I have problems with images in Internet Explorer. Here is the screenshot of them:

As you can see, a white frame appears around the image. (I added alpha channels to my images) How can I remove the border?

Add this to your style sheet:

an img {}

border: none;

    If you use extensions (Tools > Modules > Extensions) as NoScript , Adblock Plus or Block Flash that can block content, and then make sure that these extensions are not blocking content.

    Reload Web pages and ignore the cache to refresh potentially stale or corrupt.

    • Hold SHIFT and click reload.
    • Press 'Ctrl + F5' or 'Ctrl + Shift + R' (Windows, Linux)
    • Press 'Command + shift + R' (MAC)

    Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the start safe mode window or make changes.

    Hello

    Looking for help from someone more qualified than me with some menus spry.  I have problems with background images don't show is not for some of my items menu in Internet Explorer.  Safari and firefox seem to accept it's ok.

    Here is a link to the menu: http://www.scottbrownwebdesign.com/beta/HTML/index.html

    and here is a link to the spry .css: http://www.scottbrownwebdesign.com/beta/HTML/SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarHorizontal.CSS

    I know that these are the elements that have the drop down or the side of the arrows.  I can't have two background images that I can?

    Thanks in advance,

    My first thought...

                         display: inline;          f\loat: left;          background: #FFF;

    Try declaring the background-image here as well... where it says not to mess with unless you know what you are doing.

    I'm just guessing though. If I had more time I'd look into it further but I do not.

    rgrds Paavo

    Hello

    You can use the value of the column hidden as the link text and url link.

    That lets spawn you the link text and link url. Witch you create not sure if there is not image.

    And combined with the protection of session state, user cannot forge the URL and get in to the target page.

    Or put on the JavaScript page to run when loading the Page

    $("img").error(function(){
            $(this).parent("a").remove();
    });

    This will remove the link anchor for broken images tag. I'm not sure it works for all browsers.

    I have add this to your example.

    Kind regards

  • Preview in Internet Explorer problem

    If I was building a Web site using CS6. So far so good, but problems arise when I preview the.

    The site is exactly what I wanted to Dremaweaver Live View and Google Chrome. But in Internet Explorer, there are a few problems;

    (these problems do not occur at the same time, they occur in a different version of Windows, but using IE)

    1 the bottom of the Web page is not fully displayed. There should be a < div > footer that can be seen in Live View and Chrome, but not in Internet Explorer. It seems that you print something and it just stopped at halfway.

    2 in my Web page, there is a flight path images that light up when your mouse moves over them. A border appears around the image in Internet Explorer, but not in Live View or Chrome.

    Any help is very appreciated. Thank you

    It turns out that my parents had set the text size in Internet Explorer at the 'bigger' as a result of the footer

    cannot be seen. Once changed back to 'Medium' footer
    is visible again. So the first case is resolved, but still thank you for the advice given.

    Just be aware that others besides your parents will also want to use the largest value. If your layout of the site stops when this setting is selected, then you might want to reconsider the layout. Increase the size of the text by a tick in Safari on my Mac causes the footer to drop below the lower part of the screen without a scroll bar.

    I suspect you can do two things to eliminate this problem:

    1. remove the overflow: hidden style (why do you use that?)

    2 remote control style max-height (why do you use that?)

    Two of these styles are applied to the div #container.

  • Why Tumblr images are not displayed, but they do in Internet Explorer?

    Mozilla has already admitted that leaking memory prevents images from multiple sources. Well, if I open Tumblr, not all the images it displays. Some simply lead to links by saying: "Access Denied", and some have simply even a URL there; There is no indication that an image is there at all. The Tumblr Windows more than I have open, the worst problem, and more each page takes to load.

    These problems do not exist on Internet Explorer 11 at the same time, looking at the same pages. Images load and display when an image is not available, a broken link icon. Something is very wrong with the image handling in Firefox 38, such a serious problem that threatens the usability of the program. When I can't get the images for books on page "Scary Go Round" of John Allison, but they instantly appear in Internet Explorer, then there is a problem quite serious here not adequately. I think you should look into this and quickly. Such, Firefox is broken, virtually useful. It is not usable for any Web page with multiple images.

    I'm spoiled at the office, as the page load all 22MB in about 11 seconds (depending on the Network Monitor of Firefox Web Console - attached screenshot section). I don't know on a normal connection it takes less than a minute to download that amount of data.

    I use the NoScript extension, so a few scripts that could possibly slow down to the bottom of the page are blocked by a load, including scripts of Radar data, scorecard research and Google Analytics.

    If the suggestions in the response of cor - el do not help, could test you mode without failure of Firefox? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

    Does not work if Firefox: Hold down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox.

    If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

    and OK reboot.

    Two scenarios: A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).

    Any difference?

    The homepage in question is just a jpeg image called index.html in the main directory. The jpeg or 'home page' is accessible and comes up correctly in Internet Explorer. I check on a desktop MAC and a Windows 7 laptop. Yet once the home page is a single file.

    Hello

    have you done a Windows Update? Would be useful, as otherwise I suggest you remove internet explorer, download from microsoft with the mozilla and reinstall.
    But my opinion: IE7 is not worthy of the sentence then, just remove the IE and stay with Firefox, it s my humble OPINION the best browser (it s free) and my feeling is that firefox's IE more flexible and faster then.

  • When printing a web page using Internet Explorer, the printed document is a mirror image.

    I have HP Officejet Pro L7780 and Windows 7 64-bit operating system. When I print a page of a Web site that is in PDF using Internet Explorer, the printed page is a mirror image.  If I print the same page of Firefox, the page prints fine.

    Also, I recently put my husbands computer so he could also print to this printer via the network.  When I printed an email on my printer from a computer, it is also printed as a mirror image.

    I assumed that you helped the mny users, that's why I waited long before I asked again.  Thank you.  I assigned added another printer driver using your instructions.  It worked.  I'm now able to print correctly.  Thank you!

  • INTERNET EXPLORER 8 32 bit & 64 bit ICON IMAGES IN THE taskbar

    Why not do the 32-bit & 64-bit Images different icons for Internet Explorer 8 in the taskbar when pin them us to the taskbar of the two different program files directories (version 64 bits in Program Files, & in Program Files (x 86) 32-bit version)?

    In this way, we will do it know what version of IE8 we enable when you click on one of the two ICONS IE8 (32-bit or 64-bit) by going on the Internet.

    For example, some software are still 32-bit development stage and need to be addressed by the 32-bit version of IE8, until they are ready for the 64 bit version, like Adobe Flash for example.

    I agree that would help a little difference in icons. However, placing the cursor on the icon should tell yoou who he is. The 64-Bit Version says 64-bit while the 32-bit Version only says IE.

  • Why do images not display correctly in internet explore

    On some websites, I get an icon that is displayed instead of the image that is supposed to be there

    Hi KeonLeaf,

    Thanks for posting your query in the Microsoft Community Forums.

    After the description of the question, I understand that the images are not displayed correctly when you use Internet Explorer on the Windows 7 computer.

    Websites that were designed for earlier versions of Internet Explorer may not display correctly in the current version. However, you can often improve spotted a Web site in Internet Explorer by using a new feature called compatibility view.

    I suggest you to refer to the help article and check if it helps.
