import photos from an SD card in Lightroom
When I import pictures from a sd card in the camera, they show in black and white. Who is wrong
any
There are at least two possibilities I can think
- The photo (if it's a JPG) was capture B & W camera
- There is a preset (accidentally?) applied to the import (in the develop Module historical Panel, the substantive entry should say Import date and time; and not import /
followed by the date and time) in which case you need to remove the develop preset to be applied to the import.

Hi Marrissey
What version of Lightroom do you use?
Could you please share the exact error message you get when importing, also post a screenshot of the import window.
Most of the time this happens when you have a bad Destination set (with limited write permissions) in the import window. See thread 6.1.1 Lightroom will not import my photos - please help

How to import photos from an SD card in chronological order?
Hi all
I'm new to 10 PSE so bear with me for a second, I ask your help. I try to import photos from an SD card and have them renamed as imported while but keeping the chronological order based on when they were taken but I can't get this result. The photos are imported in chronological order, but in the folder, they are in the SD card.
Situation
I have my vacation photos in my SD card in 7 folders created by the camera (1 for each day). When I go to "Get the Photos and videos" and I select the card reader, I see them in chronological order but in keeping the order of each folder starting with the last folder.
Did I get 10 PSE?10 PSE is their import and rename but use chronological order within each folder starting with the most recent creation of a chronological mess.
Results expected Import
I want pictures to be imported and renamed, but keeping the regardles chronologically this folder are in. I think it starts from the bottom of the list to the top.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you ed deyo1
I understand your recommendation, but I was hoping that items he'd for me instead of having to use a workaround. I kept looking in various forums and found this http://www.sevenforums.com/music-pictures-video/25245-picture-import.html post where he explains how to use the Windows Live Photo Gallery import feature to get the same behavior that we have used to extract the XP. Read the post from 'jrdaddykins' to the list of steps to follow. I believe that this post closed, thank you for those who chipped in.

OJ6480 am not able to import photos from the memory card inserted in the printer to laptop?
I can't import pictures from my memory inserted in my OJ6480 card. I am connected with USB and nothing appears automatically after you insert card. Also, I used the menu photo option and he doesn't want me to import. Help, please! Thank you.
Hi cafahr,
I understand you are trying to print photos from a memory card.
I find the user manual for Officejet 6480 and found the following.
After taking pictures with your digital camera, you can print them immediately or save them on your computer. To save the pictures on your computer, remove the memory card from your digital camera and insert it into the slot for card memory on the device.
To save your photos
NOTE: Use these instructions only when you use a network connection. If you are using a USB connection, then a dialog box appears automatically on the computer when you insert the memory card into the device.
1. Insert a memory card into the suitable location on the device.
2. press on the picture Menu.
3. press the arrow keys and select Photo transfer and then press OK.
4. press the arrow keys, and then select Yes.
5. press the arrow keys and select transfer to computer, and then select the name
of your computer.
6 follow the prompts on the screen on your computer to save the photos to your
computer. From what you described, the question is simple, the dialog box does not appear on the computer. What happens if you start it > computer or workstation? Do you see something here that looks like it could be the card into the printer?
Try to leave the printer and unplug the power cable (with the inserted memory card), leave the printer unplugged for about a minute and then plug it back. I want to see if this will push the communication to the computer.
Have you used this memory card in the printer before successfully? I ask because the problem may be the memory card or the memory card reader in the printer. Take a look at this link, memory card troubleshooting.
I hope it's useful. If the problem persists, please return with answers to the questions I asked, I'll gladly do some additional research and return with possible solutions. Please also let me know if you use a Mac or a WIndows OS.

Cannot import pictures from a SD card to Lightroom
I follow the steps: Select source: import > key USB G = SD card (SD card contains raw and jpg files > I tried the copy as DNG and Add.) In both cases, pictures of loading and are active. Then they grey out according to the screenshot of kick. The right of the low 'import' button will become inactive and I can't import the photos. I work on a PC with Windows 10 and CC of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom with all updates to date. Can someone help, please?
You will get if in the management of the files Panel in the upper right corner has "don't import suspected duplicates" checked, if these files were previously imported.

How can I import only the photos on my SD card that have not already been imported? Duplicates take forever and are unnessessary.
My approach to this problem would be to simply copy all and click "No to All" when asked if I want to replace an image. In this way, only the unique copy. In WIndows 7, I would check the option "Do this for the next x conflicts" when specifying 'do not copy '.

