    Hello world

    I am an intern and I never work on DB before. I tried a lot of time on the internet but I have not found a solution that works for the moment.

    I am running Windows XP 32 bit, Oracle 11 g (11.2.0.1.0)

    I'm actually trying to import schemas with datapump on my local DB .dmp file. My boss gives me a .dmp file from her computer and I put it in a folder (C:\datapump) on my computer.

    I have already created "user" on my DB and a record "datapump" on my DB to.

    I tried: impdp username/password SCHEMA schema_name DIRECTORY = datapump DUMPFILE = ext_file.dmp =

    And I have this error:

    What stage have I missed? A I forgot something to do before the import?

    I do not know if I give you all the information on my application so tell me if I forgot something.

    Thanks and sorry if I made some mistakes in English!

    Do something like this:

  • the impdp error: ORA-02374: conversion error loading table

    Hello

    I'm trying to convert the WE8ISO8859P1 character set AL32UTF8 using expdp/impdp. for this I first convert WE8ISO8859P1 WE8MSWIN1252 in source DB to get rid of the data "lossy." I created new (target) database with character set AL32UTF8 and nls_length_semantics = "CHAR" and donated all the tablespaces as source DB with auoexend. I took a full export (expdp) source DB excluding the TABLESPACE, STATISTICS, INDEXES, CONSTRAINTS, REF_CONSTRAINT and imported using impdp to target DB. I found error below in the import log file:

    ORA-02374: error loading «SCTCVT» conversion table "" SPRADDR_CVT ".
    ORA-26093: size of the input data column (44) exceeds the maximum input size (40)

    I checked with a select query on the two DBs with inferior results.

    Source D:
    04:58:42 SQL > select count (*) of "SCTCVT". "" SPRADDR_CVT ";

    I think that, if you change your column of the table length CONVERT_STREET_LINE1 this help you.

    alter table "SCTCVT"."SPRADDR_CVT" modify (CONVERT_STREET_LINE1 varchar2(50));

  • Impdp error number of bytes is greater than the limit of varchar2

    Hello
    I have a problem migrating data to a database with Western Europe of characters to a new database with UTF-8 Charter game. I know that this has to do with certain characters using more then one byte in a UTF character database. But as I have a varchar2 column is configured with 4000 bytes as limit and imp reports error as some lines exceeds 4000 and real need is 4009 byte that is not possible as varchar2 limit is 4000 bytes.
    I need to identify the lines that exceed 4000 bytes.

    Change the data type is not an option.

    Anyone has any ideas on how to identify the lines beyond 4000 bytes, or someone at - it a query that allows you to query the environment with all of the above lines existing 3980 bytes in this column?

  • User header imported successfully, Impdp import the same user has: b getting object exists error

    Hello

    My scenario

    In our database of prod, we have user A that I recently imported A user in the Test database

    Now I need to import user A user B in the same Test database but get error object exists

    ORA-39151: Table "A.Table_Name" exists

    ORA-31684: Procedure 'A.Proc_Name' exists

    My impdp syntax is the following:

    Impdp USERID =------"/ ACE sysdba\ ' DIRECTORY = DATA_PUMP_DIR DUMPFILE = A.dmp EXCLUDE = USER LOGFILE = A_TO_B_imp.log

    REMAP_SCHEMA = A: B

    REMAP_TABLESPACE = USERS: B

    I thought that this was caused by the fact that the two user B in the database Test with same Tablespace by default, so I created a different tablespace for user B and provided remap tablespace parameter but still getting the same error.

    Please notify.

    Hello

    Seems for some reason any your part of remap_schema is not recognized.

    In the beginning of the impdp log, you should see the command it uses,

    Can you confirm the exact order impdp journal tries to run.

    Also run the impdp since the user of the system.

  • expdp/impdp method in the database upgrade from 11.2.0.4 to 12.1.0.2 an error in logic of "command line"?

    Hi DBA:

    We are evaluating different methods of upgrading 11 GR 2 DB to 12 c (12.1.0.2) this year, it is very important for us to use the right method.  It was reported that when DB version was 9i and has been updated to 11g, there were some order of tables 'line' was wrong when execute SELECT statements in application (Java application) - at the moment I didn't if it is ' select * from... "or any specific part with a"where"clause, and what type of data was wrong (maybe sequence CLOB data, etc.).

    I think I know, ' exp/imp', "expdp/impdp" logical backup of DB methods.  Therefore, Oracle automatically import data and fix it in each table.  If no error in impdp connects after it's over, should not be any mistake, right?

    If the use of the method of 'creates a new data + expdp/impdp basis for schemas user' 11g 12 c port data, questions:

    1. this method will lead to erroneous sequence data when ordering?  If so, how to re - generate the sequence number?

