Import .jpg problem

I am running the latest version of LR3. I have a few jpg files from my wife on his cell phone. She sent them to our e-mail provider and they came as attachments. I saved and renamed using the date-time convention, I always use and assured they had the jpg extension. I then tried to import them using the import normally routine that I use when importing files already on my computer. When I said LR3 where to go away, he tried to return and bring insight, but all five of the photes are light gray. There was a triangle with an exclamation point in the upper right corner of each of them, then I hovered over one of them with my mouse cursor. The context window came and said "Lightroom has encountered a problem handling this file." or words to that effect. I think that manipulation could be other words. It was a real surprise since because I'm new to LR3 I had spent many hours in the last week, bringing on the pictures that are on my computer by using this procedure, and this is the first time I had a problem.

Anyone seen this before?

HAL,

Here it is again. I suspect it's being stripped by the Adobe server. clvrmnky

says to use a service like yousendit where you download the file, and they send you

an e-mail message, after which you're going to get it back. I went on their website

but they charge for their services.

No, yousendit is free for individual users. The prices you see are Pro or Corporate services.

For what you do here, on the basic service free is fine.

  • Import JPG or TIF

If I don't have a shooting from raw files, but have access to high quality jpg or TIF, I assume that it's okay to import jpg files and LR will always be the quality of the files?  It appears that Lightroom will process the JPGs and RAW files and be not destructive?

That's right... Lightroom treats files as non-destructive al... so to see the results in other applications a new file with the crazy adjustments in Lightroom should be created through export...

  • Speech recognition Profile Import Export problem

I have problems to import a profile that I put in place.  I'm upgrading my hard drives often, so I'm always import and export of different profiles.  I have run the little program "Speech Profile Manager" and I export my profile (by default and only one), but when I go on the new computer, same version of vista and everything, I get huge errors and it does not matter.  This is how it goes down:

I have not a single program open, just after a clean boot:

    1. I run the speech profile manager

    2. I click on "Import", I find the file to import and say OPEN.

    3. it is said so "do you wish the profile imported by default?"  I click Yes

    4. He said to them 'the microphone settings must be granted before use... You want to now? "I click Yes.

Speech at startup and then switch to sleep mode and that this error pops up:

WARNING: Engine target () of the profile is not available.

Profile data has been imported, but won't work for the missing engine.  If you install the engine at a later date, please fun the microphone Wizard.

And then 1 million errors is the first:

"ERROR: cannot create (Files\1033\L1033.tpc) key in the registry." Please make sure that the speech is installed and that no programs that use speech (for example) are open, and then try again.

If I say no the Microphone Wizard, I get an another huge list of errors, but a different number:

"ERROR: cannot create the key (Files\TrainingAudio-0409-10C902C1-A71A1D60) in the registry." Please make sure that the speech is installed and that no programs that use speech (for example) are open, and then try again.

I don't even have office on this computer.  Profile is certainly not the profile, I spent months tweaking. It's a blank profile.

I tried Yes and no on each option, micro USB plugged out, jack mic 1/8 '' plugged in, I tired it work on 3 different Installations of Vista. I tried to re - export profile several times. I get a similar set of mistakes every time.

    Help!

The software that you are using was built in fact older versions of Windows and is not listed as compatible with Windows Vista. I apologize because I was under the impression that you imported files to an old Windows XP system running the Tablet PC edition or Office 2003 because the error indicating "target engine () of the profile is not available." and the use of the older tool. Resource: speech recognition Profile Manager tool

Speech recognition Profile Manager tool is now obsolete, because vocal training files can now be migrated using the Easy Transfer Wizard. The wizard is available for Windows XP via download and integrated in all Installations of Windows Vista.

To transfer voice (including the training files) user profile settings, please perform the following steps:

-Click on the ORB start and type EASY in the search bar, click Windows Easy Transfer icon that appears - this will launch the wizard:

-Click Next - select start a new transfer
    -Choose my old computer
-Choose to use a CD, DVD, or other removable media (even to memorize the settings on the local hard disk)
-Select the external hard drive or to a network location (even memorize settings on the local hard disk)

-Under Choose a network location, you can use the parameter to copy the files to your local hard drive by default:

-Choose any user account or my user account
-If you make a transfer from one account to another on the same computer or on a single account on another computer, then you choose the my account of yser option

-Choose advanced options will give you the choice to transfer only specific items in your account
-You can use this for example to transfer only files sounds and speech recognition and clear all other check boxes
-Once your choice, click on the wizard checks to see what items are able to transfer
-At this point, you will notice that all the items that are selected to be transferred, by default all data application, Documents, items of office and preferences, Internet Explorer, and Windows settings are selected whose sounds and speech recognition:

-Here you can choose again customize to select specific items you would like to be transferred after clicking on the transfer of your objects will be stored at the selected location

-To import all items to another profile on the same computer or on another computer, you will need to re-run the wizard and select a current transfer and a new computer, and then point to the location of the files previously exported.

  • How can I prevent imported jpg images going soft first elements 11?

I have several graphics in the form of jpg images that have strong air in my editor (Corel PhotoPaint), as well as the Windows Viewer. But when I import premiere elements 11, they get pretty sweet. Any suggestions on how to avoid this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks to you and John Smith. The size was the issue. For reasons too esoteric to go in, the jpg files were much larger that they should be. I have their re-sampled in Corel PhotoPaint and decreased the size (but not the CIO) of 75%. Who did. Interestingly, before I made the change, I have noted that none of the giant files would play in the clip viewer... they just came up as a draft. It is another indication of the problem, and it disappeared once I have shrank the files.

