Impossible to install QuickTime for Windows 7 64 bit?

For some reason, I wasn't able to install the Quick Time plug-in on a 64-bit Windows 7 OS.

I noticed members comment on in the Apple forum, two years ago on this issue,.

    Hello

    You mean SP1?

    Click Start > right click on computer > left click on properties > see if you have Vista 32 bit or Vista 64-bit installed.

    It will also tell you here what Service Packs, if any, are already installed.

    Then, choose the download of 'bit' OK to use to install Service Packs, first of all the installation of SP1.

  • How can I download itunes and quicktime for windows 7 (64 bit)

    I'm trying to download the most recent, or any other version of itunes on my PC which has Windows 7 (64-bit).  I don't have Quicktime and looking to download or install Itunes or each, quicktime and itunes, separately (everything is better and market).

    The problem is that my PC with Windows 7 is 64-bit and I can't find the right version/s download.

    Facts: firstly - I downloaded itunes and received an error that I need to download QuickTime, then I downloaded quicktime with itunes and and received an error message that qtime was for 32 not 64 bit and I need the 64-bit version.  I can't find the combo of the two download requests or quicktime on its own compatible for windows 7 64 bit.

    Help, please...

    You can find good download here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ you want to check the box at the bottom (64-bit) (circle).

    iTunes and Quicktime are installed as part of the same package.

  • Problems to install iTunes for Windows 7 (64 bit) 11.0.2.26

    I was trying to install the latest version of iTunes - I managed to download the program successfully, but for some reason, it doesn't install not - is the only error message I received, "errors occurred during installation before iTunes could be configured.

    Hi Kim,

    Thanks for posting this question in the Microsoft Community.

    1. what security software is installed?

    2 is the issue limited to the installation of itunes?

    3. don't you make changes to the computer before this problem?

    Here are the steps to install itunes on Windows 7 computer:

    1 - Go to the download page for iTunes, and then select the option "11.0.1 for Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 iTunes' at the top of the page.

    2 remove the checks of the 'write to me on iTunes news and offers special iTunes' and 'Keep Me Up to Date with Apple News' boxes if you do not want to receive e-mail from Apple.

    3 - Click on the button "Download now". The site provides a field where you can enter your e-mail address, but you can leave the field blank. Save the utility installation on the desktop iTunes.

    4. open "iTunesSetup.exe" when the download is complete. After a moment, a window titled "iTunes + QuickTime" appears. Click "Next".

    5 - Click on the radio button at the bottom of the window to indicate your acceptance of the license terms for the software from Appleand then click "Next".

    6 - click on "install" to complete the installation of iTunes on the computer. The computer may take a few minutes to complete the download, copy and install the data files for iTunes and QuickTime.

    7 - click 'Finish' to begin to use iTunes when the Setup utility displays a "congratulations" message

  • What are the best practices to install drivers for Windows 7-64 bit?

    I have HP Pavilion dv6-1115e laptop, which Windows Vista was the original OS. Recently I upgraded to Windows 7-64 bit version, but I still use pilots who originallay came for Windows Vista (no problem at all for the moment). Now I have thoughts of installing drivers that are specifically for Windows 7 64 bit to improve performance. So what I need to first uninstall each software driver and then install the new versions OR I can install them without deleting the previous versions? It would lead to a kind of shock?

    Hello:

    Normally you can just update the drivers without uninstalling existing, unless the installation instructions will tell you to do.

    Some driver packages will automatically uninstall the old drivers before installing new.

    More simply install on the current criteria. I rarely uninstall drivers before updating them.

    After you update a driver, you must always check the tab driver in the Device Manager for the device that you updated to ensure that the new driver installed. You can check this tab before update and then after you updated to note the date/version of the pilot before and the driver date and version later.

    If for some reason, there was no change, then I uninstall the current driver and try reinstalling the newest one.

    Others may have different opinions.

  • Cannot install Quicktime for Windows XP - "network resource is unavailable.

    OK, here are a few basic rules on this issue:

    1. I use Quicktime.msi version 7.72.80.56 on a Windows XP system.

    2 Quicktime MUST be installed from a batch file.  Do not ask why or try to tell me how to do that or tell me there is more easy or better ways to do it.  If you can't help with an command line to the batch file install only, please do not respond.

