Movie Maker may have problems of compatibility with MP3
files... may be worth a try to convert MP3 files
to WMA before you import into Movie Maker.

There are many programs that can do conversions...
The following freeware is an example...:

Format Factory
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Format_Factory (the file you want to download is: > FFSetup260.zip
(FWIW... installation..., you might want to
Uncheck the box 'all' boxes on the last screen)

First, you will need to decompress the file or just open the
Drag FFSetup260.exe out of the folder
and drop it on your desktop. To install left click.

Next, after the download and installation of Format
Factory... you can open the program and
left click on the toolbar, the "Option" button and
"Select an output folder to" / apply / OK.
(this is where you find your files after they)
are converted)

Drag and drop your MP3 clips on the main screen...

Select "while"WMA"/ OK...

Click on... Beginning... in the toolbar...

That should do it...

    Hello

Some audio and video file formats are not supported in Windows Movie Maker and cannot be imported. However, if you have a video or audio file that is not taken care of, you can use a non-Microsoft video editing software to convert the file into a format supported by Windows Movie Maker, and then import the video file or an audio resulting in Windows Movie Maker. Some files also require you to install a codec before you can use the files in Windows Movie Maker.
Note: The use of third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

    ·          Do you have any third party media player and codec installed on your computer?

Temporarily uninstall them if you have any third-party media player installed on your computer and check if you are able to import files video .mov in Windows Movie Maker.

Secondly, if you have any third-party codec player installed temporarily uninstall them and check.

To uninstall codec and third-party multimedia player, you can use the Windows Cleanup utility.

Download and install the Windows Installer Cleanup utility from this link:

Before the audio tracks, a way of seeing sound waves - where the sound was loud and soft, but recently those too are gone, and that's what I think the problem is. • Import and editing a DVD into Windows Movie Maker

    Hello

    Hello

I have home video on a DVD.  The DVD is a file 'Video_TS. I can't import into WMM to change.  I have to convert the VIDEO_TS file in a different format to import it?

    Thank you

    ==================================
VIDEO_TS is a folder inside the folder you will find...
. IFO. BUP, and. VOB files...

DVD files you need for editing in Movie Maker
are the. VOB files. You can find them in the VIDEO_TS
folder. Copy them to a folder on your hard drive.
    (drag/drop...copy/paste)

First... just try to rename one of the. VOB files to
. MPG or. AVI and see if it will matter in Movie Maker.
If import works... drag the file to the timeline and
Economy/publication (file / save movie file) in the .wmv
or to the .avi format. So... re - import new movie .wmv
    Clip for editing purposes.

(Also... you may be able to play the renowned files
Windows Media Player... This will give you a chance
to identify the VOB file that contains the content
    you want to change)

If this does not work... rename the file back to VOB and try
convert the following .wmv file free
    Converter:

    SUPER © Simplified
    Universal Player Encoder & Renderer
    http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Super

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

After installing the program GREAT... open...
you will see two small circles at the top left
corner of the screen... check the UPPER circle.

You can experiment with the settings
but the following steps should help you get started...

Now... Drag/Drop your. VOB files in the current field.

    Output container... Choose... WMV

Video scale size / no change

    Left, click the Encode button.

Choice: A Simple Profile / OK...

    Wait... wait longer...

(FWIW... I have better luck with video if I'm not
try to multi-task while a file is being converted)

When the file is converted, you should find it in...
Program Files / eRightSoft / Super / exit.

Or... you can type... CTRL + O.. o open the Save
Window and choose a backup folder.

    Good luck...

  • Please help try to copy the video in windows movie maker to burn to dvd

First of all Hello, this is my first but I have read a lot of posts and tried to figure it out, but think I made things worse, I have a dell inspiron 15 something and a panasonic HDC-HS20, I had to reinstall windows and all pilots who, I think I did as when I put my camcorder software I began to have problems He says not to approve a 64-bit program and then it worked for a while then kept computer crashing then a black screen at start up and finally when I tried to burn videos to dvd, it says that I don't have a dvd player/burner, so I will now try to transfer my videos through Director of windows I downloaded everything it says that I need and it transfer files, but when I add them to movie maker it shoes a yellow triangle with a black exclamation point in each sinus and when I press on the bar moves along to play, but no images so im assuming that he does not, is it possible to do what I do, or I need to reinstall my software of camcorder and just hope that it recognizes my drive? any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

Sorry, I can't say I have now added my software that came with the camcorder, the software is called HD writer AE 1.0 and checked the compatibility of my product with microsoft and it says it's ok with a 64-bit, recharged even when software and when I click to create media that he says again in writing destination @cannot find accessible driver , so I looked through articles where dvd burner is not recognized by other programs, but he told me to go in accessories of control, performance etc. and do a right-click on the HKEY CURRENT user but it says nothing about the registry keys, it is said by default with a symbol beside him ab and under said data not defined

    Thank you

I downloaded some video footage to my office at the top of a camera. I tried to import it into Movie Maker off the file to my desktop but without success. The files are of MTS

Movie Maker doesn't support mts, which is a form of HD video file. How to properly edit these files without loss of resolution is to use a burner to Editor/Blu-ray HD such as Sony Vegas Pro 9, which is very expensive and complicated. There are programs to convert mts and other HD of old formats files, but they usually cause loss of resolution. There are a few players, such as some versions deluxe Cyberlink PowerDVD which will play Blu - ray discs and isolated from the HD files, but you need a fairly fast computer with plenty of memory to play well on high-resolution Blu - ray.