    2. this method can bring CLOB, BLOB data and without any errors?  If error, how to detect and repair?

    I use the same method in the 10.2.0.5 to 11g port data, no problem.

    I'll keep this thread posted after getting more information from application.

    Thank you very much!

    Dania

    INSERT... SELECT, CREATE TABLE in the SELECT and Export-Import will all "re-organize" the table by assigning new blocks.

    In place--update (using DBUA or command line) don't re-create the user tables (although it DOES not rebuild the data dictionary tables).  Therefore, does not change the physical location of lines for user tables.  However, there is no guarantee that a further reason for INSERT, DELETE, UPDATE instructions does not change the physical location of ranks.  Nor is it a guarantee that a SELECT statement will return always stored in the same order unless an ORDER BY is specified explicitly.

    If you export the data while it is still used, you don't avoid update sequences in the source database.  Usually results in a mismatching number sequence between the source database and the new database (imported). In fact, even the numbers may be different, unless you use CONSISTENT or FLASHBACK_SCN.  (These two options in exp / expdp do NOT prevent update sequences).   The right way to manage sequences is to rebuild or increase them in data imported with the values in the data source, once the import is complete.

  • dmp Impdp file error: ORA-29283: operation invalid file ORA-06512: at "SYS." UTL_FILE", line 536

    Hi all.

    Sorry to ask this error again, I read a lot of topic in this forum on this subject, but I can't fix it.

    So I create this topic.

    My computer is running oracle database 11 g 2 express edition on ubuntu LTS 14.04.

    I'm trying to import the database of dmp file. That's what I do:

    > sqplus

    opening session with sys as sysdba, then run:

    Hoangnv CREATE USER IDENTIFIED BY hoangnv;

    GRANT CONNECT TO hoangnv;

    GRANT RESOURCE, s/n hoangnv;

    CREATE OR REPLACE DIRECTORY dmpdir AS ' / home/hoangnv/downloads/db ";

    GRANT read, write the DIRECTORY ON dmpdir TO hoangnv;

    my_project.dmp file is stored on /home/hoangnv/Downloads/db folder.

    Finally, I ran the command below in terminal:

    impdp hoangnv/hoangnv@xe directory = dmpdir dumpfile = my_project.dmp logfile = my_project.log

    That's what see the Terminal:

    ORA-39002: invalid operation

    ORA-39070: unable to open the log file.

    ORA-29283: invalid file operation

    ORA-06512: at "SYS." UTL_FILE", line 536

    ORA-29283: invalid file operation

    Any ideas? I run these commands on window and import the database successfully.

    Hello

    Please try the suggestions below:

    1. make sure that the roles granted to the user are 'default' for him.

    SQL > change the user hoangnv the role by default all;

    then try to re-import.

    Note: the DBA role contains the IMP_FULL_DATABASE with it.

    2. try import with the use of the 'System' this time, which is the result then? don't forget to give the system read, write on directory dmpdir.

    3. is the permission to/home/hoangnv/Downloads/db fine OS?

    I recently did an expdp of different actions, the database on which the export is carried out version 10.2.0.4 Now, I'm doing impdp on a database whose version is 10.2.0.5.

    The Datapump not return any errors, does not seem to connect to the database, the impdp log shows:

    I wonder if this is a bug or compatibility of version of the problem.

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards.

    The first thing I see is that you specify on the impdp command expdp.par.  This can work, but don't forget, there are expdp parameters that do not work in impdp. This should give an error, but not knowing what is in the file, it is difficult to see what might happen.

    You can add trace = ff0b00 and then watch to see is it y * dw*.trc files were created.  If not, then it is failing in the treatment of your settings and you want to in the last * dm*.trc file can help out you.

    Hello

    According to DBA_DEPENDENCIES (for 11.1 anyway) the dependencies of the table for DBMS_LOCK are DUAL and DBMS_LOCK_ALLOCATED - these two exist?

    I suggest that you get a failure and the rerun catalog and the catproc.

    See you soon,.

    Hello guys I am confronted with the error "ORA-39779: type '< schema2 >'". "< type_name >' not found or conversion to the latest version is not possible while import"while trying to import into a target database. "

    Where to I checked all told them to use the transform parameter = oid:n, I've used this setting and I still get the error.

    in a thread, said, maybe it's because users are already created in the database until the import began.

    Someone faced this problem in the past, please help me.

    Thank you

    Hello guys, this is supported

    Action taken:

    When the schema has been imported, the DDL of the tables are already created.

    I come from a content import = data_only export of the source database for only tables that have failed, then imported again.
