR, because I can't make heads or tails of the files on the recovery DVDs. Where are all the programs that I should get with the computer., and I had everything installed from the beginning. I want to reinstall windows, but I am concerned if I have all the programs like: winDVD and Norton Security and all the driver.
    Thank you!

    Hello

The Toshiba Recovery DVD is only one of the disks that came with your laptop.
On this DVD, you'll find a Toshiba recovery image that contains the operating system Windows, drivers, tools and additional software.
If you want to redefine the laptop to factory settings then just boot from the recovery disc and the installation will begin.
But note; the recovery DVDs will format the drive so HARD integer if necessary backup data.

Other programs like Win DVD or Norton Security are OEM versions and, therefore, are only on the Toshiba Recovery DVD. It of not possible to download it!

  • Do I have the recovery disc OK for Tecra A6?

    Hello.

I have a Tecra A6 (PTA60E) computer laptop and he suffered some sort of virus problem and I couldn't recover. So, I tried to use the disks of recovery (with some success), but when I reboot Xp crashes. I found that the windows\config files are not installed. I then copied the \windows\repair files, but it is not a SYSTEM file - only a system.bak. By renaming this system and move the files to windows\config XP crahses yet.

Now, I noticed that the discs have "Tecra S1" printed on them. I have the hard drives? they are the original disks, so I'm a bit confused.

    Thank you

    Peter

    Hello Peter

If you are sure that you have a recovery disc for Tecra S1, it is logical that you try using recovery bad discs. Recovery disk contains image of recovery and this recovery image is only intended for certain model of laptop.

Purchased used Tecra or it was all new laptop?

  • Is the standard Satellite A200 product recovery disc?

It is very regrettable that after reinstalling the product of my Satellite A200 recovery disc, the language is now in Deutsch. Since I got the recovery disc to the center of Toshiba for a replacement, do you not thank they will be replaced by an English version? If so will be affect the entire notebook in its performance, or perhaps a program previously connected may have disappeared or missing.

The product recovery disc is standard for the same unit of model because there is that no product key required?

SP1 = Service Pack 1. This package has been designed by Microsoft and contains all useful and patches hotfixes. All this is designed to repair the operating system and make it better and safer to be used again.

At this time you should not install SP1. It may happen that some problems may occur after the installation of SP1. Toshiba didn't start load SP1.

  • Satellite P10 - repair on the recovery disc option

My Satellite P10 crashed, which suggests an error of hard disk may be imminent, I have a recovery disk, but it doesn't have a repair option, only a full recovery. As I would like to try to retrieve some data, is there a repair option, normally associated with these discs.
If yes where can I get one?

    Thank you

Recovery disc has no repair option. Recovery disk contains only the recovery image. Try to get the facilities of Microsoft CD and use the fix here. If you will not be able to repair the operating system pre-installed as a last option, you can use the recovery disk and install recovery image.

    Bye and good luck!

  • Re: Tecra M9 - using the recovery disc

    Hello, can someone please help.

I don't have a model Tecra M9. PTM90E-05700WEN serial No. Y76875H professional XP operating system.

The problem I have is as follows - I would like to reset the machine back to factory settings, I have the product recovery disc that came with it as well as the Microsoft Office Basic 2007 license key.

Instructions on the cover of the album simply say "insert the first disc in the drive and turn off the computer. Turn on your computer while keeping the F12 key. Use the cursor keys to select the optical disc drive in the menu. Follow the who make their appearance on the screen. »

Problem # 1 - I only have one disc, I can certainly say that I have lost. instructions refer to "first record suggesting there is more than one. The disc I have is clearly marked "product recovery". There are some numbers on the disc namely - GMR400776EN0 and also SD124219 of CD.
The disc is also clearly marked Microsoft Windows XP Professional.

Problem # 2 - when I make the instructions above, nothing else that the system starts normally. I can assure you that I am pressing F12 before the opening of Windows.

I don't get the option to select anything and even less the optical disk drive. I tried several times but always the same result.

Otherwise, I've tried - using the F8 key button brings up options menu, ie SafeMode etc etc work, but nothing referring to fix the computer.

Press and hold 0 then that until the computer starts.

    Best regards and many thanks

    Hello

Tecra M9 is older model laptop so method with F8 or zero will not work.

The instructions are nothing else than the General instructions and not written for your Tecra M9 only. Recovery image is not the same for all models of laptops. They are so different with some laptops, there is a disc only, but with some models, there are two disks.

I believe you when you say you've got a disc only.
How to start recovery disc installation there are three methods:
-Start Notepad and enter the BIOS settings > change the boot order and put the CD/DVD drive as the first boot device.
-key c close several times to start laptop. This will force the optical disc drive to be the first boot device.
-start your laptop and press F12 repeatedly to enter the boot menu. Place the recovery disc into the optical disc drive, choose the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER.

Please test all these methods and send feedback.

  • What is the recovery disc include - Satellite A300?

    Hello. I have a laptop Satellite A300.
I have seen that my computer has 1 hidden partition in the first drive and another recovery file in the second disc.

    (1) what is the difference between the 2?
    (2) I accidentally deleted the file on the second drive, and now I am unable to create a recovery disc, so I need to order a new one.

What is the disk? It only installs the operating system, or it will also include some of the software came with my laptop (Microsoft works, using the camera software and so on...)

    Thank you.

    (1) it's pretty easy. The hidden partition contains the Windows recovery environment and the file on the second partition in HARD disk recovery file, factory settings or leave a picture of her.
The recovery environment is a feature of Vista, not a Toshiba. If you want to return factory settings, or to reinstall Windows, you need the HARD drive recovery function or the Toshiba recovery disc.
Here is a useful link to the recovery environment: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WinRE

    (2) the reason why you can t create the recovery disk is that you deleted the file. On the second partition in HARD disk recovery file is normally only for this image and this can also be used for the recovery of HARD drive feature. Therefore, you need to go into the advanced boot menu and select Repair my computer. But now it s too late and you can t use this feature.

If you want the recovery disc, you can order directly into a new to Toshiba:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx
The recovery disk contains the operating system and all the drivers and tools you need for the Toshiba laptop.

I m that you have right didn't look in the manual? ;)
Otherwise you all know what I told you.

  • Satellite P300 150 - need of the product recovery disc

My Toshiba P300 150 was delivered today and I mess things up. I got a Toshiba P200 product recovery in the P300. I am not able to get on the desktop, because everything was erased when I put the P200 product recovery disc in the new laptop.

I'm not able to get the recovery of Toshiba products until January 7, because the site is down.

I'm so desperate, so if anyone has the same laptop, I would be very grateful if you would be able to make a copy of the recovery of product, just send me an email if you are able to help.

    Hello!

Why you insert the recovery since a P200 laptop disk? When you get a Toshiba laptop it s all preinstalled Windows, drivers and tools.

It s a user to user forum and I think that it s not allowed to copy these disks. ;)

But you can also get a new drive to an ASP (authorized service provider). Here you can find one:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported downloads & => find an ASP.
