  New: Create a master with no menu and the masters of the child with the menus you need. Assign the child mastes adapted to your layout.

  To create child master pages, create a new master and drag the master parent on it.

  I think, you used an accordion wigget for you the menu. If so, you can open this accordion, as it should be in Design view, in the various masters. It should open in this State, when you open a page using that master.

  1.) first create a schema of Master_repo and work_repo your oracle database (or you can create a single dev_odi_schema for the master repository and work)

  (2.) in ODI, create master repository using schema Master_repo

  File---> New---> master repository Wizard

  3.) of files in ODI---> New---> create a new ODI repository connection.

  4.) now connect with newly created connection of ODI

  5.) navigator in topology, there are referential tab where you can create the repository to work.

  6.) create connection to repository work. and you can work in it.

  I created new Manager topology agent. I've updated the details of master repository in odiparams.bat

  Then, I started the officer in the command prompt.

  C:\oracle\product\11.1.1\Oracle_ODI_1\oracledi\agent\bin > _name = odi_agent agent

  Then I am getting error like

  2015 08-04 ERROR ODI-1443 error 13:00:04.056 when starting agent: javax.servle

  t.ServletException: ODI-1405: Agent OracleDIAgent start failure: the agent is not

  t defined in the topology for master repository.

  After that, I started the agent in the master repository:

  C:\oracle\Middleware\Oracle_ODI1\oracledi\agent\bin

  And then I got error like below the screenshot

  

  Please help me. Please solve this problem. I tried so many times.

  Your agent starts successfully, but you are unable to test studio odi agent. Right?
  Then is your agent and odi studio are in the same host? If yes then you use localhost as a hostname in the topology Manager. You can try to use the Ip address or full host name in the topology for you Manager connect to the agent.
  You can also check ping and telnet to the port of the agent to check if it is blocked or not.

• Connection of 11g ODI with master repo name or repo work.

  I have a small doubt please provide details.
  I created master repository name and login for it.
  I created the repository works by for the master repo. While the creation of ODI asked on behalf of connection required, I clicked on Yes, gave the name of connection WORKREP1.
  Now I'm able to see two login names a master repo and WORKREP1. and I see 2 radio buttons under the repositoy of work in the repository connection information window.
  For the master login name of repo I checked working repository button and chose the repo work such as WORKREP1 and loged in the created models and many interfaces. Which I think is the right way. Or should I login/CONNECT with username WORKREP1. for my work?
  
  In the frame of reference if I select the "repository of the Mater only", then I realized that my master repo repo and the work is the same is correct?

  In ODI 11 g, you don't need to have the different username for master and work. You can use the same. If you check only the master repository, you will be connected to only the topology and the security officer and if you check necessary repository work you will be able to connect to the designer and operator (DWR) as well.

  To answer your question, I am sure, other than the login name of the other as a master repository user/password credentials, user ODI/Password etc. will be the same. So just do your Workrep1 your default login with the repository of work required and start your development.

• How the configuration and implementation of security in ODI

  I have a few question about the facilities of ODI. I use
  Oracle DB version is Oracle Database 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64 bit Production
  ODI's ODI 11.1.1.5 version.
  
  During the installation we can go
  A master repository for Dev and UAT, mainly because we have a physical server for connecting to UAT DB and DB Dev UAT. And a separate master repository for Production?
  
  We have 2 groups of users. A developer and a tester.
  Tester donot have a permission to use or to check the development codes. They have only permission to run in operator.
  How to make this implementation of security in ODI during installation.

  Hi Lony,
  You can create a master repository, but the problem is that all developers have access to a physical connection. If a developer is going to change the details of connection to a card used in production can cause business problem. Although it is easy to maintain, but have some disadvantages.

  If you have a different master repository development and test, then avoid this kind of problem as I said earlier. If you ask me, I'll go to different master repository.

  I have installed ODI 11 g, with jump Repositrory configuration and its completed.
  
