Hi, when I woke up this morning, Imessage I have a list of maybe 20 messages in Chinese from unknown numbers. I changed my apple ID password, which will be enough or should I do something else to ensure that they can no longer access it?

Use this feature with any Mac, iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch that satisfies the requirements of continuity system. Make sure that your devices are configured as follows:

    • Each device is connected to iCloud with the same Apple ID.
    • On iPhone, go to settings > Messages > Send and receive. Make sure the Apple ID at the top of the screen is the same Apple ID you use for iMessage on other devices. Add a check to your address, phone number, so that you can be reached by both iMessage. Do the same on your iPad or iPod touch.
    • On iPhone, go to settings > Messages > transfer, text messages, then choose which devices to send and receive text messages from the iPhone. A verification code and then on each device. Enter this code on your iPhone.
    • On Mac, open Messages, and then choose message > Preferences. Click accounts, and then select your account from iMessage. Make sure the Apple ID shown here is the same Apple ID you use on other devices. Add a control to your phone number and email address.

  • Apple ID/pirate iMessage. Messages sent to China. What should I do now?

Today, I received an alert that my ID Apple had been used for sign in a MacBook Air (I don't own one), a very strange name.

Shortly after, I went into my iMessages and seen this activity:

Did some research and discovered these were all indicative Beijing sent. This is the message that was sent:

I immediately changed my password, but now I'm worried, maybe I need to do anything else to the security update. I use the portfolio to apple and other features that have highly sensitive information, so this type of hack makes me very nervous. Are there other actions that I take, and someone else had this or something similar happens?

Have you read the first message from Apple?

.. . If you do not sign & trust someone access your account...

... go to appleid.apple.com and change your password.

It is always best to avoid trusting any unsolicited message, but Apple seems to have been legitimate (at least the "apple id" address is correct).

Looks like your password has been found or guessed, since Apple ID accounts often have details of credit or Bank attached I would get back immediately, also check your other accounts online - especially if you use the same password anywhere else.

  • pirate iMessages!

Apple I am so angry right now!

My iMessages got hacked very early! I woke up to the following email:

    Dear Sir

Date and time: September 18, 2016, 12:03 AM PDT

    Operating system: OS X 10.8.4

If the information above sounds familiar, you can ignore this message.

If you have not recently connected to an iMac 27 "with your Apple ID and believe that someone may have accessed your account, go to Apple ID (https://appleid.apple.com) and change your password as soon as possible.

The hacker sent a load of cramp text messages back to back different numbers associated with Beijing, China. I went immediately, changed all my passwords and reset my iPhone and Macbook.

Is not not a feeling to know that this just happened, Apple set! What do guys out there? We pay a load of crap of money to stay safe, and I can't even depend on my iMessages stay private, not a low life sending the text of my iMessages to people in China!

  • Worry not that my account was hacked, or my stolen device found once more.

I received an email from auto to Heathrow Airport has sent to my email from Apple yesterday, account while at the point I was in Asia. It's either my hacked account, or a long lost ipad/iphone/computer laptop is turned on.

Do you know what email address to Apple I can contact to find the device that got connected and received the email from Heathrow Airport?

    Thank you.

    Hello, N.Dingo.

It seems that you are affected by a message about a stolen iOS device. The following Knowledge Base article provides information and additional links regarding the protection of your account and your tracking device:

If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch is lost or stolen

If you lose your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch or think it might be stolen, these steps may help you to find and protect your data.

If find my iPhone is turned on, you can use it to find your device. If find my iPhone isn't on, change your passwords and the report of the missing device.

If you find my iPhone turned on your missing device

You can use Find My iPhone to find your device and to take additional measures that can help you recover and protect your data.

    1. Login to icloud.com/find on a Mac or PC, or use the find my iPhone app on another iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
    2. Find your device. Open find my iPhone, and then select a device to see its location on a map. If the device is nearby, you can have it play a sound to help you or someone nearby to find.
    3. Activate the Mode lost. Use the lost Mode, you can lock your device with a four-digit coderemotely, display a personalized message with your phone number on the lock screen of your missing device and keep track of the location of your device. If you have added maps to pay Apple to debit or credit, the ability to make payments using Apple pay on the device is suspended when you put your device in Mode lost.

  • Report your lost or stolen to the local police unit. Law enforcement could ask the serial number of your device. Find the serial number of your device.
  • Erase your device. To prevent anyone to access data on your missing device, you can erase it remotely. When you wipe your device, all of your information (including credit or debit to pay Apple) will be removed from the device, and you won't be able to find it using find my iPhone. After you delete a device, you cannot follow him. If you remove the device from your account after you delete it, locking Activation will be switched off. This allows someone else to activate and use your device.
  • If you use the sharing of family, any family member can help locate the device missing by another Member. Check your member of the family connect you to iCloud with their Apple ID, and you can find any device associated with this family sharing account.

What to do if your iOS device is turned off or offline?

If your missing device is turned off or offline, you can still implement this Mode lost, lockor remote wipe. The next time your device is online, these measures will take effect. If you remove the device from your account while it is offline, pending actions for the device will be cancelled.

How to disable or cancel lost Mode?

You can disable lost Mode by entering the access code on your device. Alternatively, you can disable the Mode lost on iCloud.com or the find my iPhone app.

