Images batch trace + ignore white

I'm trying to define a macro for batch vectorize png to svg vectors, but I'm stuck at the action of the trace function. Illustrator will use the default preset, how can overwrite the default preset OR create an action using a custom pre-configured with 'ignore the whites' enabled?

I use illustrator CS6, but I also tried with the 2015 version. I literally spent hours looking for a solution online, I can't believe a program costs a lot of money may not even do something as simple as images for tracing guide all ignoring the white-_ - why is it so complicated to do something as simple as this?

You're right; It seems not to be possible. Action saves any settings of vectorizing the Image either. I say this as a feature request/bug.

  • Fill holes "ignore white" after Live Trace/Expand

I'm relatively new to the function of trace Illustrator CS4 but have been using it a lot lately. When I place a Photoshop (shot on white background) image by using the function of trace with the box "ignore white" checked, he did a good job of hitting the bottom. However, after I develop the track to create a vector image, I'm often left see-through hot spots on the object itself. When I try to choose a hotspot to fill it with white, I can't select it. Normally, you would use the direct Selection tool to select a specific path but the 'holes' cannot be selected. The only thing I can think of is to place a white "patch" behind the object. Other simple ideas out there? Thank you!

First - before you can change any object LiveTrace, you must develop the work (object > Expand or develop reliable).

The paths created in LiveTrace are drawn transparent. You need to free the transparent traces (object > compound path > release). All the default paths is the fill color of the original. Select the tracks you want to color and fill.

You can avoid this by ignoring is not white when you draw. After developing, use the direct selection (open or white arrow) to select the white background and delete. If you need some of the remaining white areas is transparent, you can now select these and their surrounding components and create transparent traces.

Another way, even after the expansion of the work, would be to use the LivePaint tool. Select the illustration, choose the tool LivePaint convert LivePaint object (object > LivePaint > make), then fill the need.

  • Is it possible to ignore white space when exporting PNG files. Not the background / work plan

I have icons, which have white features, mask the other lines to create my icons. Instead of me will expanding the traits and then using pathfinder to create transparent traces to finally create a fill black "single", is it possible to simply export and ignore white? Is there a script that would exist? That would make my life so much easier.

    sBDN2fB.png

Ignore the white on the smallest sprocket, but white on the cotyledon is necessary for the icon. To make this work, I would usually expand all items and use pathfinder to create my forms. It is a bit tedious doing lots of icons. I would like to know if there is an easier way to do it.

    Thank you!

Make sure that 'White' is in the Swatch Panel, then choose white as "Transparent" and "8-bit" PNG in the color table.

Or you can rework your works of art to be truly transparent.

Or fix the PNG in Photoshop.

  • How to select the pieces of my image in black and white?

How to select the pieces of my image in black and white? FOW example letter J or the circle or the two together?

    jaguar_growler_blur best8.png

It's actually pretty easy, but I have to assume that you know a few basics in Photoshop

    (1) open your existing image

    (2) double click on the layer and the 'layer style' appears. In the mix if area set the sliders so the whites in the image disappears

You will be left with just the black elements in design

    (3) duplicate layers

    and merge them together

    to give a standard layer

    (4) ctrl or cmd click on the layer to select and create a layer mask

    (5) you now have a mask of the image. Duplicate the layer, click alt or option, click on the layer mask to call

    (6) the blacks and the whites are not completely black and white for the use of levels to adapt to the absolutes

    (7) now you have to decide what you want to select. In this case, I chose the lettering and simply covered everything else to the top with black. You do this by lasso selection and fill and items when it's delicate brush just the details with a black brush "hard." .

    (8) at this stage, you can do what you want you have a layer mask. So you can color the text for example

or place in a background color and apply a layer as Beveling effect

Hope that makes some sense. It is much easier to do than to describe.

  • InDesign - type display images appear black and white and grainy

Please help! I have scoured the internet looking for a solution to this problem for many years and were generally able to work around it so far.

