  Well, I have an old G4 400 mhz. wanted to start after years, but... broken HD (a 30 GB one). Fortunately years ago, before put my G4 at rest, I made an image of the HD with OS 9 Drive Setup Utility. I then put a HD (60 GB) work in the machine and was about to start to restore the system from the .img file when... I know that I don't know how to do it!

  Restart the computer from an installation CD of Mac OS 9 or car, mount the image, drag - copy its content on the internal disk, open the system folder it and then close it. If the disk image was scanned to restore Apple software, you can use it instead.

  I am producing a Blu - ray .img file, which I already did some time with no problems.  This time, compressor will be released the .ac3 et.264 files, but not the .img file needed.  I have tried both a FCPX 'Send to compressor' and "part in Master file" in ProRes as an interim step, nothing helps.  The project is 2h07m in length and compressor is the calculation of the transmission speed to fit on a single layer BD - R (25 GB) as it should (around 21 Mbit/s on average bitrate).  I use encoding in two passes and maxed out settings.  The original file has chapters.  Code assets out to 21 Go to the fichier.264 and 190 MB for the ac3 file, so everything should be fine.

  The compressor process takes about 7 hours to do and I'm at the third attempt, it's getting old!  I can do a test with a smaller file (to save time) with the same parameters and process, and it will work.

  Any idea?  The last FCPX and MacOS solve this?  I was hoping can project before upgrading the computer.

  Oh dear.  I went to the pane 'Complete' to see if an error could be found but there not, labor was listed as successful.  I tried the 'Reuse' button and restarted the process.  As the coded assets were still on my computer, compressor used as-is without having to restart the whole encoding process.  He proceeded to finish the job of Blu - ray in a few minutes, then displayed the appropriate, .img file which works fine, menu, chapters, and all.

  Of course, I am happy that the work to be done, but I'm not happy with Apple for such bugs.  I do not use Windows for some reason!

  I bought windows 7 pro upgrade (from starter), downloaded and saved the file. The next step was to burn the .img to a dvd file, the only problem is that I have a netbook without a dvd drive. I was told to replace the .img .iso and put it on a flash drive. How can I do this? I tried to rename the file in .iso, but there an img file type. I can't download the file again, I tried, too.

  Hi, no it can't unless you want. In your computer, you should find a folder named "Creative Cloud Files", if you save your files here they will be sincronized, otherwise it will not happen.

  Not sure, what do you mean by executable video file, assume you mean play on a DVD player.

  You create an image file to DVD in iMovie, FCPX etc... This allows the correct coding and the structure files for DVD, s / BDs.

  Be aware that you need a R/W drive mounted/Secretary for the contextual elements appear. If you have a Blu - ray image, you need a BD player. Your file must be less than 4.7 GB for single DVDs faces or ~8.2GB for the DVD DLs. to 100GBs for quad layer BDs.