If find my iPhone is not activated on your missing device

If you do not enable find my iPhone before your device has been lost or stolen, you can not use it to locate your device. However, you can use the following steps to help protect your data:

    1. Change your password on Apple ID. By changing your Apple ID password, you can prevent anyone to access your iCloud data or using other services (such as iMessage or iTunes) from your missing device.
    2. Change the passwords of other internet accounts on your device. This might include email, Facebook, or Twitter accounts.
    3. Report your lost or stolen to the local police unit. Law enforcement could ask the serial number of your device. Find the serial number of your device.
    4. Report your lost device to your mobile phone service provider. Your carrier can deactivate the account, preventing the use of data, texts and phone calls.

Find my iPhone is the only way that you can follow or locate a lost device or missing. If find my iPhone is not activated on your device until missing, there is no other service from Apple that can find, follow or flag, otherwise your device for you.

Thank you for reaching out to the communities of Apple Support.

    Kind regards.

  • IPhone hacked, how to deepen the control of location services?

So my router, mac and iphone got hacked, more than likely by the FBI.  They were investigating a person in my building, but it has proved to be a dead end.  Apparently, they decided to illegally monitor me.  My location service is initially resembled the image as an attachment, with the error message of the filling.  Now, I can't even access the tab "Location services" because it is faded and I can't draw in this.  I would like to get information from my phone to apple because I am sure that my phone has been violated by an iMessage randomly that I received.  Any ideas on how I can have apple examine how he missed their OS 9.3 on my phone?  The other problem is that I'm in Puerto Rico, where there is no apple on the island store and I won't be back on the Mainland for some time.

I also sent the screenshot of iMessage in question to the [email protected] but did not receive an automatic reply, so I don't know if apple never received.  In any case, to check if it has been received?

Unless you have jailbroken your iPhone, it could not have been hacked away. There is no way to "violate" an iPhone via a random iMessage. If iMessage takes you to a link that asks you if you want to install a profile and press 'Ok', there are a limited number of things that anyone could join. To check this, go to settings > general > device management and delete everything that you are not familiar with.

    Hello

There is an app Messages having an iMessages account.

In fact, it may have a Hello 'Account' AIM, Jabber and Yahoo, not to mention the many you can have.

One of them could be the cause rather than the iMessages one.

    These: -.

    NSInvalidArgumentException

See if the data of one kind or another in the past between the app and other places he works with.

In some cases, the 'reason' may include a reference to something being 'null '.

In these cases, this may mean that the Contacts App has no listed correct My map, in some cases, this means that Mac user account name and my card Contacts do not seem to match.

Can you be specific about which .plists you deleted.

Some with ichat in the name refers to the functions most basic application which have been there since the app was called iChat.

For example, it might be the sort of friend order if you have AIM, Yahoo or Jabber accounts.

This Yahoo have released a new version of their Messenger which seems incompatible with what they had before.

It seems to stop the Messages application entering this account.

I don't think that is the question here because I don't have this problem myself.

Can you remember if you changed anything in the Messages recently?

Present themselves as one or more individual items contact lists?

Changed a State Message to a buddy list?

Changed the "conversations of beginning of" setting on the iMessages account?

  • IMSG hacked account, sending a lot of international text in current bill

So yesterday my pirate apple account (connected from a unknown macbook) and I noticed someone was frantically sends many messages from my phone, images which got also sent as normal text to an international number. After noticing, I quickly changed password. Checked my mobile BT phone bill, and he had already executed a bill for all these messages sent to international numbers. The appeal of BT until you see what they can do and they just said, you will have to pay for the Bill and that was that.

What to do about this? my password was normally good security level and don't even know how he hacked. How would stop it doesn't happen because it looks just like any time I could just be landed with a massive Bill. Fortunately, I noticed pretty quickly this time, so the Bill does not accumulate to something that would be unfeasible. But with the telephone companies want to help at all, it seems extremely unfair!

  • All my messages on my iPhone were mysteriously deleted after I restarted - is it possible to sync my old backup iPhone with my iMessages on my Mac?

    Hello!

This past weekend, I noticed that my Messages app acted strangely on my iPhone 6. Accordingly, I turned and turn it on again and noticed that all of my posts have disappeared. I then did a hard reset and turned on - still no messages.

I have my settings to keep my messages forever, what really saddened me to see all of my messages disappeared. In any case, I'm about to restore my backup iPhone on a new phone (6 s). Luckily, I backed up my phone the week last before my messages disappearing.

I understand that when I restore a backup, everything that happened on my phone since will not appear. However, I have also the Messages on my MacBook Air app, when kept all my messages before and after the mysterious disappearance on my phone. Once I have perform this restore, I was wondering if it is possible to synchronize in any post-restore on my laptop to my phone messages.

    Thank you!

    Hi masizh,

Congratulations on your new iPhone 6 s! I understand that you want to synchronize the restoration of post messages on your Mac Messages app to your iPhone 6 s. If these are the iMessages, your new device needs to load the entire conversation once you send or receive an iMessage from the recipient. SMS messages may not work in the same way, however, you can contact your operator for support with text messages.

To continue to have your Mac with your iPhone SMS sync, don't forget to implement continuity with your new device.

If you have an iPhone, the SMS that you send and receive on your iPhone may appear on your Mac, iPad, and iPod touch as well. You can then continue the conversation from any device is closer to you.

Set up SMS and MMS messaging

Use the SMS and MMS messaging

To use this feature, simply start conversations as usual in the Messages application on any of your devices. Alternatively, you can start a conversation by clicking a phone number in Safari, Contacts, calendar, or other applications detecting phone numbers. All your incoming and outgoing messages on all your devices.
