• Is it possible to ignore white space when exporting PNG files. Not the background / work plan

  I have icons, which have white features, mask the other lines to create my icons. Instead of me will expanding the traits and then using pathfinder to create transparent traces to finally create a fill black "single", is it possible to simply export and ignore white? Is there a script that would exist? That would make my life so much easier.

  

  Ignore the white on the smallest sprocket, but white on the cotyledon is necessary for the icon. To make this work, I would usually expand all items and use pathfinder to create my forms. It is a bit tedious doing lots of icons. I would like to know if there is an easier way to do it.

  Make sure that 'White' is in the Swatch Panel, then choose white as "Transparent" and "8-bit" PNG in the color table.

  Or you can rework your works of art to be truly transparent.

  Or fix the PNG in Photoshop.

  I'm rather new on Illustrator CS2 but I had a plan to take it in png (with transparent backgrounds) images from Photoshop and then using the function of trace convert them to vectors. I would then export them into Flash in the form of swf files. (I and AEP are huge.) Or maybe I'm missing something) everything worked fine until I noticed that the swf files had a white background (like when you save a transparent psd as a JPEG and png not.)

  Found the solution - after doing the Live Trace in Illustrator CS2, click on the white background object and go to the menu Select > same > fill color. All your white object selected, press Delete on your keyboard. Export as a .swf. Import in Flash and you have a vector copy (with a transparent background) of your .png image bitmap to play with. A 'vector png!

  I am writing a script to browse the files in a folder - I need to put, trace, expand and every race.

  Don't know what exactly you're after, but: tracingOptions has a Boolean features, you can use, otherwise you could browse the pathItems of each point tracing once expanded and apply a line directly with whatever attributes you want. Hope that something turns out to be useful for your efforts.

• Using variables to get the answers to the questions of fill-in-the-White

  Fill-in-the-blank questions, to provide answers. I want to provide these in the form of variables (user-created), rather than in the form of fixed strings (so, as $$ var1$ $ and not as 'Rabbit'). I could not get this to work. The variable input function is available (in the properties panel), but it does not in fact (i.e. even if you select a variable to be entered, it is not actually automatically registered).

  Is there a way around the problem?

  1. NB containing the same question for text entry boxes (rather than fill-in-the-blank questions). If I could get this works for text entry boxes, I'd use questions these rather than fill-in-the-white.

  2. a peut use variables for the answers to the multiple-choice questions. So I hope I can make it work for fill-in-the-blank questions as well.

  That would be my suggestion. I don't have a blog, but using BER of for this kind of questions me as well. And unlike the widget/interaction, that I've mentioned before, BER is an interactive object, which means it can be validated and that there may be a score attached to it. But, it will not help you, since you have to add the correct answers in the same way as for a drop-down list in the issue of the FIB (they are the sorts of TEB). And it is this list that does not enter a variable rather than a fixed sequence of characters.

  This means that you are into stocks advanced, identical to that of my blog posts with the widget/interaction.

  The idea is to use another interactive object that can have a score. Actually, I use two instances of the same object: a score of 0 and one with score of X and show the right according to the conditional action.

• Satellite L300 PSLBGE screen turns white after a while.

  I * model Toshiba Satellite L300 PSLBGE * and I have never seen this problem before.
  I use my laptop since last year in fact my laptop screen turns white after spending some time on it, usually after 10-15 minutes...

  sound also stop here and the only solution is to reboot, after that reboot it still works well, but after a while once again its screen turns white.

  Hmm have you tried to reinstall / recover the laptop to see if it helps to solve this problem?
  In my opinion you should try it because it could be a problem in the system.

  Otherwise if new system installation / restore does not help you, it could be a malfunction of the equipment.

  No, look at the length of the word "- select -" which is more than 6 characters. Put the biggest word on top of the list (will set the size of the box). I sometimes add spaces before the word force Captivate to create a larger area.

• for answer fill-in-the-white blinking cursor

  Is there a way where I can make the cursor flash in fill-in-the-white response at the start of the slide? It is not that big of a deal for users to click on the fill-in-the-blank text box and type their responses, but I just try to make things more user friendly. I read that I can change the order of storage if I have a textbox, but since I was on a slide in questionnaire (fill-in-the-blank) I am not able to change the order of storage in the timeline panel.

