Impossible to establish a network connection on PC
Hello
We recently bought a new router Sitecom, because our old one (also Sitecom) has problems due to old age.
I was able to connect after a little violin on my laptop (HP Pavilion with Windows Vista), but my father could not directly on his PC (LG with XP Professional).
The thing he does find the network, try to connect to it, fail, and then try again throughout all the centuries.
I started the PC in safe mode with networking and connected options just right here, not a single question.
Anyone know how I can connect normally?
Surprisingly, this seemed to have himself cleared up somehow.
I don't know how, but my father juggle with it and he's got to work one way or another without having to remove Norton.
Thank you very much for your help!

Hello world
I had a problem there not too long ago (thread link below) where my ESXi hosts could not establish a connection with an IBM DS3500 on start up and "rescan", however their connectivity worked correctly without any problem after commissioning and when a "rescan" finished. We determined that the most likely cause was the unit IBM itself. However, I wasn't completely satisfied.
In order to deepen the question and dismiss my guests being the problem, I created a unit ISCSI myself with two new hosts of ESXi 5.1 (version 1157734).
The configuration is the following:
Test environment:
2 x ESXi 1157734 hosts
1 x server Freenas ISCSI (ZFS R10)
At the start of my ESXi hosts in the test environment, download the same error as our production environment. They also put on the same error message (in the event log) when I "rescan" map of the ISCSI software. However, once the scan is finished, I can't see any error message and everything continues as it should (Round robin, active active). I can get a brilliant flow also. It's as if the errors are almost... false positives?
Example of the error message (test environment):
Connection to the iSCSI target
IQN.2011 - 03.org.example.istgt:iscsi on vmhba35
@ vmk2 has failed. The iSCSI initiator couldn't
establish a network connection to the target.
error
17/10/2013-08:33:35
ESXi hosts are configured as follows:
Test environment:
- (ESXi hosts) Two network cards for ISCSI, one for VM traffic
- NIC1: 10.20.20.2/24, NIC2: 10.30.30.2/24
- (Freenas) Two network cards installed on the ISCSI device (dedicated to ISCSI traffic)
- NIC1: 10.20.20.1/24, NIC2: 10.30.30.1/24
- ESXi is set to round robin, which works properly (I can max on both ports at the same time)
- Two VMKs are related to the ISCSI Software initiator and defined to dynamically discover the two ISCSI addresses
- Unity of ISCSI and the hosts are not on the VLAN, the switch is dedicated to ISCSI traffic (However in the production, the two networks are separated by VLAN.) I removed the in the test environment to simplify everything)
- The vSwitches (who hold a single VMK for ISCSI) are fixed:
- "Promiscuous" mode: reject
- Change of MAC address: accept
- Forged passes: accept
- The traffic shaping: disabled
- No NIC teaming (obviously)
- Each VMK inherits the settings of these
Quick points:
- My hosts use VMware approved NIC in my test environment. My production environment runs on full VMware hardware approved
- Can I use ping of vmk join each each VMK ISCSI initiator
- I can use the nc-z target_ip 3260 command to check connectivity to the port
- The ISCSI test has two network adapters, each on 1 Gbps ports
- I can get around 800mbps per port when copying lots of files (both ports are active)
- I see no error in copying a large number of virtual machines around, or backup files
- I only see errors on start up and "rescan".
- I have two network adapters on each host ESXi dedicated for ISCSI. Each NETWORK card has a single VMK. A single mapped port on ISCSI, the other is mapped to port B (I used to have two VMKs by nic, but I removed that in order to simplify everything)
- I have updated the firmware on our switch of production. No results
- I've used 4 different switches in order to avoid a network problem. No results
- I tested ESXi versions 5.0, 5.1 (799733 & 1157734), all have the same mistakes
- The ISCSI ports are on different networks according to the VMware (I was told not to put on the same network VMKs)
Any ideas? It's starting to drive me up the wall. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I've seen several times in recent months and was beginning to think it is specific to the HP P2000 units because it's the only time wherever I saw him! I now believe that ESX/iSCSI rather than issues of driver or table.
On my last install, I found that errors occur as soon as the table is connected, i.e. before any storage is displayed.
Single host ESX, no guests. 2 Intel adapters to 2 HP past by dedicated HP P2000 1 GB table with all 8 wired ports.
All roads are good, all lights are in the State expected.
It did not affect the use of the storage in question to any site, so there has been no need / a momentum of any further investigation.
B! 886y annoying however!

