  I'm frustrated.  I did the upgrade of the software and now my image of the home screen is if bigger is behind the shortcuts and tricks at the top.  Before the upgrade it automatically cropped so that it was not behind these things, and I could see the whole picture.

  Hi there and welcome to the forums.

  Try to do the following.  Go to your home screen (with all the icons), then press the BB Menu key and select Options.  Under the section 'Set paper painted', select 'Change of paper painted.' reselect your image and make sure it displays correctly on the page.  If necessary, you can zoom up to the correct level.  Set the image as your wallpaper by pressing the button Menu BB again, then select "Set as home screen Image".

  That should do it.

  Okay so I recently bought a blackberry 9800 torch of my friend, its not in poor condition but it has a few scratches on it. the phone also worked well for her.

  This morning, installed an app to rename my files of music, called MTagz or something like that

  directly after the installation, a grey box with a blue loading circle sign and the word loading it appeared. I thought he'd go after a while, but long story short, he didn't.

  Ive tried to restart and turn my phone off, then on, but it won't work. If I could, I would like to uninstall the app, but my phone is completely insensitive.

  I can enter my PIN and password, but as soon as the shoes at the same time the touch screen home screen and keyboard do not work. I can also press the menu button to switch between windows, but when these windows open again I can't do anything.

  Given your procurement method, I recommend that to start here:

  Ensure that all measures are properly carried out in order to completely divorce the BB from accounts of friends and thus to be able to create entirely what you need for you alone.

  Regarding your question as stated, I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

  It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

  If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

  But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

  The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

  (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

  2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

  (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

  (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

  • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

  5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

  • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
  • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

  6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

  6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

  • Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC.

  I recently changed from seven years of Windows Mobile to BB. I am on a BES and the changes I make on the prospects to your desktop or Blackberry (Bold) are not synchronization in both directions. It's frustrating. My COMPUTER helpdesk advised me to "clean up" the BB a couple of times and we did it. Also my manager office of BB is not configured for synchronization as by their advisor who they explain everything is wireless.

  It of frustrating and makes me think how it was easy with Windows mobile. Help, please.

  Your BES admins should work on the issue of synchronization.

  For the issue of the separate boxes of Messages, see this...

  By default, BES email is made only in posts emails BIS icon/App are placed in their own icons, but they are still contained in the main Messages application. This is how it works by default. It is not redundant - rather, think that Messages like the Tote place, with the BIS independent icons being a filter, traction (from message) to them only messages that relate to them... but if you act on an e-mail (read, delete, etc.) in one, the change will be reflected in the other.

  Your BES Admin can push an E-mail BES icon only to your device. This solution is free, but must be conducted at the level of the BES server and will affect all users on the BES server.

  Or you can get the application to empower BES Inbox. This solution costs (per user), but does not require a change at the server level and affects only a single user.

  Neither solution would do anything on Messages - will continue to contain what it contains today. All they will do is activate an additional icon on your home screen that is a filter for your BES emails only. You can hide or move the Messages icon/app out of the way, but beware - there are more that just the emails that arrive in Messages... it will come a day when you have a new message indicator and only by digging through Messages that you will be able to find this message.

  Or, if you have the correct device OS version (I know for sure it works on 5.0.0.32 8 of the storm), the device gives you options for what to display in Messages and you can remove BIS email accounts.

  I've got BES both BIS working in my BlackBerry. BES has the email that I use at work. BIS has configured my Hotmail account. Both work fine, but when I tried to use Windows Live Messenger in my BlackBerry I realized that the emails of Hotmail stopped coming.

  So far, that's what I got:

  If I connect to Windows Live Messenger from my BlackBerry, from a Windows computer, or within Hotmail (inside the web browser) I no longer receive mail. Everything I do from my BlackBerry still affects my Hotmail account (mark an e-mail as read, delete or sending an e-mail using my Hotmail account).

  When I sign out of Windows Live Messenger and you receive another email, all delays and the new email come to my BlackBerry and guard mail very well until I connect to Windows Live Messenger again. I do not receive the emails delayed until I get a new once the connection from Windows Live Messenger.

  Already tried battery pull, remove and re-add the account of Hotmail in BIS and uninstall and reinstallation of Windows Live Messenger.

  Please, I know already all the love that some people have on other services of e-mail webmail (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.), which helps not at all.

  I searched the web and I have nothing, I hope someone can help me.

• Help with calendar with Outlook sync blackBerry Smartphones to all appointments will not sync...

  I'm not a great tech, but I have some skills good enough for a girl, if I say so myself... but I'm so frustrated... I need help.

  This is my first public post... So I hope that I give all the information but who will help, if I missed something, please let me know.

  Here is some background info:

  I have a BB "BOLD"

  I use it NOT on a company (network)

  I sync my bb with my dell

  Windows Vista (UGH!)

  Outlook - Version 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 Build 6001

  My calendar and my contacts are the most important reason, I have a bb

  My contacts are FINE

  My schedule is a MESS

  I have 2 separate email addresses work well my bb... For the purposes of his post, I will refer to them as

  [email protected]

  When I do appointments in my work calendar, I do one of 2 things to get all my appointments on the BB

  Plan my gmail as a participant in the designation address or

  Prior to the appointment to my gmail from my work email address

  When I make an appointment directly from my BB I do it by selecting Menu > new = my default settings of the account gmail under the 'send '.

