import music

I am trying to upload music from my PC to my phone. Any simple way to do this? Did some research online, tried several different ways, need step by step instructions. Thanks for any advice you have.

Connect the phone to PC, open the phone's files directory and drag and drop into the music folder. In music folder (or downloads that works as well) organized as you see fit. I use Amazon Music and play music, both recognize my music personally added.

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not that a transfer backup device and media has been planned with you keep a master copy of your media on a computer that is in itself independently supported against loss.  To use a device with a different configuration, you pass the old library from a computer or a backup directly in the new configuration, not the device to the library. Synchronization of media isn't a way, computer to the device, update the contents of the device to the content on the computer, update or restore the content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases that can be transferred to a computer.

Redownload or transfer your iTunes Store purchases an iPhone, iPad or iPod to computer - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201267 - 'this feature only works for content purchased from the iTunes Store. From iOS9 is more apps that now need to be re-downloaded directly from the store.

To transfer other items from an i-device to a computer, you will need to use third-party commercial software.  See this document in turingtest2: recover your iTunes library from your iPod or device iOS - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991 even this method can fully recover what you originally had in the library. For example, in order to save space during synchronization if you had converted music files at a lower rate, or photos at a lower resolution, it is these lower quality files that will pick you up.

If you subscribe to the Apple music, titles that are not part of the content that you have purchased or downloaded may not be transferred and must be downloaded directly from iCloud.

  • How do I import music from my iTunes library

Hi, I have first 14 elements and I want to know how do I import music from my iTunes library into a clip.

[title edited for clarity by mod]

Most of the itunes music has integrated copy protection that will prevent you from using it in a video editing project. If you try to load a song into Premiere Elements of iTunes, it throws an error message upward.

This is true of iTunes. Music from Amazon, for example, can be used without problem.

Although, as I showed you in my book on Amazon, you will always get the best performance with the program is use you exclusively the WAV audio format for your music. You can convert most audio formats to WAVs download free Audacity.

  • Impossible to import music into iMovie

In iMovie 09, I used to be able to import my iTunes music. Now the only choices I have are GarageBand and sound effects to iMovie and iLife. No idea why the change?

Yes, there are reports that the latest version of iTunes connect is no longer with iMovie 9.  You can find the file in your iTunes library, then drag and drop it into the event iMovie or line of scene or iMovie update to the current (10.1.2). version  Why?  I'm not Apple, just a user like you.  It seems that Apple is trying to wean users 5 years of iMovie versions.  There are a number of other things that do not work in iMovie 9 when running under El Capitan.

  • import music from the external drive to new itunes

Hello... Had to delete and reinstall all iOS on my MacBook Pro 2012. Have always worked iTunes on an external drive. All my music is and do not want it on my computer. Can not find a way to import it back in to new 12.4.0.119 Capitan 10.11.5 running iTunes. Help, please.

Do you mean OSX? iOS does not work on a computer.

Launch iTunes while holding down the option/alt key and guide it to the iTunes Library.itl file in the iTunes external hard disk folder. If all you have on the media on your external drive then the structure of your library is lost and you must start with a new library. Go to iTunes > Preferences > advanced and set to use your external hard disk's current media folder.  In a window of iTunes, then drag your media folder.

  • Import music looping

  • import music on ipod

    Hi all

Its been a long time I used my iPod and its probably me having a time superior, however I don't trust an ipod because I had all sorts of problems on the first day years ago. I've even sent in the service of the Apple in Ireland due to the synchronization of probs etc. They said it was very good... Hmmm

Anyway, I imported 5 albums and they are showing in 'my music' with pictures of the Album. If I click on the tab playlists that it lists all albums including most recently added, but there is no sign of any singles tracks that I have on it. If I click on the relevant album cover all tracks are shown in this album, with no option or ticks boxes to synchronize. If I click on the icon of the ipod, it does appear the details of the ipod, etc.

