• RV180W PPPoE does not connect

  I am located in the United Kingdom that uses PPoA for ADSL broadband. I use a Modem ADSL2 of DrayTek Vigor120 to act as a bridge ADSL and PPoA to PPPoE converter. It passes the requirement of authentication ADSL (and subsequent single IP address) to the Cisco Small Business RV180W sitting behind the Draytek.

  However, the RV180 (Firmware Version 1.0.0.30) may not be the PPPoE connection.

  I tested the modem, adsl username and password by creating a PPPoE interface on my computer and that connect directly on the modem of Draytek. The computer receives the expected IP address and I can ping remote public IPs.

  I entered the username and password in the profile of PPPoE,

  Type of authentication: CHAP (confirmed by ISP, but I also tried all other options in case where).

  Type of connection: stay tuned.

  MTU size: 1400 (also tried by default, which worked OK on the interface of the computer).

  MAC address Source: Use Default (I have used successfully to modem/router so a 'fixed' MAC address is not necessary).

  The status display shows Information fair, WAN as "not yet connected.

  The ISP sees no attempt authentication to their end.

  Is their anyway I can get a text list of parameters of all recreational vehicles? I wonder if the name of the PPPoE profile or other information is passed through to the Draytek, as well as the user name and password - Draytek require that NO other communication gets transmitted to it during the authentication step. It's the only thing I can think of.

  It there's not much feedback by default to debug otherwise (or is there something that I missed for debugging?).

  PPPOE software th whole arrangement never worked well from the first day more than 10 years regardless of the operating system.

  So most serious DSL carriers actually give free Modem/Router so that authentication would be by the side of the router WAN.

  They give it for free for phone support for this problem cost them more than the $10 adds the router to the Modem

  For example, get a router, simple routers in the United States are sold for less than $15.

  Router solved the problem PPPOE provides, security with NAT firewall, and stream DSL is actually faster than with authentication of software.

  Howdy... I think that my router is fried.  Unable to access this router wireless.  Wireless name appears on my PC (an office, 1 HP laptop HP) 2, but none connects.  Wired connection does not work also, but I can't connect to the internet if connected directly to the cable modem.

  Do I have to reset everything (page of the router, etc.) ... or it is fried.

  If it was just question wireless, I'd understand reset of the router.  But its also the wired connections does not, so that's why I think its something more sinister.

  OK - I think I found the solution to the intermittent wireless connection.  Changed the channel on the 2.4 GHz from 6 to 11, and I did have a problem with the WiFi since (typing wireless now).

  OK, finally I got it back working again:

  -format the HD and giving him a short name ("external")

  -Reset by webUI

  -flash

  -new reset by webUI

  -new configures the router

  I managed to share the same directory ftp and external drive, which is the directory root named "external".

• Router E1200 works not - error 3005 (and network does not connect by hand)

  I am trying to put in place a new monitor of N300 E1200 and am not having any luck. Using the Cisco Connect ends with an error in step 'Validate the connection' each time, telling me:

  Error: 3005

  An HNAP call to the device failed because the HTTP connection was broken.

  (If it is relevant, the serioal number, type of connection and IP (WAN) all happen as "unknown" in the details of the error).

  I am able to set up the router manually via the access by web browser. I can name the wifi network, set up security, and even see and authenticate to the network of my devices, however, no connection is available when it is connected. (The internet connection is good - when I move the incoming cable between the router and computer, I instantly have access - so perfect this post)

  I also tried all the basic steps of reset and restart all involved several times, but I always end with the same result - 3005 error in the application configuration, then on a manually configured wifi network that seems to be working and can authenticate devices, but does not include any internet connection.

  I am at a loss at this point - here someone has any advice? Thank you very much for your time and input.

  Then you must configure PPPoe in the router, unless your ADSL modem is already acting as a router and not the PPPoe.

• Port forwarding does not work on EA6900

  Please help me to know what is the reason for this port forwarding does not work on my Linksys router:

  Model: EA6900 v1.1
  Firmware version: 1.1.42.161129

  I've set up two ports: TCP 22 and 8070 TCP to 192.168.1.10. (192.168.1.10 is up and running, I can reach the LAN ports).

  Yesterday, I had a live chat with Linksys support we tried to re - download the firmware even, but that did not help. Then factory reset and reconfigure the router did not help either.

  Unchecking "Filter anonymous Internet requests" and disable uPNP didn't help either (they have been suggested in similar topics).

  However, the IP displayed tab troubleshooting/Diagnostics reflect my external IP address (the IP displayed by http://whatismyip.com), which is weird, because I never have IP from my ISP from 100, that is displayed on the Diagnostics tab. So I guess it's a fake display or it relates to access to my router via www.linksyssamrtwifi.com ?

  Anyway I tried the two IPs from the outside, but the transfer simply doesn't work. (It works fine when I use my old router TP-Link).

  Sorry guys, it seems indeed a double NAT problem. My ISP can detected MAC address change when I started using EA6900 (thinking that I couldn't not need public IP?) and since then he sends me IPs for NAT - ed. It is strange that the same day, he was working with my old router, but now it is even not working with my old router and not even working when I connect directly to my windows PC to my ISP (via PPPoE). I called their support line and they said that they will solve this problem within 72 hours. In any case, thanks for your help!