    3. it is a new PERFECTLY any new installation of Windows XP.  There is NOTHING else on this system.  There has been NO other program of ANY SORT (not Quicktime, not ITunes, not any program from any provider never) installed before on this OS at all.  This operating system has already been used for any purpose.  There was not a single open web page, not only one other task run manually after the installation.  These are all FACTS that are not open to speculation or discussion.  If you want to try to tell me that something is corrupt in my operating system or that there is another program interfering, or that I have a virus, don't answer please.

    4 ONLY Quicktime must be installed.  Period.  If you want tell me trying to install ITunes, or a 3rd party, program, please do not respond.

    Sorry to be a jerk to this topic but I've lost all patience with people who try to tell me that I don't want what I said I mean really or I want something different than what I said that I wanted.  I don't want really really exactly what I'm saying I want.  Trying to prove that you know more that I am offering opinions as to why I should use some program 3rd party or saying that I would not install from a batch file does nothing more to irritate me and lost time that all parties concerned should focus on more useful efforts.

    Now to the questions:

    I try to install Quicktime via a batch file.  I have extracted the QuickTime.msi, AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi, and AppleApplicationSupport.msi (from QuickTimeInstaller.exe with switch/extract) in the C:\Windows folder.  My batch file is also located there.  Here's what I have in the batch file (only functional lines, other unrelated stuff has been removed):

    @echo installation QuickTime.msi (1/3)

    msiexec /i "C:\Windows\QuickTime.msi" / passive DESKTOP_SHORTCUTS = No. SCHEDULE_ASUW = 0 ASUWINSTALLED = 0

    @echo 1/3 installed!

    @echo installation QuickTime.msi (2/3)

    msiexec /i "C:\Windows\AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi" / passive

    @echo 2/3 installed!

    @echo installation QuickTime.msi (3/3)

    msiexec /i "C:\Windows\AppleApplicationSupport.msi" / passive

    @echo 3/3 installed!

    del %SystemRoot%\Tasks\AppleSoftwareUpdate.job

    This operation fails with no feedback at all.

    Then I tried to type manually in the following:

    msiexec /i "C:\Windows\QuickTime.msi".

    This translates into a window telling me that it can't find QuickTime.msi and it is looking for the following: c:\docume~1\benchm~1\locals~1\temp\ixp927.tmp.  There no record on the system named point mark, or anything similarly similar to this name.  This is an invalid path and name of the file on this computer.

    If I press the Browse button and point to the correct location for QuickTime.msi (C:\Windows), it will work correctly, but is not an option.  It must run unattended and automatically since the batch file.

    Is there a switch (or any other means without assistance) to indicate to the program that QuickTime.msi is located in C:\Windows?  I also tried:

    msiexec /i "% ~ dp0QuickTime.msi" and it also fails.

    The extracted .msi files are not corrupt, they will install if I run them manually, but still, this is not an option.

  • Impossible to install iTunes on Windows 10 (64-bit)

    If all this started because I had problems of synchronization via USB cable. "Connection" would be constantly. I tried different cables, different ports, nothing worked and the next tip was to reinstall iTunes. But then iTunes has never really disappeared and when he relocated, nothing was different. So I started researching... and removed everything according to the instructions here: troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates

    During troubleshooting, I did it by using the windows control panel and an app called Total Uninstall. I also used CCleaner after uninstalling. All this and I still can't get iTunes to install. If I use the generic version of the Web site, I get the following error:

    "A later version of Apple Application Services (64-bit) is already installed."

    Of course, it is not installed. It does not appear in the Panel, Total Uninstall, or in the Windows Installer Clean up App, I've seen suggested elsewhere.

    OK, while I've read about this version of iTunes for "older video card" that is supposed to work with Windows 64-bit 10. I downloaded that. Uninstalled everything that was there, once again (in order). Restarted. Ran as administrator - but he gets to "starting services" bombs and then restores. It installs AAS, Hello and Apple update. If the internet tells me that there is a problem with Apple Mobile Device Services. I unpacked the installer, tried just to install the amendments and get:

    "A later version of the Apple Mobile Device service is already installed"

    Alert to despoil: it is not. There is no services with the word "Apple" running at all on the machine. There is no folder in Program Files or Program Files (x 86) under common files.

    I'm completely stuck. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the so many things so many times and so many tools, I don't know where to go next. I'm about to use a wipe completely formatted HD and the new installation of Windows, but I bet that iTunes has found a way to bury itself in the diet so that even this will not provide a clean slate.

