Import mov files in PP - video won't load, audio only

Hi friends

I have .mov files exported from FCPX. The codec is dvh5. When I import to the first, the video will not show or listen to samples. Audio is fine. I tried Adobe Media Encoder, but same problem there - no video preview, no video export. Also, the same files play on QuickTime. I'm on Mac.

Grateful for any ideas

Please try this handbrake.

Thank you

  • import .mov files in pictures for Mac?

I took a few videos a short holiday with my digital camera. Saved on my EyeFi Mobi card before sending them on my iPad.

Now that I'm Home I want to import videos into pictures on my iMac.

I sent them from my iPad to my iMac via AirDrop. But I'm having trouble getting the files. When I open them a black box appears which says conversion. They seem to be JPEG files now, not the MOV files.

I want to import these movies Photos for Mac, but I'm stuck.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

Connect the iPad to your Mac with USB cable and use Image Capture to download video files to iPad.  Make sure they are playable in Quicktime player and then import them into your library.

  • No sound on the imported .mov files

Since WMP on Vista does not recognize the .mov file formats I had Dell technical support install pack of 495 s K-lite codec. Now I can open and read files .mov (imported from a digital camera KODAK Z710), but there is no sound. The speakers are very well, all the other videos from the internet do not have an audio problem, nor play CD and DVD have audio problems. Only files .mov that came from my camera do not play sound. Dell support diagnosed my computer and it works perfectly diagnosed. They said that it is a problem of 3rd party. I spoke in support of KODAK, but they can not help me with a computer problem. BTW, his play on the camera itself.
I am at a loss. I have been around surfing the net for hours and hours, but did not finde any solution, just many similar problems.
Nobody knows how to solve this problem without me needing a degree in computer science? Thank you.

Windows Media Player is not a good choice to play .mov files.

.mov is the Apple QuickTime format... so would be the best player
Apple Quick Time player being... I suspect a copy provided with your
    camera.

The free VLC Media Player can also be worth a try.

    VLC Media Player

Best bet IMHO... convert the .mov to .avi using the free Panzera
MOV to AVI. Then you can read the files in most of the media
Player and if you ever decide to use Movie Maker, they'll work here
    also.

After you download... Open the program...

Drag and drop one or several .mov files...

    Choose an output directory...

Select... WMV AVI - Video Codec - version 1 (WMP 7)...

    Convert...

  • Why the Mac (Adobe Revel) app support import mov files?

Mov files are grey-out when I am tempted to choose to import.

The Mac app version 1.10 is released before that we supported the video, this is why you see a fixed version of your video there. We have released video first on iPhone/iPad and adoberevel.com.

I imported a low quality .mov file that I am trying to change. It is about 380 x 160 (per here) and default is 720 xx.

Is it possible to resize the project so that it matches my mov file?

I don't want to export the video with a huge black screen around it.

  • No sound when you import .mov files in PPCC

    Hello

I'm almost at the end of my rope.  I'm working on a project that uses .mov files.  Problem is that every time that I import them into the bin, no audio appears (not even in the preview window).  I tried to use the media encoder to make a copy of the files to .mp3 and .wav format, but the files just released silent.  None of the waveforms or whatever it is.  Then I tried to encode as Quicktime, PP does not recognize the file type.  I am now at a loss.  Honestly, I don't have a problem with it until this last update.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I installed filmic Pro on my iPhone and pulled two clips, one with AAC audio and the other with audio AIFF. Of course, one with audio AIFF lost audio when importing Premiere Pro and still when I dragged into Media Encoder. Seems to be a bug that's worth logging: feature request/Bug Report Form

Could be a problem with film recording Pro with audio AIFF, could be a problem elsewhere.

Moral of the story for filmmakers: always test your workflow before shooting. (This should not be a new morality either.)

  • Only Audio stereo imported .mov file plays in 1 channel

    Hello:

Only, I imported a .mov file, which, when you look at its properties, said that the Audio is STEREO at 48000 Hz. Yet, when I play it, the sound comes only from 1 channel and the other speaker is silent.  I looked everywhere in the forum to find answers, but none of them seem to work.  Basically, I want to just duplicate the left channel and copy it to the right channel, so the same sound can be heard from two speakers.  (I think that the person who registered used a mono microphone and somehow he went alone to one of the stereo channels).

    Any ideas?

Use the audio effect of fill (right or left). This will duplicate the right channel on the vacuum.

  • Cannot import mov files in AE.

This problem appeared from time to time. It causes several things that I can't do in my After Effect, but I really have no idea how I can solve this problem.

Problem 1: wait long to open the AE, it hangs on the core of media initialization and takes about 10-15 minutes to get through.

