I am connected to the internet can not navigate

I am connected to internet but cannot browse, I can ping my router and will allow you to join my cable modem, I can even download some microsoft updates, it's both a wireless and ethernet connection. I have reset the winsock catalog flushed the dns. Whenever I diagnise the network connection, I get a message that the network connection is good, but I'm not yet view a Web page. I also downgraded to IE 7 same results. It is a hp Vista laptop it

Thank you for your reply, as I went through these three steps without success in mode safe mode with network I have only had limited connectivity instead of complete connectivity in normal mode. I made a few other control svc and concluded that the rpc service has been stopped and I was unable to start even though it had all its dependencies. I went to remove the LEGACy_RPCSS key and it wasn't there. I then tried to import this key from a backup, but he kept giving an error message. So ultimately I reformatted the hard drive and reinstalled everything and now the laptop works well.

Thanks again for your contribution

After reading your response, I decided to uninstall and reinstall the program. Thought it would be a little easier. I felt that the problenm was that the program had been damaged but hesitate to reinstall it because I downloaded from the internet several years ago and could not find the product key.  I finally found the program cisco and the location of the key and now works. Not as sexy but effective.

  • Unable to connect to the internet, can't update firmware

HP Envy 110a (D411a) printer all in one

Installed and set up, everything has gone well and works. Tested on Win XP, Vista, Win 7 64, Apple laptop, iPhone 4, all prints wireless or USB. Now for the problem: it works on my home network, but it does not connect to the internet. Some applications only will be running, or the update of the firmware. They all say that I must be connected to the internet to continue. However, I was able to install ePrint and go to the website of eprintcenter.com, add my printer and see the status. He said that everything was good. I had to do this by using the internet, but why my apps does not nor will not update the firmware? Is it possible to download the firmware and install it via USB? I have a computer repair company and have had many problems with HP wireless printers. I don't recommend any HP product to my clients. But I was impressed by the look and quality of envy, and HP felt could repent of their sins and finally build a quality product. The property is everything printing wireless with little effort works. The bad is picky about the internet. Anyone have any ideas?

    GOOD NEWS!

I apologize to HP. Yes, they repented of their past sins! The 110 is a great printer. I love the size, color and weight (heavy) of the printer. It seems very professional. The style looks more professional than any printer I've seen to date. All executives would like this printer. All the features now work as advertising. How do I solve this problem? I went from a Netgear router gigabit to a D-Link gigabit router. And then reconnected the radio wireless to the new network. Then he just started to work. I know that the Netgear is always a good router, but something deep in the default settings must have caused the HP does not to work.

I don't work for HP, nor do I own their stock. I highly recommend this printer for serious users.

  • I can connect to the internet, but not to my home network

I have a PC running Windows XP SP3, which is connected to a Linksys WRT300N router. I have access to the internet. I can not connect to my home network; don't know what happened. all (3) computers are set to the same workgroup name. I can't find anywhere in the network settings for WinXP that relates my network name. Help!

Thanks for any help you can provide.

    John

I guess that the other two computers are working properly and that it can network together and that the only problem is the XP machine.  I'm also assuming that this problem persists when the firewall was disabled (including hidden like the one in the Cisco VPN client).  I also assume you mean by "is no longer connect to my home network" that you can't see other computers in your network neighborhood. See if this article helps you:

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

What is the brand and model of your laptop?

Thank you for details on the issue.

This problem can occur because of incorrect network settings or Windows store and app corrupt files.

Question of store and applications for Windows, I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.
