Impossible to install oracle XE on windows 2000 Professional

Hi master,

in fact, I tried to install the oracle database XE on windows 2000 Professional service pack 4 Administrator.

but this isn't installing.i do not know why it is also not create necessary directories.although it shows the entire process, but nothing works very well.

What additional configuration should be made to install XE on NT? I consult the docs also but got no response.

What should do?

Thanks and greetings
VD

Vikrant,

Check the Setup logs. IE: preference before asking here... You post a question that requires crystal balls, and my only assumption (probably safe) is you either didn't check the system requirements to install Oracle or you missed an error message.

Previously, I had a compatibility issue when installing Oracle Developer (forms, Designer, reports and JDeveloper10g), I corrected as saying that must be run on Windows XP SP2, and that did the trick. But I don't see anything about compatibility via the google search for this problem.

Impossible to install Google Chrome on Windows 7
After downloading and installing Google chrome program does not open.
    Help, please

    Hello

When you uninstall Google Chrome you also remove the Chrome files that remain when the program is removed?  Verify that no files have been left after uninstalling.  The path to check (with hidden files showing) is:

    C:\Users\\AppData\Local

There you should see a folder with the name Google remove this folder and try to reinstall.  To get hidden files to show the computer open, select organize in the toolbar area.  We see the choice of folder and Search Options.  Click on that.  From there click on the view tab.  There is the option to show hidden files.  This will allow you to find the necessary space to remove the folder.

    Hi guys!

However, I don't have the original recovery disk, although I own an original copy of Windows 2000 Professional.

Would it not be possible to do a full format and install windows 2000? Or would I meet problems, for example with driver problems, later? I know computers cell phones can be a bit of a nuisance when it comes to facilities OS!

  • Windows 2000 Professional and X 61, X61s

    Hello

    • Anyone know if we can install and use windows 2000 Professional on a X 61/X61s (stata questions?)? Is - this dangerous (drivers, potential property damage)?
    • Some drivers are available for windows 2000 Professional. It's loaded with windows 2000 pro recovery disks in?
    • It will improve the battery life?

    Thank you.

Hi, I had installed on my x 61 for about a year with zero problems of win2k. the reason why I went finally xp was due to new standards unavaiable on 2 k (wga, video hi-def, sdhc, etc.)

Oh, one thing that does not work: on the card reader sdhc cards. This isn't really a big problem because lack of wga could be...

for the sata issue I can think of two options: integrate or start in compatibility mode, install the drivers and drivers switch to sata.

    Good luck
