Importing Raw of Panasonic G7

Hello

I just bought a Panasonic G7 and problems to import raw file images. The preview does not display the image and watch the preview is not available and when I import raw files I get the error messgae if the file format is not recognized! I am under Lightroom 5.7.1.

Any help?

See you soon

Robinsky

This camera has been initially supported by Lightroom 6.1, this is the reason why you run on this issue using 5.7.1. You will either need an upgrade to 6.1 (or later) or use the free DNG Converter utility to convert your files to DNG. • Import RAW files as a b & W images?

    Hello

I'm a long-time user LR and just upgraded to LR4, but who have a camera (Panasonic Lumix LX3) LR import raw such as bw images. I can't understand why?
I checked the import settings (DNG imports) (apply predefined > None) etc. When I look in the history panel after importing it just said the imported date, no indication of conversion to body weight.

Of course, I can just convert them to color in the Panel to develop, but I do not understand why this is the case and only this camera files (my guns all import them as usual)?
    Thanks for all the ideas.

    Alan.

It is likely that you have changed the default settings inadvertently develop Adobe (which can be applied for specific devices only). To check, take one of these 'B & W' images in the develop module, press on and hold that the SHIFT key and the reset button on the bottom right will change... on "Reset (Adobe)" click on it and the image should go back to the color. If so, yes you have changed the default settings. To fix, go to develop > set defaults, then click on restore default settings Adobe.

  • Problem to import raw of Alexa

    Hello

I tried to import raw files grows on a mini Alexa.

Unfortunately, I got a message in first CC 2015 saying that it doesn't recognize the file, or they are corrupt (not sure of the exact error in English cause I'm working on a version in french). I'm on a macpro.

The files are on an external hard drive. I thought that the problem could be the link to that but copy a map on the computer does not resolve the problem.

I tried to import it on 2 other computers and it does not work either.

Any idea anyone? I'm a little lost. I'm doing something wrong? It does not work with media encode either. for now I am to convert the files with converter ARRI (which works fine).

Thanks in advance for your help

    Hi eahyeahyeahye,

It seems that we do not support raw ARRI Alexa Mini, now files.

  • Import RAW images in too small magnifying glass

Hey guys, I just started my transition from Nikon DSLR to M43 with an Olympus OM - D EM5 ii. I'm having a problem when I try to import raw files into Lightroom. For some reason, Lightroom is not properly rendered preview. As you can see from the photos below, choose 'Fit' is not in fact the image of the loop. In addition, choose zoom 1:1 does not increase my zoom at all. 2:1 and more zoom more, however, it is pixelated. I can't understand why it's different than my Nikon imports. Everyone knows about this problem before? I have provided photos and attached the RAW file. I use Lightroom 6 for PC

So just to be clear, that you suggest that the embedded jpg is too small to give insight in the import menu?

The preview that appears in the LR 6.6.1 module import is 1000 x 750. I extracted the preview built-in with the help of ExifTool and it is 3200 x 2400. For some reason, LR resizes the built-in preview, which is not normal behavior. I suggest this report as a 'problem' here: Photoshop community customer family

    FensterB wrote:

If this is the case, do you find that it is better to import them all, then library view to select and delete?

As Just Shoot Me explained the import module is not the right place to review images. Import all image files in a single Destination folder where you want to keep them permanently (not temporary). At the speed of the import process select under file > build Previews > is 'Embedded or Sidecar' or 'Standard '. Embeded or Sidecar will provide faster import and allow full display screen if your screen resolution is no more than the built-in preview 3200 x 2400 resolution. If your screen is a higher resolution than that you will need to select "Standard". If you absolutely need to examine images for 1:1 you can select 1:1 in the menu dropdown to Import module "previews to build."

Then use tools compare, choose flag, Star Rating, color, keyword and Collection of the library module to review and organize your image files. Once done, you can select all of the 'set as rejected' beating flag image files and delete them. Julianne Kost has some video tutorials. • questions to import raw images

try to import raw images in LightRoom 5 and continues to receive "the file is not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom. (1)

I downloaded the DNG Converter and have updated to Lightroom and am still not able to get them to import. I use a Nikon d5500 has been added.

    I'm just missing something simple?

The d5500 has been added requires at least 6 of Lightroom. There will be no more updates to Lightroom 5, so your only choice is to use the DNG Converter. You have indicated that you have downloaded the DNG Converter. Some people assume that's all that is needed. However, you must use the DNG Converter, which is a standalone program, to create copies of your raw DNG files. Here is a video that will show you how to use the DNG Converter. And, by the way, you should at least use DNG converter 9.0. You may also download and use the latest version.

Camera Raw: How to use Adobe DNG Converter - YouTube

Note that when you use the DNG Converter you choose a FOLDER that contains your NEF files. Choose the FOLDER, but do not open the file in the DNG Converter. If you do, then you will get the message that there is no file to be converted. Of course, you have the option to upgrade to Lightroom 6 or subscribe to plan creative cloud photography.

Outside of Lightroom 3 does not not with this device, it is also not compatible with el capitan AFAIK. This is probably why the import screen does not yet work for JPEG files.

  • import raw files into bright room

Could not import raw (NEF) files in lightroom - preview not available for this file

The XMP files should not make a difference. If you happened to have used Nikon Transfer to download images of your D7200, that might be the problem. Some versions of this program are known to make the images unreadable by Adobe software. If this is what happened, here is a utility that you can download that is supposed to fix the images so that they open in Lightroom:

For more information, please check your Lightroom screen subject for the exact version of the program that you are running.

  • Could not import raw NEF images in items 10

Can someone help me please? I have already installed an update of the plugin and restarted my computer.

I have a Nikon D 750, which had to be supported with the latest plugin download.

    Melissa,

I did some googling, and it seems that your D750 needs 8.7 ACR (Adobe Camera Raw version 8.7).  My camera needs ACR 8.3, but apparently 11 elements does not support this update. I have a feeling that your 10 PES is the same (no support ACR 8.7) for your camera.

    So, we can:

    (1) use the supplied software to Nikon for RAW files, convert to jpeg, and then open in PSE,

    (2) download: free Adobe, something called a converter DNG (?) that creates a DNG file to open to post-secondary studies, or

    (3) buy a newer version of elements, where the version supported with ACR IS compatible with your camera

I'm not sure 100% accuracy of this info, but so far, that's what I found. Personally, I do not have these options.  I want to be able to work in PSE raw, but having to spend ANOTHER $100 or so just for this feature seems wrong.

    Hi Bobsirkus,

The camera you have is compatible with the latest version of Lightroom, which is Lightroom 6/CC.

Please see the list of the camera supported by Lightroom: supported by Adobe Camera Raw devices

You can use the DNG Converter, converts images and then import them into DNG in Lightroom.

    Eugen

DJ, the version number is in the subject line: 5.7.1. It's weird because this version should support the D5300 very well. My main guess would be a bad player or a bad USB cable.

Eugen, you can try plug the camera directly and download the images like this?

  • Impossible to import RAW Nikon D810 to LR5, IMac user

Just started using a D810 and impossible to import RAW files into LR5. I am a user of the IMac. What I am doing wrong. No update is required, so Adobe said. Can anyone help? Thank you.

With the help of Nikon Transfer is not necessary, but if you are going to use, make sure that you use the latest version of the software. It is a well-known problem that using old versions of Nikon Transfer on new NAVE of new camera models format files will corrupt the NEF files in transit.