  BB News:

  When I'm in the calendar and select > Menu.Options > calendars > I have 3 options

  Default device that has (157 results)

  [email protected] who has (429 entries)

  When I go to the Menu > Options > Advanced Options > Services > (CICAL) by default is [email protected] , it shows that I have options to select my Gmail or my .mac address

  That is the problem - it did not used to happen, and I frankly did not know that my backup was messed up so I don't know how long this is happening.

   

  When I sync with Outlook

  There are only 518 appointments that are synchronized

  I can't get the other 157 (defect of the unit) + 429 (mac) to sync with my outlook

  Can someone help me to get them all on my gmail calendar? or in my outlook so that I can then sync back with the BB

  I will not sync my bb with my mac

  Here's what I tired:

  • Yelling at the computer
  • Yelling in Spanish at the BlackBerry
  • ignoring the two
  • I stopped myself to throw both of them against the wall.

  But seriously

  I put the BB Desktop Manager to perform a one-way synchronization > bb to outlook = NOTHING only synchronize gmail

  I changed the (CICAL) to my mac address and synchronized = NOTHING - only synchronization gmail

  I am at a loss and would appreciate any help.

  Outlook contains records of 158 of the associated Gmail Calendar.

  The calendar by default folders must be cleared and restored to the associated Gmail Calendar.

• Behavior of screen blackBerry Smartphones home (BB9900 - OS 7.1)

  Maybe I'm a little confused, but I can't restore the old behaviour of my home screen, namely the functionality of the tab.

  More explicitly, in the past, when I hit the "blue band" in the top middle of the screen, it would switch between views with all applications displayed and a view with a tab "reduced" displays only one row of icons.

  Now, when I do this manipulation, I get the home screen with all the apps either a blank screen or empty (just with the image of the desktop) - which means no icon line at all!

  I'm getting just old or have I missed something?

  In other words, is it possible to restore this toggle the display between "full screen" and 'a line' display instead of just completely disappear from the screen?

  I hope I'm clear enough...

  Needless to say that I've explored the options screen, has done a battery pull and searched the Internet but I have not found an answer to this 'problem '.

  A big thank you in advance if you can provide an explanation to this behavior in the home screen.

  When you are in the home "in white" screen, you should see a small arrow ^ at the bottom, Center. Using your finger, you can drag upward to display lines 1, 2 or 3 icons. This isn't a problem, it's the built-in functionality. ~ ecm

  My Torch 9800 has developed a weird problem with the text on the home screen icon.  When I tap on it, my Office messages open instead?

  He used to work fine when I got on the phone.  The only way I can write a text is to select a contact in the contacts list, and then select send a text message to this person.  All works, but is a pain.  I'm sure it is just wrong to finger and a parameter has been changed from somewhere but where.

  Have you tried a hard reset on your device?  With the unit powered on, remove the battery for a few minutes, then replace.  See if you are then able to access the text normally.

• Storm blackBerry Smartphones and the alarm reset alarm screen

  I have a Storm 9530 with Verizon that I bought in February.  My phone works through a BES at work, but it's my personal phone.  I use my phone every day to wake up and, until last week, I never had problems.  At some point, setting the alarm on my phone started to challenge on the eve and he continued to do so through today.  For example, my alarm Wednesday was from 06:00 (the last day it worked correctly).  Wednesday night, I set my alarm to be awakened at 6:30 the next morning my phone alarm went off at 6:00, and the wallpaper in the home screen has been reset.  My alarm Friday from 06:30 was also and it went very well, but the wallpaper has reset.  Friday night, I set my alarm at 7:15, but it exploded at 6:30.  Saturday night, I set my alarm Sunday morning from 07:45 and the alarm went off at 07:15.  I talked to Verizon first Friday and they had put me on level vers.148 (I utilisais.75 with no problems) and setting the alarm continued to reset.  I spoke with a different tech Verizon today and they said it's a problem with BES pushing some type of reset on the phone.

  I'm new on display and thought that maybe someone could point me in the right direction.

  It seems that your BES profile is messed up. Can perform a backup, do a security wipe and perform a selective backup only the important things. Stay away from the options database. Download your IT Department to remove yourself from the BES, turn off your profile and you readd. Then re-enable the BES.

• Problem with home screen blackBerry Smartphones

  Recently discovered that the button to set up the grid at the bottom of the home screen disappeared.  The only way I can get must now press the bar indicator flow near the top of the screen, how the button appears at the gate, but the white screen "you currently have no new notification" that appears when I pressed first the bar flow indicator, stand behind the grid.

  However if I have a message waiting for me and I'm in the indicator feeds bar that I can not display the message.  I first have to open the flow indicator, then open the gate, then select message to open it.

  The only way to close the indicator feeds also bar when its open is to press the screen.  The buttons cancel/return and Cancel do nothing.

  Hope someone can help with this problem.

  What OS you have on your device?  Might be time for a new installation of the operating system, too.