  Now I am unable to find ODI studio UI path of the file to configure the master and work repositories.
  
  where can I find the ODI studio components and standalone agent to configure the master and work repositories?
  
  In ODI 10.1.3.5 we used create ODI_JAVA_HOME = < ODI_HOME > /jre/1.4.2 for ODI 11 g also, we need to create or update the same thing.
  currently for ODI 11 g I find the jre path: C:\ODI_11g\jrockit-jdk1.6.0_17\jre is the same?
  
  How can I manually configure the master and work repositories in ODI 11 G?
  
  I'm not even know the login for Designer/toplogy ODI11g.

  Error message - the master repository data source did not contain a master repository. It seems that you have not updated the details of the master repository and also you have to encode the password for repository with the command ENCODES and provide the same in the odiparams.

• Agents in ODI

  I have a few questions about agents in ODI - related so of...
  
  1. If I have an agent that is running as an agent of "Planner", what I also set up a separate 'listener' agent or planner will do both tasks?
  
  2. when configuring the ODIPARAMS.bat file for planning, you must define a working repository - what happens if you have multiple repositories (i.e. for dev, test, prod) to work or it makes no difference who workrep it uses (and in this case, what is the point to specify a working directory).

  (1) a "Planner" officer has all the features of an "auditor" so agent, you don't need two.
  (2) because you are attaching a scheduler agent in a specific repository, you must create agents separate Scheduler for each of your different deposits. (Although not recommended and not recommended, a scheduler agent may act as agent listener for tasks in all repository.) The repository information are forwarded to the officer within the parameters of the script invocation)

• HPDM: HPDM replace self signed SSL certificates for server HDPM and master repository

  I am trying to replace the automatically generated self-signed certificates (issued to DM) issued by DM server HDPM and master repository.  I'm NOT arbitration FTPS, HTTPS embedded HPDM or CERT Thin Client Agent server.

  I already have CERT for the installation of our own internal domain CA for FTPS in IIS and the built-in Apache HTTPS server.  These work properly and pass tests of repository for both protocols.  I also have questions for Thin Clients of our internal CA very well.

  I am interested in the HPDM real server cert and cert master repository. These are generated automatically when the two services start.  They use a very weak MD5 hash and key RSA 1024.  I can't find any documentation around that, with the exception of troubleshooting, in which you can remove these certificates restart services and they will be regenerated.

  Here are the paths certs\key
  HPDM % install Path%\MasterRepositoryController\Controller.crt (Cert repository)

  HPDM % install Path%\MasterRepositoryController\Controller.key (repository key)

  HPDM % install Path%\MasterRepositoryController\Client.crt (HPDM Server Cert)

  HPDM % install Path%\Server\Bin\hpdmskey.keystore (Both HPDM server and repository Certs and keys) (not sure what format it is in.  It is not PEM and P12 ok I can say)

  There are also some HPDM % install Path%\Server\bin\hpdmcert.key.  Don't know what it is.  It's the key to the server HPDM but deleting it does nothing and it is never re auto generated in one of my tests.

  I am able to replace the Controller.crt and keys with my own files CA internal those emitted very well.  The service started and no errors occur.  However if I replace the Client.cert (HPDM Server Cert) with my own service will start but there are Socket SSL errors in repository logs and the HPDM server could not connect to the master repository. I have no idea where the key file is supposed to be for HPDM Server Cert.

  Can anyone help with this?  I can't find the configuration files for the service to generate their own certificates.  If I did I would try at least to change the config to do not use MD5.

  These certiricates between HPDM server and MRC are not designed for customizable. Please submite one scenario if you have concerns of security on it.

  Just for info:

  hpdmcert. Key is for communication between the server HPDM and gateway HPDM

  hpdmskey.keystore is for communication between the server HPDM and MRC

  server_keystore is for the commhucation between HPDM server and the Console HPDM

• How can I configure alerts group for multiple servers?