• WAG200G as bridge Mode does not wok

  I have a WAG200G Modem ADSL Annex A, with the latest firmware.

  I recently bought a Linksys E2000 to upgrade my wireless n, as well as to obtain 4-port gigabit Ethernet Ports for my SIN.

  The problem is, I put WAG200G "bridge" mode, and since I've provided in E2000, PPPoE, credentials (username and password), it does not, no Internet connection!

  Normally, with the WAG200G, PPPoE credential is defined as following (and it works)

  Type: PPPoE

  Multiplexing: LLC

  Virtual circuit: '0' for the VPI (0 ~ 255) and "33" for VCI (0 ~ 65535)

  Option "Keep Alive".

  E2000 router, PPPoE has no option above for me to choose. Field of user name and password only

  You disconnect the connection on the WAG200G until you try to establish a new connection to the E2000? Some ISPS have strict policies allowing only one internet connection active at any time. In this case, if you do not remove the old connection your ISP "locks" your username for this connection. If you don't disconnect the connection should expire after a few minutes or hours maybe.

  Try this:

  Make the connection with the WAG200G PPPoE. Clear the option 'Keep-Alive '. And then in the State of the WAG200G page disconnect the connection. Click on 'Status' in the top menu to verify that the connection is disconnected. Now, reconfigure the WAG200G in Bridge mode, connect the E2000 and attempt to establish a connection between the E2000.

  You can also try to connect the computer directly to the WAG200G in Bridge mode and establish a PPPoE connection on the computer. I guess the computer will have the same trouble connecting under the E2000.

• Toshiba Equium L40 - 10U Wireless does not

  I recently updated my Toshiba Equium L40 - 10U to Service Pack 2 for Vista and now my wireless does not work. I tried to update my driver - but its already been updated, checked for updates - all installed, ensured this driver has been activated. Yet I still can't wireless to work, I don't know what to do now!

  I checked my network connections and my wan (PPPOE) miniport is disconnected when you try to connect it comes up with ERROR 815. Then I have to make sure that my internet connection options were correct - do not establish a connection and do not allow the proxy server and still get this message.
  My BIN is Realtek RTL8139/810 x Family Fast Ethernet NIC (do not know if this is useful or not) I tried to turn it off then try and turn it back on? But do not know if that would improve the situation or not.

• Logitech Vid does not connect

  WRT610N Version 1 Firmware 1.00.03 B15. Vista x 64. Webcam Logitech Orbit AF running Logitech Vid link tanks that when I remove the router of the network. When I reconnect the router, the connection fails. Vid needs ports 9000-9005 for UDP traffic. I therefore set up simple Port Forwarding for 9000. No change. I have configured the Port Range Forwarding ports 9000-9005. No change. I set up QoS for ports 9000-9005. No change. I have reset the router and restore the configuration. No change. Logitech Vid still does not connect. I looked in the Forums about this, but there is no discussion on this one. Please notify. Thank you!

  Thank you! It's the best way to start, and I executed everything before I started this thread. The following did finally work, but the explanation needs confirmation. After some research, I went to the Administration: advanced features: SIP ALG: and check the radio button for people with disabilities. I read that SIP of Linksys functions can cause checksum errors in SIP packets. Which can be seen in Wireshark, but checksum errors are visible after the action above, hence the need for another test. Among all the upgrade and coordinate reboot and restart it, by clicking the off button is the only action that makes the difference. I also removed the following experimental port configurations I tried earlier: configure ports 9000-9005 in Applications and games. That's what I see right now.

• Wireless modem does not work

  Whenever I try to connect to my wireless card, I end up with the same message every time and even when I try to connect it does not work.

  No matter what I do, I can't connect wirelessly to the network. I have wireless to apple but the modem I bought recently is supposed to come with a Wi - Fi connection, but it doesn't seem to work.   Have you checked the balls (or even activated recording) for any information that might help identify the problem - please do it and then post it here.

  It's really hard to tell if it is the card or the modem (or whatever) without these diagnostic information.  You have any other computer connected to the modem and do they work?  What is the manufacturer, brand and model of the modem AND the network adapter AND your computer?  What version of Vista are you using?  Do you know anyone with a wireless card, you can borrow to test to see if it works - then we will know it is the card or the network card settings or device, drivers firmware or software.  I re - download drivers, firmware and software for the modem and network card (by ensuring that they are applied to your version of Vista) and see if that helps.  Are you sure the card and the modem are both compatible with your version of Vista http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/ - please confirm that provided on-site or with manufacturers (or both).

  The modem is equipped with a Wi - Fi connection or you would not have got the error message you posted.

  You can also try to contact your ISP technical support group and see if they can help you set up the equipment.  There may be an incorrect setting that they will know how to set the right to use it on their network.  They can also help you set up and verify all settings as you go along to make sure everything is just right.  The word is mine frequently and almost always help me.

• iPhone 7 more buttons outside does not

  I've had my iPhone 7 + for about 2 weeks now. Every once in awhile all buttons outside to stop, volume up/down, power, home. The home button will still record and push and give the sensation of taptic and touchID works. The phone itself still works and I can answer texts and which do not use notifications.

  I just experienced the same problem on my iPhone 7, I think it's a bug in iOS, but I am using iOS 10.0.2. Power + button low Volume allowed me to turn it off then turn it back on... Apple please fix this bug!