    Any ideas on what I can do given what has already been attempted?

    Thank you!

  • Impossible to install KB2931354 on Windows Vista 32-bit SP2

    Done through Windows Update, it fails with the error code 80070027.  In fact with the patch downloaded Windows6. 0-KB2931354-x 86.msu, it fails with "the following updates were not installed: update security for Windows (KB980842).

    To resolve this problem, I tried:

    Resolutions in https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/883825

    Method 1 - restart.

    Method 2 - Start the computer in safe mode with networking support. This computer is connected to a network (do not use a modem) and Windows Update does not load in safe mode with networking support.

    Method 3 - perform a clean boot the computer, and then install the update.

    Method 4 - temporarily disable spyware and antivirus software.

    Method 5 - temporarily disable firewalls.

    Resolutions in https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/kb/971058

    Method 1 - automatically reset the Windows Update components with the download of Microsoft Fixit.  I ran it several times until all problem areas shows a checkmark as being corrected.

    Method 2 - manually reset the Windows Update components.  All steps have been completed successfully, with the exception of the appidsvc to stop (step 2 - error was that the service did not exist), registration dll (step 6) and install the latest Windows (c:\windows\system32\wuaueng.dll) Update Agent (step 11 - no standalone download, it does not exist for Vista but c:\windows\system32\wuaueng.dll is the latest version - 7.6.7600.256).

    Upon registration of the dll, a long list could not be saved.  Browseui.dll qmgr.dll and mshtml.dll, shdocvw.dll failed with the error 'the module was loaded but the entry point DllRegisterServer was not found' and msxml.dll, gpkcsp.dll, sccbase.dll, slbcsp.dll, initpki.dll, wuaueng1.dll, c:\windows\system32\dllcache\wucltui.dll, wuweb.dll, c:\windows\system32\muweb.dll, failed with the error "failed to load module.

    Method 1 - Download and install the updates manually.

    Method 2 - remove earlier versions of the .NET Framework and then install all versions of the .NET Framework.

    Due to the KB980842 error when you try to patch manually, I also tried to look to the top of this Knowledge Base article.  He referenced KB982533 - who had a patch.  When I tried to apply the Windows6 file. 0-KB982533-x 86.msu, the error was "this update does not apply to your system.

    I also applied Windows6. 0-KB947821-v35-x 86.msu (System for Windows Vista Update Readiness Tool).  That has been recommended as a possible solution in one of the pages on the repair of Windows Update - I do not remember now that one.

    At this point, Google and me are ideas.

    Solved by formatting and reinstalling Windows Vista.

    Your keyboard might not be hitting the correct letters (typing lertters numbers) because your shift caps lock is enabled (the led is green), to disable it on a portable computer, press on the 'fn + caps lk' keys at the same time, the green light should turn off.

  • Cannot install updates for Windows 7 SP1

    Hello

    I tried for awhile now to switch to Windows 10 without luck ( http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-win_upgrade/windows-7-key-not-recognized/9a66ab9a-819a-4285-9461-64e7528db222?tm=1450545430339&auth=1 ). In the end, I decided to reinstall Windows 7 RTM, install all updates and then upgrade to Windows 10.

    Unfortunately, I seem to be impossible to install updates for Windows 7 now. Everything was going fine until Windows Update Agent 7.6.7600.320 installed. After a few mistakes, WU start looking for updates for hours. I've tried everything as suggested here without a bit of luck. In the end, I decided to leave it to search through the night and finally it does find and download updates about 300.

    Installation of these updates takes about 4 hours and Windows restarted and tried to configure the new updates, restarted saying once again he could not configure the updates of Windows and it will undo the changes. And it's been like that for over an hour.

    So as soon as now I can not even update Windows 7, not to mention the upgrade of Windows 10.  Any ideas? I'm sick of the Windows updates, causing problems.

    Installation sometimes loads of updates at a time can cause problems. When you access the list of the 300 updates Windows updates to odd day again, deselect all of them and then choose the oldest (for example) 50 and see if they install on their own.

    Sometimes do fall off a long list of updates and try to install more small pieces may help them to install.

    Is not sure, but its worth a try as a first shot.

    (I know what you mean though issues of update.) It makes you wonder what's going on sometimes :-()

    If this does not help, is there required failure account error codes?