I'm tryng to connect wirelessly between my laptop and printer but I am unable to do so.
My laptop finds the printer and when I go to add the device I invite me to "Enter the WPS PIN code for your printer". So, I printed out the Configuration Page of the network and it gives me the "wi - fi direct password", which I suppose is the password that is required to establish that it connection (I may be wrong in my explanation). However, when I type the password on my laptop it does not establish the connection. I said "try to add the printer again, or check with the manufacturer for addiitonal installation instructions.
Any insght and assistance is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Hello
You should searh for your wifi network at home and connect your printer and the laptop to the network. Direct WiFi option is really only for configurations that do not have a modem/router.
You may need to disable the option Wireless directly on your printer to help the wireless configuration.

Hei guys,.
Please help me on this one because I'm stuck enough on her...
I am trying to connect to a Cisco 3700 router configured as a VPN server by using a VPN client and the VPN connection does not settle.
This is an extract from the log:

SEND to > ISAKMP OAK INFO (NOTIFY: INVALID_HASH_INFO) for 200.100.50.173I enclose the whole journal extract... The message "BOLD" is quite obvious, you mean, but I'm 100% sure, in the login entry, I typed correctly the group password: pass
My topology is very basic, as I am setting this up only to get a clue of the operation of the Cisco VPN. It is built in GNS3:
-2 3700 routers: one of them holds the configuration of the VPN server and the other would be the ISP through which the remote worker would try to establish a VPN connection. I am also attaching the configuration file for the router configured as a VPN router.Behind the second router there is a virtual XP machine on which I have installed VPN client...
My connection entry in the customer is to have the following parameters:
Host: 200.100.50.173 , //which is the IP address of the VPNServer
Authentication-> authentication-> name group: grup1 password: pass / / I'm quite positive that I typed the correct password... even if the log messages are linked to a misidentification.I use public addresses only, because I noticed there is a question about behind the NAT VPN connections and is not not very familiar to the NAT.
Another aspect which can be of any importance is that "allow Tunneling of Transport" in the tab Transport to the input connection is disabled
and the VPNServer router logs the following error message when you try to establish the connection:
* 01:08:47.147 Mar 1: % CRYPTO-6-IKMP_NOT_ENCRYPTED: IKE 200.100.50.34 package was not encrypted and it should have been.
* 01:08:47.151 Mar 1: % CRYPTO-6-IKMP_NOT_ENCRYPTED: IKE 200.100.50.34 package was not encrypted and it should have been. You have no idea why I can't connect? Y at - it something wrong with my configuration of VPN server... or with the connection entry in the VPN client?
Thank you
Iulia
Depending on the configuration of the router, the group name is grup1 and the password is baby.
You also lack the ipsec processing game that you would need to apply to the dynamic map.
Here is an example configuration for your reference:

Hope that helps.

Problem to install Oracle 11 g - impossible to establish a remote connection
In short:
I just installed Oracle 11 g and created a data base and the headset, but I'm unable to connect remotely with a customer database.
My environment:
Oracle 11g is installed on a VirtualBox (4.3.18) Red Hat Linux 6.5 VM. The host operating system is Mac OS X Yosemite. Linux VM is assigned a static ip address and the host and vm have host entries to resolve this name server:
192.168.58.152 rhel65opdev-vm
I am able to ping rhel65opdev-vm from these two places.
Host: 64 bytes from 192.168.58.152: icmp_seq = 0 ttl = 64 time = 0,287 ms
VM: 64 bytes of rhel65opdev-vm (192.168.58.152): icmp_seq = 1 ttl = 64 time = 0.027 ms
I am also able to ssh into the Linux vm without problem. If I try to telnet to the virtual machine on the port of configured database:
= > telnet rhel65opdev-vm 1521
192.168.58.152 by train...
Telnet: connect to address 192.168.58.152: connection refusedTelnet: unable to connect to the remote host
Login as a user other my oracle on the same VM user, can I tnsping data base successfully:

OK (10 ms)
The same user non-oracle, I am able to do appear SQLDeveloper and establish a connection with the database and check its schema. But on the Mac, I am unable to use (the Mac version of) SQLDeveloper to do the same. I get an error: IO error: the network adapter could not establish the connection. Code 17002 provider.
I have another Red Hat 6.5 virtual VM from where I'm modeling this new machine, which has the same version of Oracle on it, installed and working (which I myself installed without problem, but a long time ago). I am able to connect remotely to this base since my Mac using Toad and SQLDeveloper without problem and I can telnet to port of database and there is no problem.
I point out that I recently removed from the database and reinstalled. I have created only one service: OP, but the OPXDB see below seems to be a previous installation, which can contribute to my question - not sure.
Here are a few releases of various orders, I tried following suggestions I've seen on different threads, I found through research:

Impossible to establish a wireless connection on the Satellite
Hi all
I am desperate because I implemented an env wireless in my house, and all my machines work fine except the toshiba one.
In fact I see the network wireless only in Intel tools, then I click the button connect and get connected a second and the GET disconnected (but wireless is always visible from the laptop.
Where do you think the problem?
Router wireless card or the problem is in the toshiba.Note that I'm able to make the system operational wireless on another without any problem.
Thank you for your quick feedback on this issue.
Best regards.Hello
Not easy to say what could be wrong or what might help.
You must see this:-> try to update the WLan card driver
-> check the WLan card driver and advanced properties tab more you could disable option economic power.
-> try to use own windows Wlan connectivity
-> disable the encryption on the router and try to connect without any security option. -
On a Pavilion p6340f, I have installed the software update driver for the printer B210a Photosmart Plus to go with Windows installed 10 (all updates installed successfully). Installation crashes when searching network environment. Printer is on and accessible on a portable Windows 10 separate network. The software works on laptop after repeated tests (finally put in place), but I can't do on the desktop Pavilion. Print and scan the doctor search network and printer with no problems. Firewall is not a problem.

After a lot of use of this feature of Pro Photo Tools to secure the location for my images geotagged information, I am not not able to do. The error message indicates, as seen above, I am unable to connect to "Windows Live Local." I have Windows XP Pro with service pack 3. I reinstalled Photo Pro and nothing has changed. My Images are jpeg. But being the difficulty in logging on to Windows Live Local, these things, I think, are not important. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Impossible to establish a TLS connection to the POP3 server
I tried to reset my server outbound STARTTLS as suggested in one of your help pages so I can send on behalf of my 3 accounts with the appropriate server outgoing SMPT
But now I can't retrieve messages and even when I put back to its initial position, I still get no emails.
The impression that I totally stuffed up, but none of your suggestions of help pages seem to solve my dilemma.
Would appreciate some advice on how to get out of here.
Thank you

I found the problem (s), even if I am always left with a few questions.
During this process, I have disabled the firewall, but that did not help. However, I noticed 'tweaks' accessed via the tab 'Advanced' in 'Microsoft Firewall' which looked like, they must be checked in order to access the internet. I checked these and reintroduced the firewall. After I got things working, I unchecked them and things still worked so I obviously don't understand what these parameters.
The solution:
(1) I have to go straight from the modem cable to the computer. I can't have a cable modem, router wireless, computer, even if using hard wire, and even if this same configuration works with another computer. Also, I can't use a cable length to go from modem to the computer. So, it seems to have had a problem of cable length. Power problem? Only connected to this computer devices are the mouse, the keyboard and the Ethernet. Would not this be fixed with an upgrade of the power supply? Or is it due to the quality of the Ethernet hardware on the motherboard? It's a Dell Vostro 200.
(2) in back and forth between configurations while following the problem, you must think to unplug the modem to reset between each configuration. You may have stumbled upon the solution, otherwise he's not shot. Also, I unplugged the cable from the modem when you reset data cable - do not know if it was necessary. I wanted to limit the degrees of freedom that I had a lot, as it was.

I can establish an internet connection via internet explore using a router at home, but whenever I try to connect using firefox, it said that it is impossible to connect.
One possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or limits Firefox without you informing on this subject, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.
Delete all rules for Firefox in the list of permissions in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container.
