Implementation of related documents in webcenter

Hello

I am building a webcenter portal, I have a duty to answer to documents related Panel or the section in most of the pages, which lists all relevant documents. So I would like to know if there are about webcenter box components to implement the same or who would be the best approach to implement the same. The documents are all stored in the Complutense University of MADRID.

Thanks for the help!

WebCenter content has a component called RelatedLinks (now part of records management) that you could use. There is a 10 GB manual that describes this component very well: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E10316_01/cs/cs_doc_10/documentation/integrator/admin_related_content_10en.pdf

You can, however, also use links in WebCenter Portal - see http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/webcenter.1111/e10149/links.htm#BEHGCHGG in fact, you could be good to go with the STANDARD features.

Check it and if you have any other questions, share what your needs are in detail.

  • Implement AutoVue 3D in Oracle WebCenter content which already integrated with AutoVue 2D

    Dear all,

    We have AutoVue 2D which already integrated with Oracle WebCenter content. I would like to ask questions about the implementation of AutoVue 3D. This is another application that will be running side by side with the autovue 2D or is it and application that will replace the autovue 2D?

    Best regards

    Akhmad H Gumas

    A replacement from one to the other is very good but the University Complutense of MADRID is not to store CAD files as it does not support a hierarchical structure required for CAD files

    So you should consult your sales representative to see what are the options you have

    For what is AutoVue is no problem

    The integration of AutoVue with UCM will expose some limitations and it will determine how you should store the files in the Complutense University of MADRID (all the files in the same folder or use a zip file)

  • Interactive PDF, asking for signature, without GIS has been implemented in the document

    Note: I also posted this in the Indesign forum because I do not know the source of the problem.

    I exported a PDF interactive SC.5 InDesign which works exactly how it is supposed to. All right, except that anyone using Adobe Reader (Adobe Acrobat Pro vs) becomes a message that they are supposed to sign the document. Only problem is I have not implemented a signature field in InDesign or Acrobat. I have attached a screenshot. When I did this project last year, Reader X wasn't yet and everything worked perfectly without this problem in Reader 9.

    I went into my preferences and removed and unchecked anything having to do with certificates or signatures digital in Acrobat and re-registered with no luck. Anyone know how to get rid of this message/request?Screen shot 2012-06-15 at 3.59.15 PM.png

    In addition, the real signature box is grayed out.

    Screen shot 2012-06-15 at 2.59.33 PM.png

    My client is not happy and I need to find a way to make the paper stop asking for this signature.

    Thank you.

    I think it has something to do with the new feature of EchoSign. If you have only the buttons, as opposed to text fields, check boxes, etc., try to set up security standard password so that the filling is prohibited. The buttons still work, but the message may disappear. I can't test it at the moment, but I'd be interested to know if it works.

  • Apparently listening out with Dreamweaver related document links.

    Dreamweaver CS4.

    I have a page.html with a page.css stored in the same folder.

    When I do:

    <link href="page.css" media="screen" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />

    Dreamweaver can't find the css file and the design view / visual overview is all messed up.

    When I do:

    <style type="text/css">
    <!--
    @import url("page.css");
    -->
    <style type="text/css" media="screen">

    He works all of a sudden.

    Impossible to find even scripts:

    <script src="script.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

    When script.js is also in the same folder as the rest of the files.

    Preview local files via a browser works very well. Display of the tab once it is downloaded on the web looks very good. It works simply with the built-in preview of Dreamweaver generator.

    When Dreamweaver starts acting erratically, it is usually a sign of a corrupted file cache. You can find instructions to fix the JavaScript and other unexpected errors file cache in the FAQ of Dreamweaver.

  • I want to insert the path to the documents in the header, how to accomplish this?

    I'm trying to implement a standard header for all work related documents. In the header, I need to show the path to the document. I use to have a model which included the path but I ain't. Is it possible to make a template for a header that displays the path to the document? If yes how?

    It would depend on your word processing program.  Almost all offer headers and many offer various 'macro' features that can insert information in the header.  See the documentation of your word processing program or find a forum that takes care of your word processing software and ask there.

  • Z3 BlackBerry Documents to Go for Blackberry z3

    Opens blackberry z3 documents such as words, presentations, excels, and a PDF without Documents Go ask as, for example, blackberry 9360? BlackBerry 9360 has no need to go request to run these files, documents. It would automatically open Word, presentations, and other related documents without any application. BlackBerry 9360 allows to see all documents and sort them based on extensions. Z3 does the same thing without documents to go? I was wondering. Thank you.

    Yes, he does. If someone send you emails contains MS Word, Excel, or PDF files, you can open it easily without open Docs To Go.

  • Documents endangered

    Hi, I have a Samsung laptop with windows 2010 on it. For these last months I did save everything I type in a folder that I implemented in my documents, but today everything I type wont go to the folder and disappears. I am pressing Save As and it looks like at its going in the folder, but it is not. The only way I can get it back is if I go in word and click file, and then there are all recent documents, that I worked on. I tried to save it to my documents and it does not save but if I drag the upward in the folder looks like he's initially but when I go in the folder is not there. I am looking for any help please!