  • Difficulty to import jpg in Organizer

I'm trying to import some jpg files in a windows folder Organizer. What comes to the Organizer is a miniature (there is no image) for each photo. Properties indicate that this is the correct jpg. I can open the file in the elements.

There is something about the files which is the cause of the problem. It makes no difference to move the file to another folder. All ideas

I solved the problem. Each jpg has 4-5 mb in size. I have them resized in elements of 3 MB and now everything is fine.

  • Re-imported jpg lost all keywords

    Hello

I have a question of functionality of LR.  I was exporting images to Photoshop to batch add custom watermark (Yes, I know that LR can do the watermarks, but mine must be customized beyond LR capablilties).  I would like to re - import the jpg images filigranées in LR so I can keep track of them.  The problem is that when I import them, they lost all their keywords.  Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help,

    Amanda M.

When I reimport them, they retain is no longer their keywords.  Is it possible to use the command "change in" LR that will still allow me to use automate > batch to the PS?

Even if there is one, you still can't "Edit in Photoshop" in JPEG.

My guess is that your model has switch to Minimize Metadata (it removes key words) turned on. Or your keywords are not configured to be exportable. Check if the keywords have the option include on export selectded.

  • v.38 a pst import again problem. v.37 ok if can import then upgrade.

Just for a guy 'heads-up '. Recently installed Thunderbird on mine and computers portable friend without any problem.
Tried to get it also works on my desk for a few days and it repeatedly crashes when importing. Tried all sorts of tricks like putting the pst file on a USB and uninstall/reinstall Thunderbirds and Outlook.
Finally found earlier problem reports down to specific versions of Thunderbird. Laptops have v.37, but the Office has v.38.
A previous fix was to install v.24 and then upgrade. Just tried this and it worked a treat. v.24 imported all my outlook stuff and then everything just improved v.38.
Either way, all 3 machines running Windows 7 and Outlook Express.
    Best regards

    Thanks for the heads up.

  • "File type not supported" error message when you import jpg files into my Joomla blog... I just updated to the latest FF of the old version. Help!

I've just updated all my FF browsers to the latest version and now regret it.

Can I go back? Security be doomed, because I manage a daily site and use jpg all the time. When I open Joomla to create my new assignments, the FF browser now blocks the download of all the jpgs on my web server. Safari has still properly download jpg files, but does not allow other manipulations of images (when I work in Joomla).
    (1) can I fix in FF
    (2) if not, can I go back to a previous v. of FF if I now v. 12?

You have the option to update PVE? This thread suggests she could solve the problem: Joomla! - View topic - problem downloading photos in the JCE Editor. Another suggests to disable a different download option (but that means nothing to me): type file not supported - file: undefined. Extended image 2.0.2 Manager.

I have 5 Lightroom on a pc. The first time I imported the photos a

  • import/export problem

    Hi guys!

I have problem with a full import of 11.2.0.3 database on RHEL 6.4 EE (64-bit). I did a full export of my source as this database

    expdp system/pass COMPRESSION = ALL full = y parallel = 2 = ORCL_EXPORT dumpfile = expfull.orcl.dmp expfull.orcl.log = logfile directory

and I tried to fully import in an another RHEL 6.4 db 11.2.0.3 with this line:

    Impdp system/pass parfile import.par LOGFILE = orcl.log =

    by file contains:

    DIRECTORY = ORCL_EXPORT

    FULL = Y

    DUMPFILE = expfull. ORCL.dmp

    EXCLUDE = PATTERN: 'IN ('USER11') '.

    REMAP_DATAFILE =

    ' ' / db/db/orcl_vip/userdata.dbf':'/data/orcl_data/userdata.dbf', '

    "' / db/db/orcl_vip/app11.dbf':'/data/orcl_data/app11.dbf' '...

But each import of time been switched to the previous use of import with a completely different game from the import settings? Why?

Just to say that I have doubts with parallel parameter indicated in the export script. Because the dump file is probably corupted because it did not divide? (it should be something like dumpfile = expfull.orcl%u.dmp? )

    Post edited by: rootsman

I found what is right! I copy script import schema to another path to server and I changed to full import. Although I have change the Oracle script looks like just the script name and the version previous run of him no matter what I have change in it.

So note to myself, always change the name of import script!

  • Could not import jpg or Panasonic Raw in LR

LR refuses to import images from the card reader, it's new behavior.  On the map are images in jpg and raw Panasonic (RW2).  LR does not even see the jpg and seems to import the RAWs, but at the end said "some import operations were not performed.  The files are not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom (78). Click below to check the latest version of the LR.

Now my creative cloud has just updated to version 5.6 LR.  The list in supported by Adobe Camera Raw devices says that my camera TZ70 is supported by version 6.0 of the LR and above.

I can copy the images, both first and jpg version on the computer easily, but can't get LR to do.

-What is the version 6.0 of LR?

-Why this update is not available for me?

-Why it won't import or view the jpg?

-How can I use my images?

    > But that still doesn't explain why LR ignores version jpg of each picture in the same folder on the same card.  Can you suggest why this is and how I can import these jpg files?

You must be sure to check the possibility of "Processing JPEG files" next to raw as photos separated in the preferences-> general.
