IMPORT: CARDS ARE MOST READ

I have been using LR CC successfully for some time, import of card readers and camera (Canon 1Dx and Fuji E-2 X) live. I checked the CC and I saw that I have the latest version. I am importing successfully a week or two ago.  I didn't realize some other updates.  I tried yesterday to import maps that were in my two cameras.

When I try to import raw and Jpeg (or both) in Lightroom Import dialog comes up and I press the button import (with visible images with graduations on the screen of LR).  I support on IMPORT and then they disappear and I said 'there are no images in active import' and a small window will open saying that the cards can be read.  I checked and this is not a card problem.

What can I do? It is URGENT because I provide images with a VERY tight. I pay monthly forLightroom and it's pretty notgood and will cause me real damage.

I use a Mac with OS X Version 10.11.4

Can you help me - please?

It is more than probably from a file permissions issue. The folder you have selected as is not the Destination, the images will be copied upon import to write permissions for your user name.

Change the permissions on this file or select a different folder than your username has two writing permissions &.

The problem with playing SD cards > 4 GB is that they are high capacity cards (SDHC), and older SD card readers may not be able to read them.  If your card reader can read a 32 GB SD card, so this isn't your problem.
The limit of 4 GB of RAM for 32-bit OS like Windows XP has nothing to do with the ability to read a media device of mass as your SDHC card storage.
It sounds as if this particular card is bad.  The only practical method of testing I can think right now is to try the card on another computer.  The 8 GB card works in your camera or other device?
You have an in addition to the integrated external card reader?
If you have data on the card that is important to you, it might be interesting to buy a cheap SDHC USB card reader or take a card to someone who has a (I suspect that FedEx/Kinko's or Staples might even be able to copy your files off for you - if the card is not bad).

If SD cards are functional and do not appear in the disk utility, you can try MSC and NVRAM resets:

  • Tecra M7: What types of SD cards are supported?

    Hello

I just tried a SD Transcend 150 x with 4 GB to read with my Tecra M7.
The card works find with my MDA and is formatted correctly. It also works well with a card reader.
My M7 said, it might be not formatted and wanted to format.

So my question which is: what types of SD cards are supported?

Thanks in advance and Shine On, Frank

    Hello

It seems that your laptop card reader would not be able to handle 4 GB SD cards.
Each computer laptop SD card reader supports a hardware limitation, and it seems that this card is not supported.
I m not 100% sure on taken supported card formats SD but the SD 256 MB card, 512 MB, 1024MB and 2048MB should work

A question: have you tried to use the Toshiba SD card format utility? This tool allows you to format a standard SD format SD memory card.

  • Portege R500: SDHC card can be read in the SD slot

Portege R 500 does not read SDHC cards in the SD slot. Normal SD cards can be read without problem. Manual states that you can read SDHC cards. in various forums, that it is specified, that SDHC cards up to 16 GB of work without problem. I already have downloeded and installed the latest version of the SD utilities, unfortunately without success.

    Hello

I discovered that you can use the SD 2 GB and 8 GB SDHC cards.

I put t know why you are not able to use your SDHC card but I would recommend clear slot SD Device Manager after restarting again to reinstall the driver of the European driver Toshiba page.

    But wait;
    Have you used Windows XP?
If so, have you installed SP2 and that MS patch?

  • Satellite U200-165: card reader do not read MMC cards but SD reading card

Computer laptop Satellite U200-165, Win XP home,
I got in 2006, while it wasn't any problem with my mmc cards.
Yesterday installed Windows XP pro, installed the drivers: driver media flash and SD Secure module and card readers do not read MMC cards

    Help, please!

    Hello

What exactly do you mean by MMC card doesn t work?
What is the status of card reader in Device Manager?

I checked the user manual (which can be downloaded from the Toshiba page) and it tells the MMC cards are certainly supported.
I think it must be a software problem.

In your case I recommend to update the Win XP for the last State and reinstall the Flash Media Driver and SD Secure Module again

  • SD cards are write protected on Vista

I have several multiple brands SD cards that my Vista 64 system identifies as write protected.  I have two readers of different SD cards on the Vista system and they are both the same error.  The same SD cards can be written to by digital cameras and my windows XP computer.  I confirmed that the write protection tab is in the unlocked position.  Five separate SD cards are involved between 256 MB and 2 GB.  Several brands are also involved.

I tried the suggested process of 1. The card 2. Select eject 3. Remove and reinsert the card 4. Try to write on the card.  After four or five attempts, this did not help.
I also tried selecting the card in Explorer and selecting open as Portable device.  For reasons I don't understand, one of the SD cards started working after doing this twice.  However, it does not work for the other 4 SD cards.

If the computer and the camera say it is write protected, so it's write either protected or damaged.  Look for the sliding on the card locking lug and unlock it.  If there is no locking tab then the card may be damaged and in need of replacement.

  • SD card reader recognizes that there is a card in the reader, but does not open it

I have Windows Vista Home premium and not had a problem with the drive so far. I used this card in the drive before with no problems. The card still reads in my digital camera and I checked to make sure it was unlocked. When I insert the card into the reader, the card will appear as "Secure Digital Storage Device" under the window of the computer, but when I try to click on the drive to open it, I get an error message saying insert a disc in the "Secure Digital Storage Device. I've updated the drivers for the card and the card reader, but that has not solved the problem. Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

    Hi hopkinshoney,

This error occurs with this particular SD card or all SD cards? Try to use another card and check.

  • Import of areas

I raised the text below as a request for new features, but I post here as well to see if anyone else has comments or suggestions in this area:

"I have a big Excel file with domain information from a source database, we need to model. The worksheet contains multiple values of type 'Value list' (LOV) for each domain name. However has no way of importation of these areas in SQL Data Modeller! This makes my task repetitive, boring, tedious, and prone to manual errors.

The current "Areas of import" feature is not satisfactory. It will only be a valid domain XML file. I tried to create a XML template to import my areas with, but he is unable to import even if objects are displayed in the list of areas (ie: they are selectable and LOVs, but every time I try to use them they are not related to the entity after the closure and reopening SQL Data Modeler). I think it's because the import does not add an object ID to the imported fields.

Please rework the feature areas to better import areas and LOVs. It is not possible to have to type long lists in the form of the administrator of domain by hand, only one value at a time.

A simple solution to half way would be to at least allow the LOV to import into the domain administrator screen so that even if the field needs to be created manually, the values can then be loaded into. This could improve performance and reduces the possibilities of data entry error. »

You can use the sys_guid() function to generate a unique id for each field.
I see that you have the solution. Another way is to write the processing script that will read file or database.

  • pictures disappear, the cards are not displayed

Some dysfunction in views - appear in fact 2 errors:
    1. on some Web pages, image appears any time but then replaced by the loading symbol, reloading repeat this sequence.
    2. in addition, cards are generally not displayed but remain empty (no loading symbol) right from the beginning.
I guess it has something to do with settings, modules or plugins, but could not do by disabling their functioning. It is not the site itself, as the pictures show well with the same version of Firefox on another PC.
    Thanks for help.

I finally solved the problem. It had to do with the profile of the user - after reset everything works fine. Good luck for those who also have this problem!