A bit of background first: all the images are recorded as a dish, .eps, CMYK, 300 dpi (about 6 inches square), with clipping paths. All images are created from the same Photoshop file (working model) - photo of a single bucket on a white background, with an existing clipping path. Illustrator illustration is placed in this file and distorted to create images for the various products that we manufacture. (Rather than photograph each bucket with a tag on it).

    Issue 1:

What seems to be completely random, sometimes square or re-related images in InDesign appear black and white dotted with images (typical display). I used to get frustrated with it, but since I couldn't find a solution, I usually ignore it because the "high quality screen" works very well.

Two of these buckets below have been created since the same file photoshop, the same day, saved in the same way. The two shown here in typical display.

    Screen Shot 2015-11-17 at 11.54.26 AM.png

Even buckets again, both the 'high quality screen '.

    Screen Shot 2015-11-17 at 11.54.41 AM.png

    2nd question:

Now, I create a new InDesign "Data sheet" model for our products and each sheet will have 3 buckets shown. Because the buckets are white, I add shadows laid and Interior to create the deep shadows. I want to be able to create a Standard model, given that several designers in our Department are going to access it and when they create a new datasheet, all they need to do is add a link to the photos of the bucket for the new product (which will be created from the photoshop, existing model) and drop shadow/inner shadows everything remain the same.

On the images that become black and white grainy (3085 above), the effects are applied to the colored areas of the buckets, no not the path of clipped bucket.

This screenshot below shows two buckets to high quality screen. I've selected two images and try to apply the same exact shadow, but as you can see on the left is almost ghost image of bucket. The two images have the exact same clipping on them. Help, please!

SPE is no longer recommended for use with InDesign format. Because these files have some content vector and raster, save it as a Photoshop PDF and see if it helps.

  • background image stops repeating leaving white areas in my top banner page

I have a banner built using three images. One to the left, the right image, and a third which should tile between the left and right images.

In IE, it works very well, in Firefox, it stops tiling and leave a small area white when displayed on the very wide screens (mine is 1920 x 1080). He thin tiles on smaller screens of width.

    The site is www.shophutchinsonmn.com

The cell with the ditch does not have a background image. To confirm, try this:

    (1) display the Console high Web page by pressing Ctrl + Shift + k

    (2) add borders to cells in the table by pasting this code and press ENTER:

    document.querySelector("table").setAttribute("border","1");

    (3) resize the window between 1400 and 1450 to open/close the gap

    (Note: seen on a screen of 1600 x 1050)

  • Could not watch television and the images are black and white on Qosmio

    Hi, live Saudi Arabia
I have problem with my TV Tuner. When I scan the channel it is find frequency for some channels, but cannot look at them!

also when I try to capture using model-SVIDEO color balck & white that I try to use PAL nothing changed
    And thanks for the help

    Hello

One question; Did you purchse the notebook in your country?

I guess that the black and white image appears on the TV. Am I wrong?
This can happen if the TV doesn t s-video or if the s-video option is not enabled on the TV.

In addition, I would recommend to check the version of the driver installed tuner.
Then go to the page of the Toshiba driver and check the version of the tuner driver.
If the new driver is available, so please download and install on the Qosmio.

  • calculate pixel intensity in an image in black and white

    Hi all

First of all, im new to labview. Now, this question may have been asked before, but I'm not quite sure. OK, so I have an avi video that can be allocated by 50 images. I used imaq threshold and a loop for to put a threshold in each image, which makes them black and white. What I want to do is to calculate the percentage of area which is highlightened as white. I thought that I can do by calculating the total number of pixels that have an intensity of 1. I know the black pixels are 0 intensity and I also know the total number of pixels in each image. I tried to use the function to quantify but I couldn't get the desired effect. Then, I tried to use imaq light meter, but still I could not the exact number of pixels with an intensity of 1, only the mean value and the standard deviation of the pixel. I can probably calculate the area that is intense using these two values (mean, st.dev) and simple statistics, I think, but I need more detailed results. Is there a way to get the total number of pixels with intensity of 1 in a black and white setting? Sorry if this question has been asked before, I could not find that a related. Sorry for my bad English as well. Waiting for your answers.