  I have a vRA 6.2 installation, installed a proxy for Hyper-v agent and tried to set up the same as an endpoint. I'm running into two issues during the process.

  Question No. 1:

  When I try to create an endpoint after you create the proxy agent, the ability to choose "Hyper-v", as the type of the end point is missing. The only option I see is "vSphere. Now, this makes me think there is a problem with the initial installation of the vRA framework. I enclose the screen turned to the message.

  Have any one seem this before? What are the condition that the final option please (even before configuring it)? Already checked the licensing part. Support attaches to understand. The proxy agent shows online and very much. But there is some instance where to choose "Super v" as an endpoint is available even before you install agents. (including VMware lab)

  Question 2:

  Even after uninstalling the proxy on the server of IaaS agents, agents are still displayed in VRA-> infrastructure-> setting-> agents, prevents us from make the trials more that we are not able to add the same "Compute resource" with a proxy agent different, even after uninstalling the proxy agent. It's just the multiplication of the obsolete entries that support is still studying on it as well. Is there a way we can force delete the reference agent proxy in the VRA? I have uninstall agents using Windows Add or remove programs and cannot find the appropriate steps to uninstall a proxy agent.

  For some reason, I think the two issues can be interrelated. I restarted the server several times to verify.

  Your Correct, after spending some time with support, it has been the granting of licenses, when we entered VRA Advanced Suite licenses. It worked.

  Her reason why we discarded before licenses, there was another case where the same key is used option Hyper v was available, the only difference is the species has been headed as VCAC and put at level VRA. So technically if you VCAC instance with vCloud Advanced suite you will have the option to go to the top of endpoint of Hyper v, and you upgrade that instance to VRA with the same license key, the endpoint options are preserved. (Not so smart)

  Regarding the "Incidents2":

  It seems REALLY have no feature that would automatically dsregard uninstalled proxy agents. You need run a SQL query that is provided by helping remove computers that aren't actiuve. So best approach not to install agents in VRA unless absolutely necessary.

  The question did not help the reputation of VRA.

  In ERPi 11.1.2.2 Guide mentioned sound that we have to import master repository

  1. Select file

  3. the Master repository import wizard

  4 specify the details of connection to the schema defined in step e, created a new schema (oracle) or the database (SQL) (I had created new database sql here)

  5. use the repository of 500 ID and

  6 import path: select the location of the (odi/master directory (oracle/Middleware/Oracle_ODI1/oracledi/xml-refrence)

  in the light of the foregoing, I had chosen location (oracle/Middleware/Oracle_ODI1/oracledi/xml-refrence)

  7. taken automatically computer Microsoft SQL server

  When I click ok then its display ODI-23049 - error detected during the Intallation of the repository

  Click on details, I am getting below error when is

  Working Import repository

  1. Select ODI Studio and then log in to the master repository

  2. Select the topology manager and select job repository

  3. create a new repository of work

  Use the repository of the 501 ID

  4. Select Designer, then import and select Import repository work

  5 specify the location of the directory /workrep odi

  I had talked about this above directory (odi/master directory (oracle/Middleware/Oracle_ODI1/oracledi/xml-refrence) )

  6. click ok then I get below error

  The imported file contains objects from a repository id 2, but this repository is not declared (IE object that since a repository with this id is not before imported beans) in the repository with id 501 target would you declare it and import procedures

  My working in ODI repository connection shows a successful error free connection.
  
  I checked my odiparams file in the bin folder, and each piece of information seems to be fine. For the ODI_SECU_WORK_REP I put the name that I have data in the repository to work while inserting in the topology Manager. Is there anywhere in the file where in I should give as well password for the repository work because seeing the error, it seems that it is a security problem?

  It is more than likely that it is down to the detail of connection

  I assume that you have coded the password ODIMaster, also make sure that labor rep is exactly correctly with the correct upper/lower case characters