  I'm trying to define a macro for batch vectorize png to svg vectors, but I'm stuck at the action of the trace function. Illustrator will use the default preset, how can overwrite the default preset OR create an action using a custom pre-configured with 'ignore the whites' enabled?

  I use illustrator CS6, but I also tried with the 2015 version. I literally spent hours looking for a solution online, I can't believe a program costs a lot of money may not even do something as simple as images for tracing guide all ignoring the white-_ - why is it so complicated to do something as simple as this?

  You're right; It seems not to be possible. Action saves any settings of vectorizing the Image either. I say this as a feature request/bug.

• Live Trace image loses quality in After Effects

  I created an image using vectorization and saved as a file ".ai". I thought that save it like that would have the same quality in After Effects. However, the image of After Effects seems pixelated. I apologize if this is not enough information to solve the problem, but I'm still new to both programs. Attached are two images and that of After Effects to Illustrator.

• Live Trace to use Alpha .png Boundary Object

  Hi, I'm happy on trace and export objects traced to .pdf, then After Effects... great thing, independent vectors of the resolution. Now I have the case, I need to create an arm (part of body) where I need to fill the area of arms, while the area around the arm is to shine through. So far, everything that was black Trace/simple tracing & white, white was shine through (White Ingmore) ok... I have went ahead and hidden the out around in Photoshop and exported / imported a .png transparent surrounding arms... which is pretty transparent like image in Illustrator too. But is it possible to use this info alpha for the function trace to determine the bounds of the object, while having the white areas in the meta arm? I played a little, but not found a solution yet...

  Selection in Photoshop to load of the alpha channel.

  Go to the paths palette and create a work path, setting tolerance as tight or loose as you want.

  Copy the path and paste to Illie.

  Remember that paths copied from Photoshop are composed, so help them by giving the way a color fill very well so that you can easily see and delete the unwanted 'holes' if necessary. If there are no holes in any security, you can release the compound and colour as required.

• Windows becomes white after the start

  I have windows vista. When comp. after windows startup, it takes about 2 min. then scren goes white with arrow always on the screen. If I pull up the Task Manager, it rises and I can do a few things, but not much. System Restore does not and if I try safe mode it just stops about 1 min after the start.

  Then to restart the Explorer after trying all of the following

  • Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and choose Task Manager
  • In the Task Manager, click the file menu and then click new task (run) and enter explorer

   

  If you cannot start the Explorer at all

  • Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and choose Task Manager
  • Under the processes tab, click Show processes from all users to elevate to administrator
  • In the Task Manager, click the file menu and then click new task (run) and type cmd

  I use illustrator cc 2014 to draw a jpeg image. After tracing, I want to change the color of the resulting image. The default color after tracing is black but the color of picture fill shows like an exclamation mark and when I change the color of the entire artboard gray towers no matter what color I choose. I know that the document is in CMYK mode. We know what is happening here?

  Read the manual on transparent records, groups and all kinds of hierarchies that Illustrator can create. Then learn how to select things.

  If you want to make this easier, you can also take a look at edit > edit colors > Recolor art.

  Also: read the instructions on how it works. You need to "unlock" black and white to recolor.

  I wonder if anyone can help. have never used a forum before bare with me if I don't give all the details, but the basics are as follows:
  Windows update two days ago and since then freecell, solitary and lonely spider are black and white.  Mahjong, purble place etc. are fine colors and graphics are ok.
  put online to update the graphics drivers and computer says that all drivers are up-to-date.  also turned windows has on and outside and checked freecell etc. on games and uninstalled and reinstalled. no luck. "computer is a dell desktop computer and is about six years old, but I regularly updated and try to"keep a tidy ship.
  I hope someone can help
  or if I've lost games can I download a version of freecell, who has an option to restart game

  The system restore solved my problem and after that I had to do it AGAIN today, I went to Windows Update and changed the settings so that the updates would not automatically download and install on my computer.  It is certainly a problem with one of the Microsoft updates.  I just hope that they recognize that one and let us know as soon as POSSIBLE!  I'll be very selective on what updates, I am hosting in the future!