    Thank you very much.

The problemwith gregoryj code is that it converts to a table of Boolean number, not a number, the value of this number depends strongly the position of values in the table that are True.

Once you have the array of pixels in the black and white image (all the values 1 or 0), just use Array Sum to get the number of 1.

  • Custom with a background image button had a white area around it

    Hello

I have a screen with a black background and I am trying to add a custom button with a background image on it. But the custom button has a white border around it.

Is it possible to remove this white border or black?

    Thank you

Is the custom field button only focusable, or do you see it too when she does not have focus? Try drawFocus() substitution if it is only when he has developed there.

  • Sequences of images batch transcode

Someone at - it a good way to transcode a series of sequences of images in batches? I send first shots with a beauty artist who needs to work in DPX image sequences. I get back them, but they don't necessarily as gently on my system (due to them being uncompressed) compared to ProRes material.

I want to run them throughout the Media Encoder, but it seems that I have to manually add each of the 40 shots one at a time.

After effects has a way of self-invited for the order of the day after you import who makes at least a little more fast, but there is no easy way copy those in the SOUL the way in which you can copy between AE and PP project files.

For example, advice on the batch a bunch of image sequences? Could go just use Resolve.

    Thank you!

If you want to open the folder and drag the 1st image of the image sequence into the window line, just do it and then start the queue - when I do this with sequentially numbered JPEG files, if I bring you the 1st image of the image sequence not window queue, ME will understand that this is a sequence of images. Try it-if this does not work, or you want to just drag the folders, in the video you did, you drag files to the wrong component.

You want to drag them to the Watch Folders pane.

And once you put them in with the correct format and destination place, game preferences to auto-start ME coding records:

  • Transparent image shows with a white background

    Hello

When you try to use a GIF with transparent background as a model, it is important with a white background.

I created the gif and transparent background in export for web use in Illustrator and make transparent white (I don't know if it is a particularly uneducated way of doing this, I learn).

Thank you very much for any help, I am at your mercy

    Hi Benjamin,

Try this: AI, save your transparent GIF in a graphic library (in the windows of the file menu), and then in the model, you will be able to select the image by tapping on the icon of the chart (then my libraries) and the image that you saved in AI will appear correctly in Comp.

  • Photoshop - new Images are black and white only

I'm working on a wallpaper and I import the background and I'm going to hide the logo until the inside of the outline of the logo is an image. I'm looking online for some good photos test and see what I like best. I uploaded a photo and the colors were only black and white. I thought that maybe something was wrong with the picture so I had another image, and the same thing happens.

I have found something like this but desaturated colors, although not all black and white. My proof Setup is: work CMYK. I do not think that I have never changed it, so I don't know if this actually caused this problem. I don't know exactly all the settings in Photoshop so if you describe something like change a setting, it would be very appreciated if you told me where he was, etc.

    Thank you, fofana

    Hi Coler

You have chosen as the Image Color Grayscale > Image Mode

    Change it to RGB/CMYK

  • Image processor freezes, ignore video files?

I try to use the Image Processor to create a copy of my photo directory but in size much smaller and more low quality. As a shrunken super backup, basically.

It does exactly what I want, but it keeps freezing on a regular basis. He'll do a few dozen photos then freeze for a minute or two. At this rate, it would take hours just to the part pause, not to mention when it works. I get a "loading" cursor, but otherwise, the program is not responding.

I tried set to 4 and 7 GB of ram. I have a lot of scratch disk space. My computer seems perfectly capable of handling, an i7 4770. I tried a few times, but he keeps doing.

Is there something to see on it?

    Edit:

I think it's to hit the video files and those that are just time consuming. Of course, I have no use to convert a video to a jpg file, is it possible to ignore certain file types?
