• Replace different values in different cells

  I'm new to LabVIEW and work with a tool that retrieves its settings in an Excel file. I need to change these settings in Excel using LabVIEW. The Excel file is formatted as .xls (97-2003 version). The PC has Microsoft Office installed 2013.

  I'm using LabVIEW 2014 (64-bit).

  Task:
  I want to change the values in 3 different cells in an Excel worksheet and save the workbook (not save as).
  The main vi is saved in the library in the zip file, it is called 'change the 3 values in excel.vi '.
  The excel file is fixed separately.
  I don't think that it matters where these cells are in the Excel worksheet, Excel memory seems to remember the selection of cells in all cells but replaces the value with the last mentioned in the last under vi.

  Problem:
  (1) any change of cells to the same value that I set in the third sub vi.
  (2) Excel wonder SaveAs and does save not only on the existing file.
  (3) the Excel application is not closed, but I can't understand why.

  Please advice. Help on all these issues is highly appreciated.

  Here is how I could do this.  I would use the Report Generation Toolkit (which is included in LabVIEW 2014).  This example is a simplified version of your task-you are given the name of an Excel workbook to change, the index of the worksheet to be used, the cell address Excel (in format Excel, for example, A1, for example) and the value of the cell that you want to insert here.

  

  The first function is the new report, which is a slight misnomer, as we use it as 'Report to replace' wiring on behalf of the State existing and specifying that we hear an Excel report (it opens Excel - if you don't want the workbook to be visible, open it reduced).  We then call get Excel spreadsheet (which is not necessary if we use the first worksheet...).  We use Excel table easy to put the value of the cell in the Excel cell chosedn.  To do this, we first use Excel Excel get a location to convert, say, B3, line/column indexes (B3 = 1, 2) and this group in a Cluster.  We also need to convert the value of the cell in a table 2D what we do by passing through two functions of table build.  Then save us report to the file using the original Excel workbook path and finally alienate us report goes out Excel.

  If you had multiple cells that you want to update, I would like to consolidate Excel cell and cell value in a cluster, build an array of clusters, then put the Excel easy table function in a loop, and do the updates one at a time.

  It should work very quickly - the whole process should take a fraction of a second.

That is my family name of Page 1 is filling in another area more later in the application on page 17, where I'm supposed to add an account number. The fields are related so I if I change one, they both change. What is happening about 20 + different cells with different texts / information.   They threw the form creation process. Probably copied and pasted the form fields without renaming, obliging to have identical values.

  Report this problem to them and request a corrected version of the file. If you have Acrobat you can rename the fields yourself (if the file is not secure).

• Substitutes for image swap?

  I want to put a set of thumbnails on a page, so that when the mouse is over a corresponding enlargement appear to change when the mouse is over an another miniature.

  I managed to get this working with the behavior of the image 'swap' of DW, but I wonder if there is a better solution.

  A particular problem in the 'swap' image is that all large images must have the same report of the height and the width as the image of start they get deformed to match this dimension.

  I followed a description line how to swap images (mouseover) for a hypertext link. The article said that swap images work better if the images are 'appointed' which is one attribute other than the name of the image file. I was able to appoint the first image, but I've never had a window which allows me to name the image swap. The substitution effect works fine, but I want to follow best practices if the swap image must also be named.

  Just name the image of the trigger. Select the trigger, apply the
  behavior, find and select the incoming image (by file name!), and then click
  Ok.

  I created a div with the swap image behavior. But when I have to scroll through the options click on a certain go I do not see the image because the page back. I have to behavior click the swap image and swap image restore right-click. How can I avoid this?

• Bearing with image swap - how to change the cursor?

  I have a simple page which is just a series of slices of a photoshop image jpg. One of the slices is an image of a button, and when wriggle on, I have a behavior "on mouseover, swap image" applied and "on click, go to the url. I'd like the cursor to suddenly change hands, but it does not work. I'm not very familiar with the coding side of things. I do it all to the design screen. Does anyone know what I need to do to change the cursor? Thank you!

  In the behaviors window choose onclick, onmouseover and of .  That will bring the hand up. (She will wrap your image in a tag).  You may also add this css:

  an img {border: none ;}}

  to get rid of the blue border which may appear around the image.

• Bearings without an image swap

  Hi there - I would like preamble saying that I already have a good amount of research on this topic with no result and I use the pool of shared knowledge as a last resort before I handcode all just this in CSS.

  I wonder if I can implement some sort of effect of substitution for my site in fireworks without a swap of the traditional image. Rather, I just want to change the background color of a div (or what will be a div after that I have cut it and export all CSS/HTML).

  I hope I'm explain.  I guess that, normally, I would do something like -

  }

  Does make sense? I would basically Fireworks to set up automatically instead of considering it a reversal of the image. I'll have to handcode this? Not a big problem, I was wondering of fireworks offers this kind of compatibility.

  For now, the only way, using Fireworks CS4, export an effect of substitution using div and css tags, is to use the 'Link' to the HTML of the common library (only of the text). You must change the exported more css file to get an effect like the change of context.

  I can ' t find examples anywhere of how to do a swap of the image on a flash form.
  
  Here's my situation: I have a form with a hidden field that contains the recordID database of an image or text. Beside that, the image will appear as a cfformitem type = html or as an image of cfinput type (put in place so that the click of a button has no effect). They are awarded by default as recordID = 1 and image src is an Apple.
  
  Then I have an iframe, showing a large number of photos (on the form). The user will click on a picture and it will then insert the recordID of this image in the form (that part works) and it will change the image in the form of one that has been selected.
  
  It would be like to choose an avatar from a list of hundreds and get the preview to display the form.
  
  As I said, I can get the text field to change. I need assistance with the image.
  It is not practical load all the images in the form because there are hundreds of them, and they only charge from a chosen category - that's why I use an iframe and I am relying on javascript to pass the values selected to the parent form. I can't just understand the path in the DOM to get the value of images.

  Thank you all very much for your help. In the meantime, I found a tutorial at www.communitymx.com to swap images with a menu of rerouting. However, I had to also Exchange related text in a text field at the same time. I managed to work on the party by myself (see code below). It is probably not the best way to do it, but it works. There also preload images.

  By the way, Mick, is the simplest code for work I've come across. Thank you.

  The code I used was included in a model for a test auction on eBay and works very well. Okay, it could probably do with some CSS control.

  Here's the code I used. As you can see, I used the TITLE attribute of the tag OPTION to populate the text field with the text required.
