Importing photos scanned DVD

I just download PES 9 and I am trying to import three DVDs of digital photos.  PES 9 fails to import the 2nd and 3rd dvd because the photo ID is the same on the 2 and 3 disc (each picture is just sequentially numbers 1,2,3, etc..)  Can someone tell me please how to import the 2nd and 3rd dvd.  They are read only and I can rename the files and really wouldn't want to because there is more than 400.  Please help, thanks!

Of course a DVD or a CD is read only... you must use Windows Explorer to copy the files to a folder on your hard drive

You may then click right while files are highlighted and go to display properties WinExplorer to uncheck (and apply) the read-only attribute

Original title: problem with Microsoft Picture It 2002.

I've been using Microsoft Picture It on my computer for several years and I really like the program. I recently had to replace my computer a virus, so I chose to buy a new machine and still run Windows XP as I have been for many years. I reloaded the software on the new machine and everything seems fine until I try to import a scanned photo. It goes through the process of analysis very well, but just as he finished the scan it gives an error message and says he has to end! ?? I remember having the same problem when I first loaded the software on my other computer. At that time I contacted support and they helped me to get into the program and I did some kind of change that solved the problem, with their help. I can't for the life of me remember what it was they had me change?! I found a link to a downloadable patch, but the page is no longer valid. I can't find the answer anywhere! ?? I know that it's a simple solution and I hope someone here can tell me what is this simple fix! ?? Fingers crossed!

Finally, I spotted a link to a working patch that fixed my problem. Looked for a 'pi19299 '. It took awhile to find an active link, but I finally did and it fixed it immediately and my picture it now works fine on my new XP with Internet Explorer Version 8 machine! Hooray!

  • How to stop Windows 7 opening 'imported photos and videos' after each scan an image?

I'm scanning multiple images and after EACH scan, Win7 opens a new window "Imported pictures and videos", despite the window being open 20 times already...

In the import dialog box, deselection 'Open Windows Explorer after import' has no effect.  After each import, a Windows Explorer window appears showing me that the directory of the file has been imported to (i.e. "imported photos and videos").  Worse still, this happens even if another this window is already open - so if (for example), I scan 10 pictures, I have 10 windows explore open all showing this same directory (unless I close them I will).

It's boring, clutters the taskbar and takes expire have to close each window - how are we going to stop Win 7 "Imported photos and videos" opening after each scan?

    Hello Carl,

You attempted to change the option to "Open the Windows Explorer after import" while connected as another user on the computer to see if the problem persists?
Also, have you tried to scan using a different computer to see if we can isolate the problem to a machine?
If you have checked these things and the behavior has not changed, I suggest to leave feedback for the Windows team at this link as an option behaves as expected:

You can select several photos in pictures for Mac at a time. Then use "Set Date and Time" in the picture menu.

This setting of the selected photos capture date and time by the same fixed increment change.

It works well, if the selected photos have been scanned roughly at the same time.  So, choose photos that were analyzed at the same time to adjust.

If you have a photo album with a variety of scanning of the dates, but want to put all the photos on the same fixed date, use an Apple script. I posted a script in the section user Tip (Photos for Mac) that I use for my scans, see: batch Change Date and time on a fixed Date

  • Copy / import photos from SD on USB. Error 0 x 80070052.

    Hi Tweet49,

Problem may be due to bad sectors. Let us try the following methods.

    Method 1

Analyze the drive for bad sectors.

    1. click on start > computer.

    2. right click on the map, and then open properties > tools

    3. check the box to automatically correct system file and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.

    4. try to copy the files

    5. If the problem persists, create a new folder and then copy the files.

    6. If you are still not able to copy then try the next method.

    Method 2

I suggest to format the device, then try to copy music.

    7. click on start > computer.

    8. right click on the map and choose the Format option.

    9. you can choose Fat32 or NTFS.

    10. do not select Quick format.

11 try to copy the photos once formatting is complete.

Try this and let us know the result.

  • How to change the import settings when importing photos

Changing the settings to import photo with Windows 7

I want to change the import for my Canon camera settings when you import pictures using Windows 7.  I had already managed to do it once but to adjust settings again.  However, when I connect my camera to my PC, it starts automatically import photos based on the current settings with no option to change.  Please help - its driving me crazy!

Microsoft seems to be lame on answering machine bugs here and just standard information messages, which of course do not work.

A solution has been validated, in part, to david.gardiner.net.au/2010/02/changing-location-of-pictures-and.html. Maybe there is an easier way.

In the Windows registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Photo Acquisition

There are a number of subkeys. For example, there is a subkey "Camera and Portable device."