    There are (as often the case) several ways to go about this.

    Open Word, select the file, and open any document listed in "Recent Documents".
    With the document open, click file again, and then select "Info."
    You should get a screen like this:

    Look at the line at the top of the screen indicated by the red arrow.  This shows where the document is saved.  If, for example, your user name is Martina and the document is called a test 1, you should see the following text:

    C:\Users\Martina\Documents\College\Essay 1. docx

    What do you see?

    You can also move your mouse on the link for "Open file location" at the bottom right.  If you 'mouse' on the link, it displays the folder in which the file is saved.  If you click the link, the folder opens.

    Click on the link.  All your documents are here?  What is the name of the folder?

  • bind the pages between documents (is it possible?) CS6

    I acquired the task at my new job of recasting of the operators manuals and parts lists. I know a little bit in indesign, we can say more than the average. (I learn everyday more and more). But on my question as stated above. Is this possible?

    I made models for the manuals I've created, but I always find myself change one aspect of design on a page or two and trying to keep everything looking nice and uniform, that I have to open each and make the same changes to match. Although I get manuals more again, opening and changes to all these documents Gets a little intimidating and monotonous. Now I like say my back cover page for example who don't exchange any document for the document, is there a way to link it to all the other blankets back so that if I change something on a that it changes all the back covers all related documents?

    Also I can be me going but I have a few pages where all that is deferred like a few words (I like to consider as variables) such as the name of the product manual to address. If its possible to link the pages it would be possible to say ID to "ignore" a piece of text say inbetween two sets of characters? IE: "it's the best" (variable) "in the world".

    I can just dream but if theres a function or tool that everyone knows (or even a script, a person brought) please feel free to share it with me!

    Thanks for your time!

    Well, for your No. 2 question, Yes, there are a text variables in InDesign that do exactly what you ask. Type menu->-> set text Variables.

    For question No. 1: you can place an InDesign document to another as an image, so if you have identical pages, you can place this way. If you need text content are identical, but the presentation format for change, I would say now your text in Word or Google Docs and looking in WordFlow or DocsFlow from Em Software. Finally, the more complicated, less use-able is to include your documents in a book file to use Sync Master Pages causes changes in a master page in waterfall to your other files.

    You can get a lot fancier with Q No 1, in the form of structured writing, content management systems, and so on, but I think that place the InDesign files in other InDesign files pretty much exactly what you're looking for.

  • RH9 - cannot create links in linked ;-(Word documents

    OK, it's not logical:

    -From RH9, create a new empty project

    -Create two files word 'Topic1.docx' and 'Topic2.docx '.

    -Put 'Link' here in each document

    -Save documents

    -Project Manager, project files, connect the two documents, generate, update, etc.

    -Now create hyperlinks in each topic, pointing to the other topic using default theme editor on RH9

    -Save all and generate WebHelp project and test the links are here and work.

    -Now open and edit word documents in word. Add text to each and save

    -In the RH9 project manager, updated all the files in the project and open the items in the editor by default RH9

    Walla, the full text is here, the LINKS disappeared. In fact, I understand that this is how it works, but the BIG problem is that links to bookmarks, other topics, links to external resources that are created in the default editor of RH9 cannot be kept when the associated/related document is edited in Word. AND you cannot create ONE of these links in Word documents. So you have a help system that has really nice updated features when an author makes a change to a document, but NO LINKS. Update a linked document REMOVES ANY changes made in the default editor of RH9.

    What's a sense? My brain fell? Y at - it another workflow option?

    Thanks for any help

    Lyle

    Hummmmm, NOT of POPUPs, mini TOCs or keywords see also link controls, etc etc etc.

    I understand what you say, but it's like that. Liaison is intended to display the contents of a Word document in Word. It is not expected that you do as you describe exactly for the reason you state of transformation, it crashed with each update.

    The idea is that someone central updates the document and you just sync to the new version. The text that you use to create the link might not be in the document updated, what is RoboHelp supposed to do then?

  • Captivate 2 - relative paths

    I have built several simulations, Captivate 2 and only just discovered that my links to external files are not related.

    I created links with buttons. I fixed them to open a URL or file on success. I then went through to the files I want to link to. The files are PDF files and html files that launch the other captivate published files.

    I saw that an absolute path has been inserted, but I hoped (in vain) that it could be converted into a relative when published path as long as I kept the same folder structure for my source and published files.

    Is it possible to implement a relative path in Captivate 2?

    Thank you.

    Grace D

    Hi Grace

    In General, the best way to create and ensure a relative path is to simply type the name of the file that you are linking. Never use a browse button to navigate to a file. By manually typing the name of the file, there is no way for Captivate know the way. Thus, it creates and maintains a relative path.