Problem 2: impossible to import the mov files and if I import the mov to the AE project, this pop-up comes

"After effects error: file 'file name.mov' cannot be imported - this 'MooV file is damaged or not supported". ".

Problem 3: cannot display the model as mov. and just this pop up global warming

"After Effects: one of the output modules could not be imported." It has been reset to use the default setting for the selected file format. »

I read a few threads, and I knew this could cause communication blocked between AE and QT. But I check my QT, it's version 7.6.6 and I have installed firewall software, communication is therefore correct (I guess, since I can play normally mov file and not the home warm message that "QuickTime is not installed on this system...) »).

Another thread said may because of the tripartite component in the QT library. This may seem reasonable, cause I install certain converters to convert before wmv and avi formats.

I had the same problem, and so far, this solution worked for me. (touch wood)

Try to set your default player for QuickTime .mov files.  (Mine has been set to Windows Media Player)

    • Right-click on one of the mov files that you encounter a problem at the opening in AE.
    • Select 'Open with' and select 'choose program by default... "downstairs.
    • Select Quick Time. (Make sure the "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" is checked).
    • Restart your computer.
    • Open AE and see if it works.
  • What are the best settings to export the .mov file? my video jumps

What are the best settings to export the .mov file? I have movie 1280 x 720 and I can export without problem, but sometimes it jumps or gets stuck when I play. I don't know if it's my video card or the actual file. I used better quality setting and compressor H.264.

    Thank you.

As you suggest, it could be a problem with your hardware that is not in a position to make the video on this particular resolution,

I tried the same thing and it works fine for me without any problem. You can always export the movie in a format you want and then use other software video converter to get the desired format. If your video does not work then you can also, to let know you that there is a problem with your hardware.

When I imported a WMM video clip which is a. AVI file and it fell on the timeline and read, I could hear no problem but the screen was black. • How import/move files to CF card

I installed the trial version of the LR5. First step is to import all my files in the new catalogue. Worked well. Second stage takes a CF of my camera card and spend all the new photos in my folder of photos on the hard drive and import them in the catalog. When using ZoomBrowser EX utility Canon of the card, I had the opportunity to move the files, which was exactly what I wanted. Surprisingly LR5 allows me to 'Copy as DNG' and 'Copy', but 'Move' is gray. So now when you import pictures from my CF card, photos are still on the CF card and occupy the place of storage. I could understand if Adobe want to copy files, if you always keep a copy/backup. But if I still only copy files, then after some time that the CF card is full and I cannot make the pictures more. What is the way to Lightroom to clean the CF card, once the images are imported?

    Kind regards

    Werner

The recommended Lightroom workflow is to copy the images, leaving them on the map where the problem arises during the transfer. After the transfer is complete and you are satisfied, the recommended procedure is to reformat the card using the camera. If you do not have procedure recommended like that then you can use another software that will run the action move you are looking for. Then you can simply import in Lightroom using the Add option.

Some users do not appreciate Adobe their hand, so to speak. They want to be able to make that choice. Reformat the card only takes a few seconds. It can ensure that the next shoot will be a clean shoot and provide a clean download. But if you prefer to take that risk, then you can use that to download.

  • Videos won't load is not properly on first convocation... desperate online

Problem weird here, people.  I have a web page created on board animate that reads videos (4) at the same time and it works very well by using "Preview in the browser."  It does NOT correctly load the time _first_, it is called from the Web site.  It - everything except videos - charge that partially the first time that a not in browser's cache (Firefox, Opera, Chrome, Safari) trying to load the page.  However, after trying to load the page from that first time, if you go immediately to any other Web site and then come back to my site to load the page, the page loads correctly.  It kills me.  I'm guessing that this behavior will be immediately recognized by someone who can tell me a solution.

    To show this behavior:

    1) go to the http://www.lightisrising.com

Loads a partial page (without animation in the upper left corner, bottom left, right, and lower right cells).

    2) go to another website, such as Adobe.com

    (3) back to www.lightisrising.com, and the page load and play the videos properly.

Of course, I need the page to load correctly the FIRST time someone visits it.

Thanks in advance for any help. Very much appreciated.

There seems to be a bug html5 video. with several auto-play videos, it will display: none; the first time it loads.

I'm still working on edgehero 0.3 and I fixed it already, simply by adding some css display: block; for the video tag.

I hope that helps you fix.

Support for 32-bit systems video Windows and OSX 10.6 were dropped in CC Photoshop.

Unfortunately, this was not a well documented change.

I'm really sorry for the effort that you and others put in trying to make this work.

We are taking steps now to make the information easier to find.