Return the next value of AcquisitionFlags to 0 x 82 in the registry key seems to restore the Import Wizard asking you to specify an optional tag and you click again on the link "Import settings":

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Photo Acquisition\Camera and Portable device

To make this change yourself, follow these steps (with the standard warning that change the incorrect Windows registry can completely ruin everything!):

    1. run regedit.exe
2 navigate in the tree of the registry to find the following subkey:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Photo Acquisition\Camera and Portable device

    3. double-click on the value "AcquisitionFlags".
    4. Type "82".
    5. click "OK" and close the registry editor

I had to scan it for my Scanner in the category.

  • How to locate import photo button in the library?

I set up the new computer yesterday (so am new to Windows 8), has been able to import photos from the camera to the image library with no problem to find the import button.  Today photo import button doesn't seem to be there.  Now when I try to import images from the camera they go automatically to a program called Power DVD.  I want to save the pictures in the pictures library but can't seem to get there.  Thought maybe I could copy of PowerDVD & then save in the picture library, but could not find a way to do it.  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Looks like that PowerDVD has diverted from your settings for images.

To go back as it was, do the following:

    1. On your screen, type the word AutoPlay (you will see search results appear as you type)
    2. Choose the AutoPlay settings, then change to use the Photos App instead of powerdvd when you connect your camera.
  • Importing photos is no longer imports of Canon EOS 20 d

Since the update to IOS 10/Sierra, the Photos is not automatically import photos from my camera. Previously, I would like to connect the camera to the USB port, open iPhotos and he would start the import process. I've rechecked through Capture of Image and importer self that my camera is recognized as a device. I have started and restarted several times; and double checked that my camera (Canon EOS 20 d) is compatible with the Sierra. My camera always does not appear as a device in Photos. Help, please!

  • Importing Photos lack a lot of photos

When I plug my iphone to my MacBook Pro, the photos app appears to import the photos. Great, that's what I want! I want just all the picture files in a folder where I can connect to Picasa, which is at the same time a place I have backup source, etc. Duplicates doesn't bother me, but I don't want to miss anything.

But when I go to the tab import, it shows my iphone but there are only 42 'News Photos' to import. My phone lists 610 photos under "All Photos". I would like to re - import all these to make sure that I don't miss any. I know that some are duplicates, I will sort that out later with other techniques. But I can not find only these 42 random photos that are new... where di the rest to go! The mac is restarted and phone has not changed anything.

Where I have pictures imported from this phone previously is a complicated story. Probably I was confused at one point and abandoned a partial import, etc. (so many apps to try do.. photos, iphoto, sometimes iCloud, sometimes AirDrop,... oh my). And I certainly imported to a PC several times to clear the phone memory that I can't do it this time because of access restrictions on this computer. So that part is my fault.

Is there a way to 'reset' what pictures are seen on this phone like new by Photos app? I google endlessly for this solution, which only seems to show solutions for the PC where I delete the .db files. But no solution, I saw worked for the mac and the memory becomes full.

Hello and welcome to Apple support communities, PumpkinInPortland.

If I understand your post right, you are wanting to do a new import all photos on your iPhone to your Mac, so that even the pictures that have already been imported are imported again. I certainly understand wanting to make sure that you do not miss the photos and I'm happy to help you to do.

It is not a way to reset the photos the Photos app sees it as 'new', but there is another way to get all your imported photos. The best way to do it is with Capture of Image instead of the Photos app. Take a look at the steps on how to do that here: Capture of Image: transfer images and other elements of your device after you have successfully imported your pictures from your iPhone, if you want to move to Photos on your Mac, you can do so by dragging the folder of photos from the Finder application to the pictures window.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

    Take care.

I even created a new phone password just to see if it would work, and he never even gave me a chance to enter one. • Imported photos display is no longer in 'Photo', is this a library problem?

My imported photos and videos are in the library, but not visible in Photo mode, from a few months ago.  They are all visible in the "all photos" album, however.  How can I fix it?

The most common cause is bad dates on photos so you seek all simply in the right place - right click in all the Photos (which are sorted by date added) and select slide show in the command of moments - should open the window of moments with your displayed photos and then you will see the date of issue

Moments if not open with your photo showing then you have a corrupted - library save your photo library and press the command and option keys while launching Photos and repair yoru database - Note This will trigger a new total to iCloud library download if you use

  • photos from iPhoto import photos

Upgrade to El Capitan, all of my photos in iPhoto doesn't import it to Photos (only a 70 random 16 000 imported photos) and I can't seem to import manually as 'iPhoto Library' is grayed out when I try to import. All photos (16,000) are saved on an external drive. How can I get the Photo to read photos iPhoto from the external drive?

You can have more than one iPhoto library. Normally, when the photo is launched, it assumes that your main iPhoto library is on the boot volume, in your pictures folder.

Check the size of the PhotosLibrary file created in your users > your account > pictures folder. Move it out (you can remove it later). Pictures of launch with down option, select the main iPhoto library to migrate. Give it time, it is a slow process.