Cannot import photos from an SD card.
We have just returned from holiday and having forgotten our SD card, we have reduced the quality of the image on the camera to 1.2 megapixels so that we could store as many photos as possible of our Kodak Easyshare C180 memory. When we returned, we all copied to the SD card and plugged on the F drive. He transferred four pictures and then gave us a message that the drive needed formatting, but when we tried to format it failed. We ended up formating the card after plugging in the camera and repeating everyhting. Plug the SD card in a second time, that we do not get the prompt to format but just a SD file that once we open both automatically and manually, stops responding. We cannot import, copy manually, or see one of the photos once plug us it into the drive, yet the camera bed map very well. I have a HP new with Windows 7.
Thank youEricThe following Kodak document indicates that your camera
a 16 MB internal memory and 11 can be used for photos...I was wondering how many photos you expected to download
the camera? What are the dimensions in pixels of the 4 pictures that you have successfully

I tried to change the attributes for the file I copy TO remove the READ ONLY check. I apply, say ok but when I open it READ-ONLY file is marked again.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
=============================
I do not think that the 'Read only' attribute of your
file is the problem... in fact, it is typical.
All files on my XP Pro system have a
Square marker (not checked) to playback
Only the check box.If you want to experiment the following article...
explains how to change the read-only attribute.(326549) you cannot view or change theRead-only or system attributesin Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, inWindows Vista or Windows 7http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326549/en-usMore information in the following article:
Why can't erase or reading the value
Only attribute checkbox on a folder?
http://www.jimmah.com/Vista/security/read_only_folders.aspxNow for the photos... lets make an experience.
Open your folder my pictures and create a new folder...
File / new / folder... (more on this shortly)Insert your SD card into your Media Player. Do not forget
to slightly press the card at the bottom of the slot.If the Autorun screen opens, close it.
Reach... My computer or on the removable click
Disk that corresponds to the location of your card is in.In the menu... Choose... Explore.
You should be able to see the directory of the card.
Open the folders and find pictures.
Reach... Edition / select all... then... Edition / copy.
Right click on the new folder that you created in my
Images, text and the menu... Choose... Dough.Transfer files or you still receive the error?

I have problems to import photos from the Canon EOS 70 d in Lightroom on a macbook pro
When I try to import photos from my Canon EOS70D in Lightroom, first I get "Preview not available for this file" for all files on the camera. If I check a few photos to import Lightroom said then that's important but the pictures never import and eventually I have to cancel the import. I tried to import a picture and this same thing is happening.
I don't think that is the cable or the camera that I can import into iPhoto from the camera using the same cable.
All advice appreciated.
It's ok thank you, I found the problem. I have to let the camera connected to the laptop for a while. Finally, all files have thumbnails, and then I can import them. I tried before import them too quickly.

Copy / import photos from SD on USB. Error 0 x 80070052.
I am unable to copy or import photos from my SD card to a USB. Error message 0 x 80070052 leaves all the time. Can anyone help please?
Hi Tweet49,
Problem may be due to bad sectors. Let us try the following methods.
Method 1
Analyze the drive for bad sectors.
1. click on start > computer.
2. right click on the map, and then open properties > tools
3. check the box to automatically correct system file and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.
4. try to copy the files
5. If the problem persists, create a new folder and then copy the files.
6. If you are still not able to copy then try the next method.
Method 2
I suggest to format the device, then try to copy music.
7. click on start > computer.
8. right click on the map and choose the Format option.
9. you can choose Fat32 or NTFS.
10. do not select Quick format.
11 try to copy the photos once formatting is complete.
Try this and let us know the result.

I desperately need help! I've been trying to use Lightroom 5, what's new with Nikon d810 also new camera and I'm not able to import photos from the card.
Someone help me please get it going, I'm so frustrated.
Not necessarily. the images on the card could still be corrupted and the jpeg preview is visible in other programs other than LR. Have you noticed the same behavior on multiple cards? If so, it suggests that LR is the culprit. I suggest you save and optimize your LR catalog, and then stop and restart your computer and see if the behavior persists.

Unable to import photos from a new 128 GB card.
I'm unable to import photos from a new SanDisk 128 GB card. I had no problems with 32 GB cards and no other settings have been changed. The files are unzipped an a7rII of Sony RAW files. Message says "no found pictures»
I took another new 128GB card and took a picture. Tried to import and got the same message "no pictures found. When I do this with a 32 GB card, it will recognize the photos. Is there a limit with Lightroom on the size card, that you can use?
You do not use the correct card reader. For these new high-capacity SD cards, you need a compatible card reader.

I can download more pictures from a SD card to Lightroom is. I can download pictures or Aperture but Lightroom CC gives me the error "the following files were not imported because they could be readable." and then it lists all the files on the disc. I shoot in Raw. I know it's a problem because I see the number of entries when I have the problem of google. What I don't see is Adobe recognizing the problem OR suggest a solution. It is a big problem since I have to find ways to get photos in Lightroom. Can you please tell me what I should do to get my pictures downloaded. I had no problem before subscribing to Adobe CC when I used 5 Lightroom.
A changes to privileges stick? Check the folder again. Should look like this - see image. Also check similar to the folder that you copy photos to.