Then under settings, if I click on the music she brings to the top of the page synchronize music with the ability to synchronize the entire library of music. The selected playlist of synchronization is already selected. If I check the box sync it tells me that music etc is deleted and sync with this library.  Now this bit worries me because in the past when I did a sync from here he wiped off tons of music and I didn't know what happened to them (presumed deleted) I don't want that to happen again.

If I click on the tab music under my device, only the existing music is listed and checked and my imports are not listed.

The tab recently added folder is empty. Recently added under the playlists tab shows recently added albums

So, in conclusion, can someone shed light on where and how I can get these songs on the ipod?

    Thank you for your patience

You're on the right screen in iTunes (with the box sync music ).  However, I am not clear on what you want to accomplish.  If the iPod has on this, songs that have been synchronized to an old iTunes library, those songs will be erased if you configure synchronization from a (different) current iTunes library.  iTunes replaces the existing content of the iPod with the contents of your current iTunes library, and it is then associated with your current iTunes for synchronization in the future.  When you use automatic synchronization (not manual loading), the iPod can be associated with one iTunes library at a time.

By therefore, if there are songs on the iPod that are not in your current iTunes library (and you want to keep them), you must unload these songs first.  iTunes synchronization is generally one-way, from the iTunes library to iPod.  You cannot use iTunes to transfer files of song from iPod to computer (with the exception of songs purchased from the iTunes Store).  However, there are methods and third party utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer.  If you do an Internet search on something like 'ipod transfer music', you should get a few useful links (including a CNET article on the subject).

Once the files of songs from the iPod to your disk, add them to your current iTunes library so that ALL your songs.  Confirm it's all there.  Then, you can configure synchronization of iPod to your current iTunes library.  Check the box to Sync music, on music from the iPod settings screen in iTunes.  This enables Automatic sync and associated iPod to your current iTunes library.  All the songs from the iPod that are not in your iTunes library will be lost; This shouldn't be a problem, since your library iTunes has now all your songs.  You can choose the option synchronize library of ensemble music (or a selected part of it).  Click apply.  Further, iTunes syncs iPod "" with your music library (or the selected part of it).

  • import music from cd to itunes

I have a 2014 Macbook Pro, which does not have a CD slot.  I have a CD with the music on it I want to put it in iTunes and then on my iPhone.  Is this possible?  I had it on my iTunes using my Macbook Pro 2009 account which has the slot, but this computer doesn't recognize any of my music even if I signed my iTunes account.  Then my same account iTunes on my new computer is not the music CD in what I imported on the old computer to the same account.  I'm confused!

That makes two of us!   for gettting the CD with the music in iTunes on a MacBook Pro, which does not have a CD slot, you ' need to use a computer with a CD slot and a USB key. Put the CD in the drive, it will appear on the right side of the screen of your computer, and then plug the USB. Double click on the CD to open and there you will see a few pieces of music. Double-click on the USB key to open it and now drag the tracks on the CD open on open thumb drive. You should see a sign that says "Now" "copy". When it's done, you should see a number of pieces of music on the USB. You can now close the CD (or eject it) then ejected the thumb driver properly by dragging it to the trash. Do not just remove the decision-making, it is well connected, just the eject, and when it disappears from your screen, then you can unplug the unit and plug it into your MacBook Pro 2014.  You also need to find your old iTunes library on your new MacBook Pro.  (I got this Apple)/./// quit iTunes... Go to the iTunes folder that contains the files to iTunes library. in the MenuBar at the top of your screen, choose go > home page, open the music folder, and then open the iTunes folder. Drag the file from the library itl iTunes on your desktop. in the iTunes folder, open the previous iTunes libraries folder. Search for the file named iTunes WHAT LIBRARY XXXX-YYY-ZZ where XXXX-YYY-ZZ is the date that you updated iTunes. Copy this file to the iTunes folder (including the folder), rename it to iTunes and open iTunes library. You should now see your missing content. Please note: all changes made, such as the additional new songs or new playlists created may be missing

    good luck to you
